Roberts brainwashing? Seems unlikely. In the confirmation hearings she didn't have to refer to her notes.
I think congress should have passed a law making this kind of human smuggling illegal but not enough of the members of congress care about the Republic.
Unfortunately, we might not be able to count on SCOTUS or congress.
