This past week has not been kind to the exoteric progressive Left’s agenda. In quick succession, lefties have seen the highest court in the land hand them losses on religious school funding, gun control, voter ID, the repeal of Roe v. Wade, and then school prayer (and they could potentially take another L later this week in the case of West Virginia v. EPA). The thing about this is that these losses are not merely symbolic - as important as that would be in and of itself for undermining the Left’s carefully cultivated image of inevitability. Instead, many of these...

The public pension situation could get really messy in the near future. There are currently about 300 state-administered and nearly 6,000 locally-administered public retirement plans, according to PublicPlansData, a project of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College and the MissionSquare Research Institute. Those public pension systems have 14.7 million workers (e.g., state and local government employees, teachers, police and fire departments) and 11.2 million retirees. Collectively, those systems had some $4.5 trillion in assets at the end of 2021. After six months of stock and bond market declines, those assets have likely dropped significantly, putting public pension plans...

“I’ve covered politics a long time,” Bret Baier said on the air. “I don’t think there has been testimony like this — that is kind of jaw-dropping, in a way — on the inside workings of a White House in crisis after, you know, at this moment, Jan. 6, that we have seen since Watergate.” < snip > Baier continued to comment on Hutchinson’s testimony. “Bottom line though, this testimony is stunning … I think this — it does move the ball in this hearing,” he said.

President Joe Biden fled his news conference Tuesday when asked by reporters about the 51 migrants who were found dead inside a truck trailer in San Antonio. The president held a joint news conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez after traveling to Spain for a NATO meeting with European leaders. But he did not take questions after the news conference was over. “Mr. President any reaction to the death of 50 migrants in Texas?” one reporter asked as the president and prime minister turned to leave. Biden did not answer the question, turning and walking away instead. A total...

Within months after dropping MyPillow products from their stores, Bed Bath & Beyond is in a fiscal freefall. They have now fired their CEO and are turning off air conditioners in retail stores across the country in an effort to save money. Chances are dropping MyPillow played less of a role in their current freefall than the fact that Bidenomics is tearing through retail stores like an Oklahoma tornado, but it’s conspicuous that Bed Bath & Beyond seems to have been hit harder than less “woke” retailers. For transparency, we wholeheartedly support MyPillow, not just because they’re one of our...

VIDEOThat fable that was spun for the January 6 Committee by Cassidy Hutchinson about how an enraged President Trump was supposedly held back by the Secret Service from grabbing the steering wheel in his limo in order to go to the Capitol? That tall tale is already falling apart as you can see but not before many in the media hilariously swallowed the fable hook, line, and sinker.

I have often wondered how to determine when the United States of America is approaching a catastrophic financial crisis, similar to the stock market crash of 1929. President Biden will never provide us with that information because it would further expose him as a dysfunctional, incompetent, nowhere man sitting in his nowhere fake office land. Biden, as the captain of the Titanic, would yell, "Full speed ahead. Maybe we'll get lucky and hit a mine!" You get the point. The Biden administration, better known as dysfunction junction, still blames Trump for their disastrous tenure in office: "Hey, look over there...

The cash donation accepted by the Prince of Wales for his charity would not happen now, a royal source says. "That was then, this is now," the source said, following reports Prince Charles had accepted around £2.5m ($3m) in cash in a suitcase and carrier bags. "It was passed immediately to his charity and it was his charity who decided to accept the money," said the senior royal source. The cash was from former Qatari prime minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim. The Charity Commission earlier this week said it was considering whether it needed to review the donation, with a...

Apparently, Christianity is no longer acceptable in the marketplace of ideas, Twitter. An associate pastor in Texas, Gabriel Hughes, was just permanently banned from Twitter with no stated explanation from the social media site. Gabe is a popular Twitter user in conservative Christian circles and is often seen as "controversial" because he actually preaches the Bible. The tweet that got him the perma-boot from Twitter was one in which he stated that all sin is worthy of death, which is kinda the underlying premise for God's redemptive work throughout the entirety of the Bible believed over thousands of years by...

Ford Motor Co. will be suspending end-of-lease buyout options for customers driving all-electric vehicles, provided they took possession of the model after June 15, 2022. Those who nabbed their Mach-E beforehand will still have the option of purchasing the automobile once their lease ends. However, there are some states that won’t be abiding by the updated rules until the end of the year, not that it matters when customers are almost guaranteed to have to wait at least that long on a reserved vehicle. The change, made earlier in the month, cruised under our radar until a reader asked for...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi received Communion during a papal Mass at the Vatican Wednesday despite her support of abortion contrary to Catholic teaching. Mrs. Pelosi, who had met earlier with Pope Francis, was observed by two people to have received Communion from a priest at the Mass, The Associated Press reported. Francis presided at the Mass but did not personally distribute Communion at the event, which honored St. Peter and St. Paul. Mrs. Pelosi’s action comes roughly six weeks after San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said in a letter that she should not present herself for Communion within the archdiocese.

More than a dozen women in Russia's Republic of Buryatia have recorded a video statement urging the head of the Siberian region to recall their husbands from Ukraine where they are serving with the Russian armed forces. One of the women, Vera Partilkhayeva, told RFE/RL on June 28 that the women's husbands were deployed in what were officially called military drills in January. But since February, they have been taking part in what Russian officials call the "special military operation" in Ukraine. "Since February 24, they have been taking part in the special operation. They have been exhausted both morally...
