A super PAC supporting Mehmet Oz, the celebrity surgeon and prominent candidate in Pennsylvania's Republican Senate primary, has released an attack ad that wildly distorts the past remarks and positions of Kathy Barnette, a party rival who is surging in late-campaign polls.
The super PAC, American Leadership Action, tries to depict the right-wing Barnette, who ran unsuccessfully for the US House of Representatives in 2020, as a "crazy" advocate of liberal positions. To do so, though, the super PAC misleadingly truncated Barnette's past comments about race and policing and added inaccurate introductions to these shortened clips.
The primary takes place on Tuesday. The super PAC did not respond to a request for comment on Friday.

The ad is indeed a blatant lie, even though CNN says so.
Apparently CNN is rooting for her. They must believe that she is extremely vulnerable in the general election.

What makes anyone think she can win? Also, I tire of the never-ending quests for “Black conservatives.” It always ends up like JC Watts, supporting racial quotas because at some point genetics do matter when it comes to achievement.
I’d rather vote for someone who can win with whom I agree 50% of the time than someone with whom I agree 75-80% of the time who can’t.
She’s a flawed candidate with issues of integrity and self-control. She’ll get crushed like a grape in the general, and wet be stuck with a Senator with whom I agree 0% of the time.

Wow! cnn is coming to Barnette’s defense. That should tell you all you need to know about her.
That she is, but we really know very little about her, and that's just a fact. I'm not telling anyone who to vote for, just that CNN coming to her rescue causes me to wonder why. Pure and simple. 🙂
I find the arguments by both Oz and Barnette supporters persuasive. Tough one!
I suspect CNN is trying to hurt Trump. 0z and Barnette are just a means to an end.
