The producers behind the 94th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night have drawn fire from critics who called it “insensitive” to accompany two black presenters as they took the stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles with Toto’s “Africa.” Toto’s “Africa” played as British actor Daniel Kaluuya and singer H.E.R., both of whom claimed Oscars in 2021, strolled into the spotlights to present best supporting actress. Some argued the 1982 song was a less than stellar choice to introduce two black presenters, the Hollywood Reporter pointed out and others agreed on social media.

A new deep dive into discrepancies in the ballot counts of six key battleground states in the 2020 election has turned up more than 250,000 “excess votes” for President Joe Biden, and maybe far more. The key point in the upcoming peer-reviewed study for the journal Public Choice by economist and noted gun expert John Lott Jr. is that the excess voting may challenge — or explain — Biden’s margin of victory over former President Donald Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. In his report, on the Public Choice website but still awaiting final approval, Lott said...

A federal judge has found that former President Donald Trump "more likely than not" committed felony obstruction in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The judge said Trump's former lawyer John Eastman must turn over documents to the Jan. 6 House committee investigating the attack on the U.S Capitol.

Chris Wallace, the disgraced ex-Fox News Channel host, took a number of cheap shots at his former place of employment during an exclusive interview with The New York Times. “I just no longer felt comfortable with the programming at Fox,” said Wallace, the notorious never-Trumper. Mr. Wallace left Fox News after nearly two decades to take a low-level job hosting a digital program on CNN, the fledgling leftwing news channel. He castigated both the network and Tucker Carlson, the top-rated host in all of cable television. “I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion,” Mr. Wallace said in his first...

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is only just over a week old, but, by every indication, Ukrainian forces have already been able to inflict significant losses on the invaders in terms of personnel and material. Shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, also known as man-portable air defense systems, or MANPADS, have been a key factor in preventing Russian forces from gaining critically important air superiority. Infantry anti-armor weapons, both guided and unguided, have been equally valuable for Ukrainian troops, who are facing a heavily mechanized foe on the ground. The Grom family of missiles, the first versions of which entered service in the 1990s,...

Good news! The President aced it this weekend. The Bad News: It was Donald Trump who reportedly hit a hole-in-one while golfing Saturday in Georgia. Certainly not Joe Biden in Europe. He shanked it four times, with potentially disastrous consequences. Joe Biden’s Dangerous Misstatements in Eastern Europe If you listened to Joe Biden in recent days, Vladimir Putin must be removed from power, U.S. troops are heading into Ukraine, if Putin uses chemical weapons we will do the same. Oh, and by the way, sanctions were never meant to deter Putin from doing anything. The first three statements had to...

Heart abnormalities were detected in some adolescents months after COVID-19 vaccination, according to a study. Researchers at Seattle Children’s Hospital reviewed cases of patients younger than 18 who went to the hospital with chest pain and elevated serum troponin levels, two key markers of heart inflammation, within a week of getting a second dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. While 35 patients fit the criteria, 19 were excluded for various reasons, including receiving care in another state after the initial visit. Cardiac imaging of the remaining 16 patients, performed three to eight months after they were first examined, showed 11 had...

"Save the gays." Under this overwrought "narrative," poor old Zelensky, with actual bombs coming down on him, didn't stand a chance. The Nielsen ratings aren't expected to come out until tomorrow, but that doesn't sound like a formula for retaining or regaining audience viewership which was the supposed aim of the ceremony this year. The Awards viewership was reportedly down to 9.85 million or 10.4 million viewers as of 2021, which represented a 50% drop from the year earlier, and severely lower than the 55.2 million viewership of 1998 when Titanic was winning the Best Picture. By keeping the wokesterism...

An educated man knows the extent of his education; a wise man knows the extent of his ignorance. "It is very difficult to find a black cat in a dark room, especially when there is no cat!" This is a particularly apt description of science and how science works.

This is the second part of the series Why Speak God's Word, in the first part we looked at the word as medicine and the fact that words affect the body. In this part we will look at how God works through his word. Notice, in Matthew 8 it says that a centurion came to Jesus on behalf of his servant that was sick and Jesus said that he would come and heal him, but the centurion responded, "Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Why did he say speak the word only because he knew Jesus...

The smack heard ’round the world will not result in any charges — for now. According to NBC News, comedian Chris Rock declined to press charges against Will Smith after the Oscar-winning actor stormed the stage at the 2022 Academy Awards Sunday (March 27) and smacked Rock across the face with an open hand following a joke about Smith’s wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith. “LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program,” the department said in a statement, NBC reported. “The incident involved one individual slapping another. An extensive new analysis published in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports has produced new and impressive evidence supporting the idea that the shipwreck found in 1863 was the Sparrow-Hawk, something shipwreck historians have long believed but were never able to prove. Through the application of techniques that can accurately date wood and trace it to its place of origin, the scientists involved in this study have linked the pieces of timber found on a Cape Cod beach in 1863 to the shipbuilding industry of late 16th and early 17th century England. The 40-foot small pinnace ship that was scuttled...

On Friday, The Daily Mail reported that emails recovered from Hunter Biden’s laptop show he helped an infectious disease research company pursue projects in Ukraine. Those emails confirm portions of charges Russia made the previous day that an investment group run by the now-president’s son had funded a company conducting research at biological laboratories in Ukraine. While these developments add another scandal to the long list of Biden family dirty laundry, the more urgent concern for the country should be the continuing threat to our national security posed by a compromised President Biden and the possibility that Russia has access to...
