Rand Paul: If KBJ Can’t Define ‘Woman,’ How Can She Adjudicate Title IX, Women’s Athletics Cases?
Breitbart ^ | March 23 | JEFF POOR

Posted on 03/24/2022 5:12:25 AM PDT by RandFan

During the Wednesday broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) rejected Biden Supreme Court nominee Katanji Brown Jackson’s inability to define a woman.

“[M]y main objection has been to her sort of inability to answer even the simplest questions,” he said. “You know, Senator [Marsha] Blackburn asked her a question and said, ‘Can you define a woman?’ Well, if you’re not even willing to answer that question and many of the questions she has been unwilling to answer — if you can’t answer the question, ‘What is a woman?’ or the definition of a woman, how is she going to adjudicate Title IX cases that have to do with women or women in sports? How is she going to adjudicate whether a boy who swims for [the University of Pennsylvania] can all of a sudden switch and pretend to be a girl and swim on the girls’ team?”

“She’s not going to be able to adjudicate any of these things, or perhaps she is telegraphing us that she is going to be able to adjudicate them in such that you can be whatever you feel like you want to be that day, which will lead to a ruination of women’s sports and lead to really chaos in women’s sports and women’s athletics,” Paul continued. “I mean, what kind of bizarre world are we living in now that the woman of the year is really a man that has had some kind of surgery to remove their secondary sexual characteristics. That’s the woman of the year we’re supposed to be celebrating? What about real women? We’re not going to celebrate real women who are doing amazing in our country in every occupation you can imagine?”

She was chosen as a black woman.

How can it be that she can also not define woman?

The illogical world of the left. That’s how.

Next we will give out fake medical licenses to anyone that wants to identify as a surgeon or a drug dealer can claim to be a pharmacist.

Simple...... the use of the term woman in a law is not valid since there is no definition of such a person. There is no mention of Woman in the constitution

This is an easy question to answer. Since she doesn’t know what a woman is, she’ll hear both sides of a case (without a biologist) and pick a definition she thinks fits - which will be the anti-American one.

Unfortunately, Blackburn wanted to get through her prepared questions instead of taking a great opportunity to engage the nominee on the opening she presented. Ask her if she ever filled out a college application, what box did she check? etc etc ... Then tell her she was disingenuous in saying she did not know. How can one trust a person to be on the SCt when they won’t be straight with you, even on simple questions. Katanji might be a “nice neighbor” to have living next door but she lacks the judicial temperament, character and candor that all SCt justies should have.

True that. The text of the 19th amendment's "... shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex" could be interpreted as your vote can't be taken away from you even if you haven't gotten any in a while. LOL

Whatever the question is, it doesn’t matter.

She’s going to be confirmed.

This thing known as the United States, you know, the thing, is going to have 40 years of this Katanji thing.

She will reign supremely among the dunce caste of DC. Her opinions will largely be written for her by lefty clerks.

We’re screwed. Need a war to clean out the rot of DC.

That’s a really good point. It reinforces my view that women’s sports are egregious examples of segregation and have no place in any kind of public accommodation.

Someone needs to ask her “What is the definition of a woman as it pertains to Title IX athletic cases?”

Noticed the same... When Jackson said she couldn't define what a woman is because she's not a biologist, the senator should've followed up with, "So, are you saying that biology alone determines whether someone is a man or woman?"

(Did anyone make that point? I've only watched short clips, and I didn't hear it.)

If Jackson answered "yes" to biology alone, the Dems' heads would've exploded. But, if she answered "no" or "I don't know," then the senator could've followed up with, "Then what other criteria should be used to determine whether someone is a man or woman?"

She-—or anyone—could have easily answered the question, but she did not want to anger wokesters. Such mentality on our highest court must not be allowed.

Unless you want a rubber stamp for George Gascon and Alvin Bragg type of justice. Then she’s perfect.

Have you been watching the hearings? Forget about the politics. Her sense of values and moral compass are broken.

If the shoe was on the other foot the comparisons to Ghislaine Maxwell would be endless. The screaming wouldn’t stop.

What do Republican voters get? A sanitized opposition for show. The GOP as a party sucks so hard. The people we elect have no fight.

Let’s face it, no matter the issue, her decisions will be based on racial justice, as most black people in power, they are unable to see beyond their own color. . Biden demanded a black female SC nominee, in part because democrats are losing the black male voter and black women will die for her.
