An ethics watchdog organization asked the House Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) for allegedly abusing the proxy vote process. Under the House Clerk’s coronavirus policies, members of Congress are allowed to vote by proxy if they are unable to vote in person on the House floor due to the “public health emergency.”

On Friday’s broadcast of C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal,” Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) said that the House’s version of the Women’s Health Protection Act, which she sponsored and which passed the House in 2021 “was actually the most pro-abortion bill passed in Congress in history.”

There has been a lot of speculation about the health of Vladimir Putin since he ordered the invasion of Ukraine. Reports and speculation have ranged from Parkinson’s to cancer. My colleague Bob Hoge noted that Putin pulled out of a hockey game that he has historically always played in. He sent a video message, despite being at the same resort where the game was being played. He’s previously claimed that hockey has helped his longevity, and he’s used his participation in the game to shut down rumors about his health. In the video, he was seen with dark blotches on...

To my law school classmate who tweeted, “my love language is marg bar [death to] Israel”: thank you. To the Students for Justice in Palestine, who explained: “Zionism is, by design, an ideology that promotes violence against, and hatred and delegitimization of Palestinians. Embedded in the Zionist supremacy narrative is the orientalist, Islamophobic idea that Azkenazi [sic] Jewish whiteness is fundamentally superior to Palestinian lives, culture, and identity”: thank you. To the dozen NYU student groups that signed on to their statement defending terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians because “People living under occupation have a right to resist their violent...

This week the European Union is expected to announce a complete import ban on Russian oil. Hungary, in its first real act of defiance, is threatening to veto this; Germany, after some hemming and hawing, has finally decided it can survive such a ban. Assuming Hungary’s objections are eventually overcome, at first blush this looks like yet another energy “own goal” by the people obsessed with soccer. The U.S. has already issued this ban. Because European industry is heavily dependent on Russian oil and gas, the conventional wisdom is that the EU Commission is just petulant and incompetent. Are they...

FOX News is a shell of its former self. As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier — Last week The Gateway Pundit reported on how FOX News joined the mainstream liberal media cabal and boycotted coverage of the “2000 Mules” documentary. The movie reveals evidence of the nationwide ballot trafficking conspiracy by Democrats to steal the 2020 presidential election. To his credit, Tucker Carlson did invite True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht on his top-rated program the day after the premiere of the movie at Mar-a-Lago. But then last Saturday night election integrity investigator Gregg Phillips, who was a top investigator in...

No country is as much a prisoner of its past as Russia. And no leader has become as much a victim of his own obsessive lies as Vladimir Putin. But where did this tragedy for the Russian people as well as Ukraine begin? And why did we not see this coming after the unspeakable brutality of Putin's conduct of war in Chechnya and Syria, deliberately using barrel bombs and nerve gas against civilian populations? I certainly cannot claim to be one of the very few who had foreseen Putin's reckless gamble of invading Ukraine. I also underestimated the lingering resentment...

Supporters of Donald Trump won’t want to hear this. As a supporter of Donald Trump myself, I don’t want to write it. But there’s a reality that needs to be explained for the sake of understanding why Donald Trump is endorsing certain people. It may be uncomfortable for some to hear, but it needs to be said. Throughout this primary season, Donald Trump has made a few questionable endorsements. Dr. Mehmet Oz, who is AT BEST a milquetoast centrist and at worst a RINO globalist, is arguably his worst endorsement and the most noteworthy in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary. But...

There’s a baby formula shortage in the United States. Republican lawmakers and conservative media members are taking frustration out on immigrants. Fox News hosts have spent the past 24 hours raising hell over immigrant babies at the U.S.-Mexico border receiving formula, arguing that it should instead be distributed to Americans first. “[For] American families there’s a shortage, but if you’re a migrant, don’t worry because Uncle Sam has a stash of that,” Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy said Friday morning. The subject became fodder for right-wing xenophobia earlier this week, with Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) on Wednesday tweeting a...

