Redditors have shared their top things you should absolutely, never ever search on Google, and it's proved a mighty list. From gut-churning injuries to upsetting fungal diseases, they've amalgamated a number of key words to simply stray away from, if you're not wanting an image that might never leave your mind. Below are their most shocking of Google searches, with descriptions-only of course. 1. Krokodil We're starting with a particularly shocking one, of course. This one is as flesh-eating as the animal it's named after.Krokodil is another name for the drug Desomorphine, a strand of morphine with powerful opioid effects....

Economist John Williams says the economy is in deep trouble, and the Fed knows it.Williams says the Fed talking up “robust economic growth” that is causing inflation is “nonsense.” Williams explains, “The one thing that is not causing inflation is ‘robust economic growth.’ So, when they talk about raising interest rates to kill this robust economic growth that’s triggering the inflation, that’s absurd, and the Fed knows it… If the Fed foolishly raised rates as reflected in the payrolls as not being fully recovered, you are going to have a sharp downturn, a double dip depression here. At the same...

Explanation: What's the most dangerous star near earth? Many believe it's Eta Carinae, a binary star system about 100 times the mass of the Sun, just 10,000 light years from earth. Eta Carinae is a ticking time bomb, set to explode as a supernova in only a few million years, when it may bathe the earth in dangerous gamma rays. The star suffered a notorious outburst in the 1840s when it became the brightest star in the southern sky, only to fade to obscurity within decades. The star was not destroyed, but lies hidden behind a thick, expanding, double-lobed structure...

Heath Racela identifies as three-quarters white and one-quarter Filipino. When texting, he chooses a yellow emoji instead of a skin tone option, because he feels it doesn't represent any specific ethnicity or color. He doesn't want people to view his texts in a particular way. He wants to go with what he sees as the neutral option and focus on the message. "I present as very pale, very light skinned. And if I use the white emoji, I feel like I'm betraying the part of myself that's Filipino," Racela, of Littleton, Mass., said. "But if I use a darker color...

Disturbing footage showing a Chinese mother of eight chained by the neck to an outdoor shed has sent shockwaves through the country — and sparked backlash about its treatment of rural women. The video, which was posted by a blogger on the Chinese version of TikTok called Douyin in late January, showed the woman wearing a metal collar outside of a filthy home in China’s rural Jiangsu province, according to the blog Whats On Weibo. The mother, who is named Xiao Huamei, was seen wearing only wearing a sweater despite being filmed in the middle of winter in chilly Fengxian...

Without setting foot inside an office building, Chaylene Martinez unwittingly put her foot in her mouth by criticizing her would-be employer during a one-take, pre-recorded video interview. “The question is … the stupidest, cheesiest question I’ve ever read in my life,” Martinez says in now-viral footage of her disastrous digital application to SkyWest Airlines. In the clip, which has amassed over 6.9 million views, the troubled TikToker is seen complaining about SkyWest’s interview questions to an unnamed male friend on the phone. However, she accidentally begins recording herself on the company’s video application platform while she’s bad-mouthing the brand. “’What...

he Biden Admin has announced plans for 500 million new masks which will be shipped out for free to U.S. residents. These masks will have a brand-new design feature: a small mouth hole so that people can easily smoke their government-issued crack pipes. "We are proud of our equity initiative to send out safe crack-smoking kits to people who desperately need them," said Press Secretary Psaki. "Unfortunately, wearing masks can make smoking crack more difficult, which disproportionately affects mask-wearing crack-smokers of color. These new masks are meant to address that problem." The new masks will feature a small mouth hole...

SWhen asked if it is possible for the U.S. to engage in free trade with a communist country such as China, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) did not answer directly but said the U.S. must stand up against China’s espionage, its military, and its holding hostage of America’s supply chains. At the Capitol on Tuesday, CNS News asked Sen. Cruz, “The U.S. trade deficit with China in 2021 was more than $300 billion for the tenth year in a row. Can the U.S. have free trade with a Communist country?” The senator said, “We need a far more serious approach to...

On medicare, 66 years young. Cologuard and colonoscopy. Seem insurance is pushing the 'pre-test' cologuard. If one tests positive then one is supposed to get the invasive colonoscopy procedure. I read that some insurance can rate or code a colonoscopy as a preventive procedure others as a diagnostic procedure. The costs can differ. A positive on the cologuard creates the diagnostic code, where no cologuard prior is rated a preventative code. Any freeper with feedback and first hand experience with these matters ?

My Dad has bone marrow cancer, and though it has sort of gone away, we all know it's coming back, and he has to remain on his chemo meds. He played MLB back when there were 16 teams. He hit cleanup behind Willie Mays for a bit w/ the SF Giants, and wound up trade-bait and finally quit - making $5,600/year being a LH pinch hitter w/ no place to play. He also coached Little League (in Williamsport of all places), and touched a lot of lives through the years - which I didn't really realize until later in life....

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A toxicologist testified Wednesday at the federal trial of three former officers charged with violating George Floyd’s civil rights that it wasn’t drug use, heart disease nor an agitated state known as “excited delirium” that caused Floyd’s death after officers pinned him to the pavement in May 2020. Dr. Vik Bebarta, an emergency physician and toxicologist and professor at the University of Colorado in suburban Denver, bolstered the prosecution’s contention that Floyd died because of how Officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee down on the Black man’s neck. Bebarta said he concluded that Floyd “died...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Following outrage on the political right, the Biden administration said Wednesday that a grant program to help prevent additional harm to people who use illicit drugs will not pay for safer pipes to smoke crack or meth. “No federal funding will be used directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to put pipes in safe smoking kits,” Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and White House drug policy adviser Rahul Gupta said in a statement. A far-right podcaster working for The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro‘s right-wing outlet, has been attempting to dupe dozens of trans people and doctors into participating in an anti-trans documentary under false pretenses, a prominent trans activist revealed this week. Matt Walsh, who has an extensive history of overtly bigoted rhetoric predating his work for Shapiro’s burgeoning media empire, has become a leading anti-trans voice in the conservative movement of late. The one-time shock jock’s cartoonishly hateful remarks about the LGBTQ community have only increased his public profile and garnered him right-wing media stardom, including frequent appearances on Fox News.
