President Joe Biden’s approval rating dipped to the lowest point of his presidency in May, a new poll shows, with deepening pessimism emerging among members of his own Democratic Party. Only 39% of U.S. adults approve of Biden’s performance as president, according to the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research, dipping from already negative ratings a month earlier. Overall, only about 2 in 10 adults say the U.S. is heading in the right direction or the economy is good, both down from about 3 in 10 a month earlier. Those drops were concentrated among Democrats, with just...

Chris Nelson is not afraid to ask politicians tough questions. During the first few months of the COVID-19 shutdown, he demanded answers from Broward County officials, asking, “Why is it OK to go to Walmart during the shutdown, but I can’t go to church or the beach? By what authority did these people shut things down? What right did they have to put these rules into effect?” Chris Nelson, who works in the entertainment industry, is a self-proclaimed “Freedom Fighter” who frequently attends public demonstrations to confront the hypocrisy of elected officials. “I’m just a regular guy who wants to...

In May alone, Italy reportedly imported 450,000 barrels of Russian crude oil per day. This is four times more than the country was buying off Russia in February, when Russia first invaded Ukraine, according to Kpler, a commodity data company. The move will see Italy become the EU’s biggest import hub for Russian seaborne crude. One EU diplomat told The Times: "It’s becoming clearer by the day that three sides are forming: Poland and the Baltic states, known as the Sanctionistas that want more and stronger sanctions."Germany, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria — the Contras — that prioritise their own economic interests.”

A scientific journal published by top Wuhan Institute of Virology researchers shared studies appearing to engage in gain-of-function type research, a controversial method of studying pathogens that can increase their lethality. The Wuhan Institute of Virology is believed to have engaged in the risky form of research regarding bat coronaviruses, as now-deleted webpages reveal the lab manipulating bat coronaviruses to “replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers equivalent to epidemic strains of SARS-CoV.” Now, the latest edition of the lab’s journal, Virologica Sinica, appears to contain a similar style of research with the H7N9 virus...

Are Republicans a bunch of racists? That's certainly the narrative that the corporate media is pushing as hard as it can. The context this time is the tragic killing spree in Buffalo, New York, carried out by a mentally deranged racist whose online manifesto includes a whole slew of racist and antisemitic conspiracies. Are those sorts of things part of mainstream Republican thought? As an Indian American immigrant and a conservative Republican, this is not what I have experienced in any manner. The racism charge today is based mostly on an alleged "great replacement theory," which the left claims a...

A little-known Minnesota nonprofit made national headlines in the wake of the Geoge Floyd riots of late spring 2020. The Minnesota Freedom Fund received a flood of donations after offering to bail out protestors arrested during the unrest in Minneapolis. Future Vice President Kamala Harris, among other, promoted the effort at the time. It turns out the Minnesota Freedom Fund also bailed out criminals who had nothing to do with the protest/riots. Some of those freed have gone on to commit more serious crimes.

LONDON (Reuters) -In a sign of Russia's urgent need to bolster its war effort in Ukraine, parliament said on Friday it would consider a bill to allow Russians over 40 and foreigners over 30 to sign up for the military. The website of the State Duma, parliament's lower house, said the move would enable the military to utilise the skills of older professionals. "For the use of high-precision weapons, the operation of weapons and military equipment, highly professional specialists are needed. Experience shows that they become such by the age of 40–45," it said. Currently, only Russians aged 18-40 and...

Iranian citizens from all walks of life have been protesting for more than a week over the additional hardships imposed on them by the regime through its arbitrary removal of food subsidies. At least half the population rely on these subsidies. The protests are becoming increasingly political while authorities are taking desperate measures to suppress them. Ordinary Iranians are appealing to the international community for assistance in preventing a dramatic rise in the rate of fatalities resulting from the crackdown. A prominent figure in the opposition, Maryam Rajavi, echoed that sentiment on Monday, noting that support from the US and...

“‘“Your kingdom come’’” (Matthew 6:10). “Kingdom” is not so much a geographical territory as it is a sovereign dominion. When Christians pray “Your kingdom come,” they are asking God to rule through Christ’s future enthronement, His coming reign over the earth. The Greek for “come” indicates a sudden, instantaneous coming and here refers to the coming millennial kingdom (Rev. 20:4). Jesus is not speaking of some indirect effort by human good works to create a godly society on earth. God’s coming kingdom will be a kingdom on earth but not a kingdom of this present world system. Jesus told Pontius...

I have seen men mightily used of the Spirit who were later put on the shelf by God. The Lord told them, “I’m sorry, son. I love you. I forgive you. My mercy will come through for you, but I can’t use you right now.” To me, this is one of the most dreadful things that could ever happen. It happened to Saul, the king of Israel. “Samuel said to Saul, ‘You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which he commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over...

Tucker Carlson and his wife were looking to get their son a leg up in his college application to Georgetown University when they turned to a well-connected Washington friend who had an even better-connected father. “I realize you don’t really know Buckley,” Susie Carlson wrote via email in 2014 to Hunter Biden, a Georgetown graduate and the son of the then-vice president. “Maybe you could meet or speak to him and he could send you a very brief resume with his interests and grades attached.” Tucker Carlson offered that his son was a good squash player and an excellent fly...

The last time the American economic situation was this bad, then-President James Earl Carter Jr. got attacked by a killer rabbit and nearly cried in front of a live television audience lamenting the great malaise. Voters swept Ronald Reagan into the presidency to restore American confidence and take us from mourning in America to morning in America. Reagan, however, did not get there alone. A group of mostly accidental senators went into office with him. James Abdnor of South Dakota, Jeremiah Denton of Alabama, John Porter East of North Carolina, Paula Hawkins of Florida, Mack Mattingly of Georgia and Slade...

An employee at a special needs school in Riverside was arrested Tuesday after police received a tip that she was giving fentanyl to students. Riverside police officers responded to the Bright Futures Academy on County Farm Road around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a student who was out of control. While at the school, which serves special needs students between kindergarten and 12th grade, staff tipped off officers about an employee who may have been furnishing students with the illegal opioid. Chief Justice John Roberts’s announcement of an investigation into the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade has led to speculation about the form such an investigation would take and how effective it is likely to be. Based on our many years of experience conducting such investigations we know they can be challenging and disruptive to any organization, much less an institution where collegiality and confidentiality are sacrosanct. There are ways, however, to get to the truth while respecting the court’s singular and delicate ecosystem. Supreme Court Marshal Col. Gail A. Curley has been...

Taylor Lorenz’s piece on the apparent demise of the Department of Homeland Security’s “disinformation board” prompts me to make a confession. Like many others, I did, indeed, “attack” the Department of Homeland Security, its stupid misinformation board, and its ridiculous nominee, Nina Jankowicz. I mocked it, and her, and I did so without compunction. I suggested that the DHS’s name was a bit “Russian.” I called its proposal a “Ministry of Truth.” And Jankowicz did, as charged, become “a primary target” of my words — which, if I recall correctly, included the claims that she was an “an extremely strange...

Is it Donald Trump's Republican Party? You can make the case it is, as partisan Democrats do, from the victories of various candidates endorsed by the former president in Republican primaries. But it's not an airtight case, and Trump's batting average is inflated by the dozens of endorsements he has made of incumbents with no significant primary opposition. Thus Trump endorsed Gov. Greg Abbott and many other easy winners in Texas's Tuesday primary. But incumbent Attorney General Ken Paxton, endorsed by Trump last July, was forced into a runoff by George P. Bush. Paxton leads in runoff polling, but one...
