The Biden administration will appeal a ruling by a federal judge that temporarily stopped the roll back of Title 42, according to a statement from the White House released Friday. “The Administration disagrees with the court’s ruling, and the Department of Justice has announced that it will appeal this decision,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, according to the statement. I would love to learn more about my favorite South American nation. What Inflation? In March 2022, the US CPI reading showed an 8.5% year-over-year inflation print, the highest since 1981. Pretty rough, right? Well in March 2022, Argentina recorded...

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairwoman Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) stated that the FDA moved too slowly to address the formula shortage and didn’t notify the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) until two weeks before the Abbott plant was shut down and that it seems as though “FDA thought it was going to be a short shutdown, and then the plant itself, Abbott, has been resistant, really, in my judgment, to really quickly doing what they need to do.” Stabenow said, “USDA was given about two weeks’ heads-up before the plant...

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) mocked Christians for opposing abortion and ranted about how babies in the womb are not a life. “Oh… for people saying you’re harming a life, I believe this is life, well some religions don’t, so how about that!” AOC said mocking Christians. "Our Jewish brothers and sisters – they are able to have an abortion according to their faith, you know, there are so many faiths that do not have the same definition of life as fundamentalist Christians…it is theocratic! It’s authoritarian,” AOC said. VIDEO:

Federal health officials on Friday advised clinicians to watch out for a telltale rash that could be a symptom of monkeypox, a rare viral infection found in the U.S. earlier this week. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an advisory Friday, saying it is working with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to investigate a confirmed case of monkeypox in the state. Senior health officials told reporters the case “is highly unusual” because it doesn’t appear to have any direct link to any of the countries in Western Central Africa where monkeypox is commonly found. Officials, speaking anonymously,...

Let the record show that Russia may see cutting off its future revenues as a lesser price to pay than denting Vladimir Putin’s ego. And that could very well be a rational calculation, given the tremendously destabilizing impact that a humiliation in Ukraine would likely produce. However, the humiliations stacking up on the other side of the equation carry a cost too, sometimes literally : Russia will cut natural gas supplies to Finland on Saturday, according to Finland’s state energy provider, the latest salvo in a growing confrontation between the two countries over the war in Ukraine. Finland this week...

Begun, the Eucharist Wars have Exercising his authority as prelate of San Francisco, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone proclaimed that Nancy Pelosi’s support for unlimited abortion at all stages of gestation prevents her from legitimately receiving communion in the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s position on abortion has become only more extreme over the years, especially in the last few months. Just earlier this month she once again, as she has many times before,...

Charles Spicer. Pegasus, $29.95 (400p) ISBN 978-1-63936-226-4Historian Spicer debuts with a detailed yet unpersuasive attempt to rehabilitate the reputation of the Anglo-German Fellowship, an “exclusive friendship society” comprising British aristocrats, politicians, businessmen, and military leaders who “wined, dined and charmed the leading National Socialists in Germany in the 1930s.” Classifying the group’s members as “amateur intelligence agents,” Spicer draws a somewhat murky distinction between their attempts to “civilize” the Nazi regime in order to avert war and Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement. Focusing on Fellowship members Philip Conwell-Evans, a Welsh political secretary and historian; Grahame Christie, a WWI...
