As I write this, Australia has a Prime Minister-Elect from the Socialist Left Faction of the Australian Labor Party. Daniel Andrews, the Premier of the State of Victoria, is from the same faction. The next state election in Victoria is due on November 26 which is the anniversary of the cremation of the ashes of Fidel Castro in 2016. The centralised planning mentality of Andrews turned the city of Melbourne into the most locked down city in the world. The economy is in ruins with massive debts. The people have been deeply traumatised. As a lover of freedom, whose dad...

Ukrainian fighters were overjoyed after they blew up one of Russia's deadly vacuum bomb launchers in an enormous explosion. Vladimir Putin's war effort was once again damaged as Volodymyr Zelensky's troops destroyed another piece of Moscow's military equipment. The Ukrainian 80th Air Assault Brigade hit a TZM-T (TOS-1 reloading vehicle) with a Stugna-P ATGM, a Ukrainian anti-tank guided missile. Footage shows missiles being fired at a Russian TOS-1 launcher on the side of a hill before the thermobaric missile launcher explodes with a massive ball of fire and thick smoke.

MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. Russian energy giant Gazprom confirms its full-stop to natural gas deliveries to Finland after Finnish company Gasum failed to pay in rubles for the previous supplies, Russia’s company said in a statement on Saturday. "Gazprom has cut off its gas supplies to Gasum (Finland) due to a failure of the latter to pay for the gas deliveries in rubles," the statement reads. "As of the end of the work day on May 20, Gazprom Export did not receive a payment from Gasum for gas deliveries in April in line with the [Russian] presidential order…" The Russian...

A loyal dog was ready to lay down her own life to rescue her best friend during a recent mountain lion attack in Northern California. A few minutes after twenty-four-year-old Erin Wilson parked her truck and began walking down a trail to the Trinity River, the unthinkable happened, NPR reported Saturday. “I’m just walking down the slope and the dog had run ahead of me. And I turn around and there’s this cat just growling at me and it reaches up and it swipes at me,” she recalled of the harrowing incident. “At first, I was just like, Wait, what?...

Imagine being a parent on a budget, down to your last container of formula: You drive to four different grocery stores, two Wal-Marts, a Target and a Rite-Aid, racking up more than 60 miles in pursuit of nourishment for your child. You not only have zero luck finding anything to feed your baby; you have also used up a lot of gas. Along that drive you likely also saw significant evidence of a drug problem — either in the gaunt, vacant faces on people walking along Main Street or the batch of new treatment centers that have popped up where...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have 'lost another key aide' after parting company with their global press secretary - the latest of at least 12 of their top staff to leave since 2018. Toya Holness, who has a degree in strategic PR from the University of Southern California, joined the Sussexes in October 2020 and was promoted to oversee their PR on both sides of the Atlantic in March last year. She has previously been described as 'Meghan’s shadow' - having often been seen wearing the same style of power suits and Hollywood sunglasses. The former football player had been...

The headstone, etched with the name Thadius Peck (1711-1781), was discovered by Richard and John Ryan on April 18 as they were walking along the river looking for an old fishing spot. The two came across an "odd-shaped stone" in a clearing across from the river and took a closer look. They cleaned off the muck and moss that had grown on it, and realized it wasn't just a flat rock but a headstone for someone who had been dead for 241 years. The stone is so old, it predates the founding of Cuyahoga Falls by three decades. It's even older...

Democrat super PACs are posing as Republicans and spending millions of dollars in Nevada’s Republican gubernatorial primary in an attempt to prevent former President Donald Trump’s pick, Joe Lombardo, from becoming the GOP nominee. Clark County Sheriff Lombardo, whom Trump recently endorsed, is now leading the Nevada GOP gubernatorial primary by 20 points less than one month away from the state’s June 14 primary election, according to a recent poll. Trump said: As Governor, Joe will fiercely Protect our under-siege Second Amendment, Oppose Sanctuary Cities, Support our Law Enforcement, Veto any Liberal Tax Increase, Protect Life, and Secure our Elections....

