Politico Badly Portrays Yellen as Stealth Inflation Fighter

This past week Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen made the surprising admission that she was wrong about inflation. However, days later the Saturday Politico Playbook put a not very subtle shift in blame by headlining that "Yellen admits Biden got inflation wrong."

In addition to shifting inflation blame to Biden and away from Yellen, Politico went even further by portraying Yellen as a sort of secret inflation fighter within the administration. The problem with that spin that contradicts Yellen's own admission is that it relies on a Saturday Bloomberg article about a soon to be released Yellen biography that proclaimed "Yellen Wanted Biden Relief Plan Cut by a Third, Biographer Says" yet skipped the vital parts of the story that counter that claim.

Pathetic Politico attempt to make us thing that Janet Yellen was NOT a horrible Secretary of the Treasury. This is also like Robert STRANGE McNamara in his memoirs pretending that he was really against the war in Vietnam while Secretary of Defense.

When she was with the Fed there were serious questions whether she actually understood the economics involved. Now that she is an out in the open full fledged socialist-dem, the question is even more valid.

Increasing production would be good, but I THINK we have enough now. Problem is Europe is paying serious premiums right now, so our profit-conscious oil companies are shipping it there for bigger bucks. We COULD pass a law that only our SURPLUS could be exported, but you know how gov't intervention works...I'm sure there would be some unintended consequences.
