An 18-year-old Florida man has been arrested for “threatening to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.” Corey Anderson, 18, of Lutz, had posted images of himself with what appeared to be a handgun, a rifle, and a tactical style vest — along with the caption “Hey Siri, directions to the nearest school.” He was arrested at his home on Sunday after someone called in a tip to law enforcement. After further investigation, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office determined the handgun and rifle were “airsoft guns,” according to a press release. “This type of threat is unacceptable....

Where was Salvador Ramos born? Early reports say he was from North Dakota. North Dakota is a big state. In what town in North Dakota was the future mass killer born? Where is a copy of his North Dakota birth certificate? How about a baptism certificate? I took Mr. LoCascio’s Critical Thinking class in high school in 1970 AD. This class taught us to question sources and not to believe everything we read. In this era of “fake news” and disinformation, I think it is fair to ask the question, “Where was Salvador Ramos born?”

This month the Task Force on National Security at the University of Ottawa published a white paper which lays out a plan for a major re-organisation of Canada’s intelligence agencies to better deal with the “intense global instability when the security of Canada and other liberal democracies is under growing threat.” By Matthew EhretUpon looking at those who participated in the crafting of this “discussion” paper, which includes several former CSIS directors, advisors to Prime Ministers and high-level civil servants, it can quickly be seen that this is no benign academic exercise but represents a top-down policy intention. The authors...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) warned state voters to "not let lower-48 donors determine who is sent to Washington to represent us. These donors don't know our state like I do. Don't let their donations to my opponent allow her to unseat me." Murkowski's characterization of the race doesn't match up well with the data. According to public campaign finance documents, 85% of Murkowski's funds come from out-of-state donors. Further, 89% of her $5 million campaign chest comes from large donors. Her opponent Kelly Tshibaka's campaign chest of $2.5 million has garnered 50% from out-of-state donors. Of the total $2.5 million,...

The US government appears close to sending a long-range multiple-rocket system (MLRS) to Ukraine. Russia sees such deliveries of heavy weapons as a provocative escalation. President Volodymyr Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials have urged delivery of the MLRS to counter Russia's heavy bombardments in the eastern Donbas region. But President Joe Biden said the US would not send Ukraine rocket systems "that can strike into Russia". There are concerns that such action would risk drawing the US and its Nato allies into direct conflict with Moscow. Moscow has welcomed President Biden's decision not to send weapons to Ukraine that could...

While former President Donald Trump went all-in for ex-Sen. David Perdue in the recent Georgia Republican gubernatorial primary, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie backed incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp. Kemp, who was elected in 2018 on a conservative platform and with the then-blessing of Trump, fought vigorously to win renomination as his party's nominee as he sought reelection to a second term — brushing aside complaints from Trump that the governor didn't help him enough during the 2020 election. The governor, who has spent nearly four years signing conservative pieces of legislation into law, won the Tuesday GOP primary in...

The Office for National Statistics has revealed that between January 2021 and March 2022 a total of 69,466 people died within 28 days of Covid-19 vaccination, and 109,408 people died within 60 days of vaccination in England. In order to justify implementing Draconian restrictions in the name of Covid-19, the UK Government, with the help of the mainstream media, would publicise daily the number of Covid-19 deaths to have allegedly occurred that day. The metric used then, and still being used now, is any death occurring within 28 days of a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 is counted as a Covid-19...

The United States will not send Ukraine rocket systems that can reach into Russia, President Joe Biden said on Monday, as Ukraine pushes for longer-range weapons system to help in its fight. Ukrainian officials have been asking allies for longer-range systems including the Multiple Launch Rocket System, or MLRS, that can fire a barrage of rockets hundreds of miles away. "We're not going to send to Ukraine rocket systems that strike into Russia," Biden told reporters after arriving back at the White House after a weekend in Delaware.

The world has about 10 weeks of wheat supplies stored as Russia's invasion of Ukraine enters its fourth month, a food insecurity expert told the UN. Sara Menker, the CEO of agriculture analytics firm Gro Intelligence, told the UN Security Council that the Russia-Ukraine war was not the cause of a food security crisis but "simply added fuel to a fire that was long burning." Ukraine is considered the world's "breadbasket" and Russia and Ukraine combined account for almost a third of the world's wheat exports.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a man and a 10-year-old boy were killed in a drive-by shooting in Philadelphia hours after another drive-by claimed the life of a 1-year-old boy in Pittsburgh on the other side of the state — and on a violent holiday weekend that saw at least eight other homicides in Philadelphia. Police said a 38-year-old man had just parked a car near his home in the Wissinoming section of northeast Philadelphia at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday and was still inside with the 10-year-old boy when more than a dozen shots were fired from another vehicle. In...

Fox News anchor John Roberts recently asked on Twitter: “Question: anyone out there having chest pain after getting the booster?” Over 4,600 replies later, it would appear that many of his Twitter followers have indeed suffered chest pain, along with many other adverse events after getting injected with the mRNA or Adenoviral Vector DNA genetic products. “I had numerous internal bleeding and eventually a mysterious heart issue after the first 2 shots. No boosters . . . EVER!!!!” responded sports talk radio host Tony Bruno. “To my shock yes. One week after booster of Pfizer (had two astra zenecas first)...

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says drivers are increasingly refusing to stop for troopers - and other law enforcement agencies also say this is becoming a common occurrence. “Something’s changed. People are not stopping right now,” said Sgt. Darren Wright, a WSP spokesperson with 31 years on the job. Steve Strachan and others in law enforcement connect the increase in failures-to-yield to passage last year of House Bill 1054, a sweeping police tactics law that, among other things, barred high-speed pursuits except in very limited circumstances. The law was part of a package of police reforms majority...

University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) professor and MSNBC contributor Anthea Butler suggested that Texas police didn’t respond sooner to the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde because they “didn’t give a damn” about a school filled with mostly “brown kids.” “So since no one else will ask, I will. Did those children die because most of them were Mexican American and the police didn’t give a damn about a school w predominately brown kids? I mean, because it’s Texas.. and if you think everyone who isn’t white is illegal,” Butler tweeted on Friday.

Nearly thirteen hundred years ago today, on May 28, 722,* a little-known but profoundly important battle was waged, setting the tone for the next eight hundred years of Christian/Muslim “coexistence” in Spain: the Battle of Covadonga. Ten years earlier, Arabs and Africans — “Moors,” under the banner of Islam — had “godlessly invaded Spain to destroy it,” to quote from the Chronicle of 754. Once on European soil, they “ruined beautiful cities, burning them with fire; condemned lords and powerful men to the cross; and butchered youths and infants with the sword.” After meeting and beating Spain’s Visigothic nobles at...