Sixth Sunday of Easter John 14:23-29 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus says that the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in Christ’s name, will teach his disciples everything. The Holy Spirit is the love shared by the Father and the Son. We have access to this holy heart of God only because the Father sent the Son into the world, into our dysfunction, even to the limits of godforsakenness—and thereby gathered all of the world into the dynamism of the divine life. Those who live in Christ are not outside of God as petitioners or supplicants; rather, they are...

link to Africa, where the disease is most commonly found, said the officials, who spoke without being identified as a condition of participating in the call. While the risk to the general public is low, health workers are being alerted to monitor possible cases and use protective equipment when needed, they said. Unlike the COVID-19 virus, which is spread through the air and respiratory droplets, spreading monkeypox requires much closer contact. Sharing bedding, clothing or a toothbrush with an infected person would create greater risk, the officials said on the call. In Massachusetts, where the one US case has been...

WASHINGTON — The House voted on Tuesday to grant its aides the legal protections to form a union, the most significant step in more than a quarter-century to ensure that the chamber’s staff members can bargain over their working conditions without fear of retaliation. The vote came amid pressure from aides, particularly junior staff members, who have become increasingly open about their frustrations with the low pay, long hours and notoriously difficult work environment on Capitol Hill. It marks the latest move by the Democratic-controlled House to stem the exodus of career staff members leaving for higher pay and more...

As I was enjoying a picture commentary about the time king Saul attacked David, I was given an insight I had never previously considered. It's a connection that ties Saul's attack on David and our Lord Jesus being confronted by the religious leaders for plucking kernels of grain to eat on the Sabbath. Jesus used the moment in history when David was fleeing Saul to teach the religious leaders about the true nature of the Sabbath as meant by GOD. Yet, when you consider all the factors involved in the two moments in history, you will learn that there is...

A few days ago, I suggested that a climate change class action lawsuit should be filed against those parties that clamor to destroy the economy via a Green Agenda that seeks to ban fossil fuels. Some commenters raised an interesting point: How do you prove damages? I think it’s possible and would serve as a good basis for any legal complaint. The Green Agenda is supported in part or full by the following parties: federal, state, and local governments; universities; Green NGOs; foundations; corporations; renewable proponents/owners; and entrepreneurs. A court could determine if these entities are correct that anthropogenic climate...

Mortgage rates have increased dramatically under “Middle Class Joe” as The Federal Reserve attempts to choke-off inflation caused by … The Fed coupled with Biden’s energy policies (hope you are enjoying those high gasoline and diesel prices!) and the Federal government’s staggering spending spree under Pelosi, Schumer and McConnell. Thus far, The Federal Reserve has leveled-out out their Treasury Note and Bond purchases, increased their Agency Mortgage-backed Securities (AgMBS) holdings, but strangely have reduced their holding of Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) in the face of rising inflation. And while The Fed Funds Target rate is a lowly 1%, it is...

Members of Ukraine's National Guard have destroyed a piece of heavy artillery used by the Russian invasion forces to blow up the Pavlohrad bridge and shell the town of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said in a Telegram post on May 21. According to Haidai, a television report by Russian propagandists "helped" to adjust the fire of Ukrainian defenders. "The punishment came instantly," Haidai said.

King Herod the Great, king of Judea in the second half of the first century BC, is well known for his grandiose building projects, abundant wealth, political power and relentless pursuit of the opulent Roman lifestyle. Among the few archaeological artifacts found which give a peek into his private life are two of his personal calcite-alabaster bathtubs found in the palace of Herodium and his Kypros fortress near Jericho.Though never scientifically tested, archaeologists have until now assumed that all calcite-alabaster vessels found in the Southern Levant (modern day Israel and Palestine) had been made with foreign alabaster mainly from Egypt....

Russian energy giant Gazprom said on Saturday it had suspended all gas deliveries to Finland after Helsinki refused to pay in roubles. Finnish state energy company Gasum did not accept the terms set by Moscow by the 20 May deadline, leading Gazprom to "completely stopped gas deliveries," the Russian group said in a statement. "As of 1 April, gas payments must be made in roubles using new bank details, which the partners were informed of in good time," Gazprom said.
