Go deeper: The decision follows some controversy over the last couple of years, during Google battled Epic Games over Fortnite, while the Play Store approach drew an antitrust lawsuit from state attorneys general. It also puts pressure on fellow tech giant Apple (AAPL), which has similarly fought against Epic and is firmly against third-party billing in its App Store. (8 comments

The prophets of the new world order sowed the wind and they will soon reap the whirlwind of an angry public worn out by elite incompetence, arrogance, and ignorance. Joe Biden believes the Ukraine war will mark the start of a “new world order.” In the middle of the COVID global pandemic, Klaus Schwab and global elites likewise announced a “Great Reset.” Accordingly, the nations of the world would have to surrender their sovereignty to an international body of experts. They would enlighten us on taxes, diversity, and green policies. When Donald Trump got elected in 2016, marquee journalists announced...

During the Wednesday broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) rejected Biden Supreme Court nominee Katanji Brown Jackson’s inability to define a woman. “[M]y main objection has been to her sort of inability to answer even the simplest questions,” he said. “You know, Senator [Marsha] Blackburn asked her a question and said, ‘Can you define a woman?’ Well, if you’re not even willing to answer that question and many of the questions she has been unwilling to answer — if you can’t answer the question, ‘What is a woman?’ or the definition of a woman, how...

Let’s not go charging into the valley of death with our junto of fatuous fanatics in command. merica is drifting toward war, wafted by a chorus of political and punditical sirens. A great many of them are conservatives, including popular media personalities with large audiences. They’ve been warned by other conservatives about the risks of confrontation with Russia that deeper intervention in Ukraine poses. But since few want to abandon the Ukrainians altogether, the conservative camp faces a quandary. How much risk is too much risk? Is riskiness more a matter of the quantity or the quality of support we...

A NATO official on Wednesday estimated that 7,000 to 15,000 Russian troops have died over the past month as Ukrainians have mounted a fierce resistance against the invading Russian forces. The senior NATO military official anonymously told The Associated Press that the alliance has estimated Russian losses by using information from open-source intelligence, the Ukrainian government, and intentional and unintentional information released by Russia. Between 30,000 to 40,000 Russian troops are estimated to have been killed or wounded, the NATO official told the AP. By comparison, the Soviet Union lost fewer than 15,000 troops during its ten-year invasion of Afghanistan....

Headaches on headaches. Overnight, the US Treasury yield rose to 2.38% as the number of forecast Fed rate hikes rose to 8.211. So, enjoy “low” rates while you can. If we back out the highest inflation rate in 40 years, the REAL 10Y Treasury yield is -5.50%. And the REAL 30Y mortgage rate is -3.57%. Of course, the meteoric rise in inflation is due largely to Biden’s attack on the fossil fuel industry (until Russia’s invasion of Ukraine distracted from Biden’s inflation fiasco). Remember, Russia didn’t invade Ukraine until February 2022. But rather than relax Biden’s anti-fossil fuel executive orders,...

Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who was acquitted in November of homicide charges following a self-defense shooting, slammed the media Wednesday for lying about him and trying to put him in prison. Rittenhouse fatally shot two men in self-defense during an August 2020 riot in Kenosha, Wisc. The media claimed he was a white supremacist and a murderer, despite the lack of evidence. "I'm angry that the media thinks they can get away with lying," Rittenhouse told "Just the News, Not Noise" cohosts John Solomon and Amanda Head. "[L]ike Malcolm X said: 'The media is the most powerful entity on the...

Democrats have no idea how the real world works because they typically have no experience outside of government. Rampant inflation got you down? Don't worry: Democrats are here to help! Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.), Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.), and Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-Ill.) have proposed a bill that would give every American $100 each month to help offset the scourge of rapidly rising inflation. CBS News noted of the proposal, which is being called the Gas Rebate Act: "The gas stimulus would 'provide middle-class Americans with monthly payments to ease the financial burden of this global crisis,' Thompson said in...

Lawmakers and advocates commemorated the more than 15,000 nursing home deaths in New York amid the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday, as they pitched a measure to get to the bottom of the missteps made under disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo that caused the fatalities in elder-care facilities. During a press conference in Albany, an ideologically diverse coalition rallied behind a bill to designate March 25 as “We Care Remembrance Day,” and another to create a body tasked with studying the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic response on deaths in nursing homes. Friday marks exactly two years since the state Department of...

WASHINGTON, Sunday, March 23. Telegraphic despatches received here from Winchester, dated last night at half past ten, say: A slight skirmish occurred this afternoon about a mile from Winchester, on the Strasbourg road, between a portion of Gen. SHIELDS suffered a slight injury in the left arm above the elbow, from a fragment of a shell, which burst near him. A prisoner brought in to-night, says the enemy...

Few Americans can possibly be unaware of the radical left’s campaign to destroy the traditional values that shaped this country for at least 150 years. These activists loathe this nation as founded and have long sought to erode every cultural standard of morality and decency that made this country the beacon of liberty on the planet. They began attacking all things even vaguely religious decades ago and have successfully eroded church membership to the lowest point in our history. Judeo-Christian values were an impediment to their agenda. Black Lives Matter, for example, has made no secret of their goal to...

Scientists have found and filmed one of the greatest ever undiscovered shipwrecks 107 years after it sank. The Endurance, the lost vessel of Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, was found at the weekend at the bottom of the Weddell Sea. The ship was crushed by sea-ice and sank in 1915, forcing Shackleton and his men to make an astonishing escape on foot and in small boats. Video of the remains show Endurance to be in remarkable condition. Even though it has been sitting in 3km (10,000ft) of water for over a century, it looks just like it did on the...

Things never go well when the state embraces scientific theories and then uses its might to force those theories upon the nation. “Follow the Science” seems to have replaced “Go with God” as humanity’s go-to prayer. At least, the left would have us think so. But science is a much more complicated construction than leftists want you to realize, and there was a not very distant time and place where “Follow the Science” led to the needless death of millions. Trofim Lysenko was a Soviet scientist who rose to prominence (and eternal infamy) in the 1930s. Lysenko was, you might...

North Korea has fired what is believed to be its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in more than four years as Western leaders gather in Brussels for a security summit. The suspected ICBM flew to an altitude of 6,000 kilometers (3,728 miles) and to a distance of 1,080 kilometers (671 miles) with a flight time of 71 minutes before splashing down in waters off Japan's western coast on Thursday, according to Japan's Defense Ministry. The altitude would suggest it is a "new type of ICBM," Japan's Vice Defense Minister Makoto Oniki told reporters Thursday. The missile landed inside Japan's Exclusive...

On February 24 Ukraine’s electric grid operator disconnected the country’s power system from the larger Russian-operated network to which it had always been linked. The long-planned disconnection was meant to be a 72-hour trial proving that Ukraine could operate on its own. The test was a requirement for eventually linking with the European grid, which Ukraine had been working toward since 2017. But four hours after the exercise started, Russia invaded. Ukraine’s connection to Europe—which was not supposed to occur until 2023—became urgent, and engineers aimed to safely achieve it in just a matter of weeks. On March 16 they...
