As a young military service member, Richard Kingsberry said he wasn’t aware that two of the bases where he served had been named after Confederate leaders Braxton Bragg and Robert E. Lee. That realization would happen later, but it helped sparked him to join the effort to see names on military boats, installations and other places removed, saying that they sent the wrong message about the nation’s history and ideals. The effort to remove the namesakes of those who aligned themselves with the Confederacy hit a critical step as the Naming Commission recently put forth several names to replace military...

You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day. “Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place...

The Florida Department of Health urged the state’s board of medicine to establish standards of care in accordance with guidance strongly advising against child sex treatments in a Thursday letter. Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo pointed to a lack of evidence on the safety and efficacy of the procedures and urged the Florida Board of Medicine to consider the department’s guidance that advised against child sex changes, according to the letter. The move is the latest effort from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration to restrict sex-change treatments, particularly for children. “The Department thinks that the evidence speaks for itself,” Florida...

Remarkably, Stephanopoulos references one of the most insane New York Times op-ed’s ever written around economics {ARTICLE HERE}. Within the reference, the Democrat legislative proposal is for the government to take over the purchasing of essential products like food, fuel, gasoline and medicine. The government would then distribute those products. The entire premise is based on some academic leftist theory of economics that is just nuts. It looks nothing like capitalism. The baseline for the approach contains the premise that inflation is driven by too many people chasing scarce goods. Thus prices are rising. This is how the Democrats look...

This past week Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen made the surprising admission that she was wrong about inflation. However, days later the Saturday Politico Playbook put a not very subtle shift in blame by headlining that "Yellen admits Biden got inflation wrong."In addition to shifting inflation blame to Biden and away from Yellen, Politico went even further by portraying Yellen as a sort of secret inflation fighter within the administration. The problem with that spin that contradicts Yellen's own admission is that it relies on a Saturday Bloomberg article about a soon to be released Yellen biography that proclaimed...

President Joe Biden is getting more frustrated by his flailing presidency, according to another report in the establishment media. Politico’s Jonathan Lemire cites five White House officials and Democrats close to the Biden Administration who point to “the greatest source of West Wing frustration, coming from behind the Resolute Desk.” Biden is exasperated, the report says, that his approval ratings are below former President Donald Trump’s. The report also notes Biden is “far more prone to salty language behind the scenes than popularly known” and “erupted” over the optics of the baby formula shortages.

How deluded are RINO Republicans? Let’s check in with Rep. Tom Rice (RINO-SC). In an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Rice appears to be reluctant about the idea of having Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Speaker of the House, should the Republicans–as expected–take over the House after the November midterms. But guess who he thinks would be a “great speaker”? This is funny. Rice, who was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump, claims Rep. Liz Cheney would be a good choice, “She’s a real Republican. I think she is very conservative and I think...

Candidates have pleaded for his backing for months. But as the next round of midterm primaries nears, a growing number of Republicans have admitted they've developed an acute case of Donald Trump fatigue. snip “Trump fatigue is all over the place. It’s among committee people and especially elected officials,” said a GOP party official who has been involved in multiple campaigns who asked not to be named out of fear of Trump’s reprisal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin lost two of his most senior commanders in a single day in a devastating bridge ambush in eastern Ukraine, a group of independent journalists working on both sides of the war have claimed. Russia confirmed the death of Major-General Roman Kutuzov on Sunday, but new reports on Monday said Lieutenant-General Roman Berdnikov was killed on the same day in an attack carried out by Kyiv's forces. It has been suggested that the unusual speed with which Kutuzov's death was confirmed by Moscow was an attempt to cover up the loss of Berdnikov, 47. Less than a...

Last week we showed that while US natural gas prices have had several catalysts that have propelled them higher in recent weeks, one of the biggest drivers why natural gas is trading at the highest level in over a decade, was the recent surge in LNG exports to Europe as Reuters’ energy expert John Kemp explained in detail. But while the surge in oil exports is bad news for US consumers, it’s fantastic news for LNG tankers because as the FT reports, the world’s largest gas traders are scrambling to secure liquefied natural gas tankers ahead of winter after the...

Behind all our disasters there looms an ideology, a creed that ignores cause and effect in the real world—without a shred of concern for the damage done to those outside the nomenklatura.

One day historians will look back at the period beginning with the COVID lockdowns of spring 2020 through the midterm elections of 2022 to understand how America for over two years lost its collective mind and turned into something unrecognizable and antithetical to its founding principles.

WASHINGTON, Thursday, June 5. The following dispatch was received to-day at the War Department: NEW-BRIDGE, June 5 -- 10:30 A.M. To Hon. E.M. Stanton, Secretary of War: My telegraphic dispatch of June 1, in regard to the battle of Fair Oaks, was incorrectly published in the newspapers. I send with this a correct copy, which I request may be published at once. I am the more anxious about this, since my dispatch, as published, would seem to ignore the services of Gen. SUMNER, which were too valuable and brilliant to be overlooked, both in the difficult passage of the stream...