A gunman wearing military-style clothing and body armor opened fire with a rifle at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, killing at least 10 people before being taken into custody Saturday afternoon, law enforcement officials told The Associated Press. Details on the number of additional people shot at the Tops Friendly Market and their conditions weren’t immediately available. The two officials were not permitted to speak publicly on the matter and did so on the condition of anonymity. The suspect was being questioned Saturday evening by the FBI, one of the officials said. Investigators believe the gunman may have been...

Turkey is working to negotiate an exit for the wounded Ukrainian soldiers sheltering in the bunkers of a steel plant in the port city of Mariupol, but its efforts have been complicated by the fluidity of the fighting on the ground and because neither Russia nor Ukraine has given clearance for the plan, Turkey’s presidential spokesman said Saturday. In an unusually candid interview by teleconference call from Istanbul, the spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, said Turkey had been talking to Ukraine and Russia, trying to find an agreement even as both sides kept changing their positions. “It really depends how the Russians...

On 22 May, the World Health Organisation meets for the World Health Assembly, an annual summit to which all the world’s countries are invited – except Taiwan, which is excluded at China’s behest. On the agenda is a “pandemic accord” that would greatly expand the WHO’s powers to intervene in a country in the event of a future outbreak. The European Union, true to form, pushed for a legally binding pandemic “treaty” instead, but that won’t happen for two reasons: the American Senate would need a two-thirds majority to ratify it; and the Chinese government would not allow even its pet...

The past two weeks have been quite an adventure for people who are concerned about the direction which American civil society has been taking recently. The widely reported leak of the Supreme Court’s impending decision in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organisation led to a system-wide meltdown on the Left. Since then, they’ve been “protesting” at the homes (and threatening the safety) of conservative SCOTUS justices, which is a federal crime. Violent left-wing fanatics have been firebombing pro-life HQs and pregnancy centres across the country. More generally, lefties have been making royal nuisances of themselves as they’ve...

A super PAC supporting Mehmet Oz, the celebrity surgeon and prominent candidate in Pennsylvania's Republican Senate primary, has released an attack ad that wildly distorts the past remarks and positions of Kathy Barnette, a party rival who is surging in late-campaign polls. The super PAC, American Leadership Action, tries to depict the right-wing Barnette, who ran unsuccessfully for the US House of Representatives in 2020, as a "crazy" advocate of liberal positions. To do so, though, the super PAC misleadingly truncated Barnette's past comments about race and policing and added inaccurate introductions to these shortened clips. The primary takes place...

Battery technology is the new bull's-eye for companies striving to meet the world's growing appetite for electric vehicles. Battery companies and automakers are investing heavily to build cheaper, denser and lighter batteries. New technologies run the gamut. Some give old battery chemistries a new twist for incremental improvements. Others change the battery form factor or battery assembly for significant gains in performance or costs. In the future, radically different chemistries and other big breakthroughs are expected to emerge. "Batteries are the new gold rush as far as automakers are concerned," said Ram Chandrasekaran, a mobility analyst at Wood Mackenzie who...

CRAZY KATHY, a DD214 is not about "entering" the military, it's about LEAVING the military, and your "uncharacterized" withdrawal from service IS A RED FLAG. What the hell were you up to anyway ? “What is a woman?” That is what Daily Wire host Matt Walsh wants to know. It seems like a simple question, yet with today’s gender ideology and activism, getting a clear answer appears elusive. Walsh, a husband, father, host, speaker, and author, travels the country and beyond in a new documentary asking this very question and trying to find a definite answer, only to be met with confusion and hostility from those telling children that they can change their sex.

The Leftist’s obsession with race is, as predicted, proving to be very damaging to interracial relationships, especially with school-aged children. One parent, Melissa Riley, has reported that her 13-year-old son is starting to be damaged by his school’s incessant focus on race. As schools adopt Liberal “anti-racist” programs, kids are becoming more conscious of racial differences in the classroom, and more focused on the narratives spewed by the Left about racism and privilege, further dividing our nation. Riley lives in the Charlottesville area of Virginia where her son attends school. Riley is a white and Native American woman, and her...

Three others were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
