"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love." "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God." Revelation,...

As BLM-Antifa thugs ramp up activities ahead of the midterms, the hypocrisy and mammoth overreach of the Justice Department’s investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, riot is coming into focus. The first acquittal of a Jan. 6 defendant who was “waved” into the Capitol by cops is the latest sign that the so-called “armed insurrection” is not living up to the Democrats’ hype. After the biggest probe in FBI history, not one charge of insurrection has been brought against any Trump supporter at the Capitol. We are reminded with sickening regularity of the double standard of justice applied to BLM–Antifa’s...

MSNBC host Joy Reid said Monday on her show “The ReidOut” described Fox News Host Tucker Carlson’s new series on men as a “hyper-masculinity flex” that is “blatant, fascist posturing.” Reid said, “Fox News host Tucker Carlson sure has tarnished masculinity on his mind. Wonder what that’s about? Remember he once said on his fake log cabin daytime show that COVID feminizes people. Now, a new trailer is out to promote his feature series, “The End of Men.” Or shall we call it an ode to men, a certain kind of man?”

Disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., wrote in a Monday column for the New York Daily News that New York Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin's resignation and indictment "raises troubling questions." Cuomo, who resigned as governor in August 2021 following several sexual misconduct allegations, said that his administration "reformed the insidious pork-barrel member-item process" after several scandals. Benjamin was forced to resign last week over federal charges of bribery and other offenses.

Newly discovered temperature data from the 1970s moon landings, released in the Journal of Geophysical Research in April, reveals that NASA astronauts probably warmed up the moon's surface temperature by as much as 6 degrees Fahrenheit by walking around and poking into the lunar surface. The data comes from so-called heat-flow experiments that were installed on the moon in 1971 and 1972 during the Apollo 15 and Apollo 17 missions. For the experiments, astronauts on each mission drilled two holes into the surface of the moon at depths ranging from 3.2 feet to 7.5 feet deep. The astronauts inserted fiberglass...

The Democrats are facing a multitude of problems heading into the 2022 mid-term elections. Those problems are nothing like what they face in 2024. The Washington Post handicaps the potential Democrat candidates (see this post by my colleague Susie Moore, Even WaPo Isn’t Excited About the Dems’ 2024 Prospects), and the list they come up with looks like a cross between the Star Wars Cantina (Cory Booker? Pete Butttttigieg?) and leftovers from the Soviet Politburo. As Susie notes, “the glummest notes are reserved for the two who should be the ‘most likely to’s’….”No sane person thinks the dementia lollipop in...

A once-in-a-generation inflation shock is rippling worldwide and has become a significant source of social and political instability in the weakest countries. Pakistan is the latest country to experience paralyzing inflation. Bloomberg reports almost a fifth of electricity generation capacity is offline in the South Asian country because some power plants struggle to purchase liquefied natural gas and coal due to record high prices. Pakistan’s energy costs have doubled to $15 billion in the last nine months ended February from a year earlier. The country has struggled with purchasing energy products to fuel its power plants since the conflict in...

Denver Newsroom, Apr 13, 2022 / 16:57 pm (CNA). At a time when Catholicism in Australia faces crises such as a loss of faith and declining religious practice, a plenary council preparatory document shows “serious failures” that suggest a lack of confidence and “evangelical vigor,” one archbishop has said. The document’s doctrinal contradictions and general tone, he said, can encourage Catholics to shrink from their “prophetic task” and become caught in a “spiritual paralysis.” “This is the time for the Church to rise up with new evangelical vigor. This is the time to turn all our attention to announcing a...

Democrat congressional candidate Alexandra Hunt recently admitted she had an abortion at age 18 because she did not want to bring a baby into a world with a “climate emergency” crisis. Hunt, who is running for a U.S. House seat in Pennsylvania, pointed to the environment and other “crises” to justify her decision to abort her unborn baby, Fox News reports. She is challenging incumbent U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans, a Philadelphia-area Democrat, in the primary election. “I as a person was not ready to bring a child into this world, but also the world was not in a state —...

A combination of factors has sent corn futures in Chicago to the highest level in a decade as investors fret over dwindling supplies. Corn futures haven’t exceeded $8 a bushel since September 2012, following a devastating drought that damaged crops across the U.S. Midwest. Now supply risks return but for different reasons. The global outlook for corn supplies has plunged since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began in late February. The war-torn country supplies a fifth of the world’s corn and could experience a 50% decline in output this year.Soaring fertilizer costs have forced some farmers in the U.S. to increase...

Thousands-celebrated-Palm-Sunday-in-the-streets-of-Qaraqosh-last-weekend.-Credit-Twitter-Father-Naim-Shoshandy-CopyAn American website considered that the gradual return of Christians to their homes in the Nineveh Plain in northern Iraq, and the celebration of their holidays, notably Palm Sunday, represents great importance for the followers of a religion that suffered from the control of the terrorist organization ISIS over their areas. A Syriac priest in Baghdida told the American website that reviving these rites is a great gift represented by the renewed ringing of church bells in the Nineveh Plain. The American website Angelos, which specializes in Christian affairs, said in a recent report, “The celebrations of Palm Sunday in...

AFP John Burger - published on 12/23/21 On the 30th anniversary of the dissolution of the USSR, we look back at the dozen years when a formidable superpower gave way to a revolution of conscience. As they did each evening, a small Catholic family in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic sat in their living room, watching the evening news. It was October 16, 1978, and the announcer said that that day at the Vatican, a bishop from Poland had been elected as the new pope of Rome. He took the name Pope John Paul II.The family’s only child at the...

A top cardinal at the Vatican has confirmed Pope Francis’ apprehension about Germany’s “Synodal Path,” telling EWTN in an exclusive interview that critics have raised “legitimate concerns” about the controversial re-assessment of Church teaching on sexual morality and other critical issues. "I very much hope that the German bishops will not simply defend themselves but really enter into a dialogue. Because there are legitimate concerns behind this that have to be taken seriously,” Cardinal Kurt Koch said Thursday. The Swiss cardinal, president of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, spoke to EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief Andreas Thonhauser for the EWTN...
