On December 10, 2021, after a grueling eight-day trial in Toronto, Judge Robert Goldstein ruled pro-family activist Bill Whatcott was not guilty of “willful promotion of hatred.” That absurd charge centered around a flyer that Bill and others passed out five years earlier at the 2016 Toronto Gay Pride Parade. It contained religious messages and warnings about the health dangers of homosexual sex. But the state insisted that it was “hateful.” ... Two weeks after the judge’s ruling, Mr. Rosen received notice that Ottawa’s Attorney General had filed for an appeal of the acquittal, and was served with the official...

Lifting weights for as little as three seconds a day can have a positive impact on muscle strength. A collaboration had 39 healthy university students perform one muscle contraction at maximum effort for three seconds per day, for five days a week over four weeks. The participants performed either an isometric, concentric or eccentric bicep curl (see definitions below) at maximum effort, while researchers measured the muscles' maximum voluntary contraction strength before and after the four-week period. Muscle strength increased more than 10 percent for the group who performed the eccentric bicep curl after the four weeks, but less increase...

Things are clearly getting out of hand in Ottawa:Trucks, trucks, everywhere! The peaceful protests against government overreach is growing and spreading to other Canadian cities as well, that can’t be good. Eventually freedom loving Canadians will realize that there’s more of them than there are of their autocrat oppressors - that’s when things get really interesting. In order to avoid that eventuality the mayor of Ottawa declared a state of emergency over the trucker protest yesterday, hoping to force their dispersal. Strange, the mayor of Ottawa had no problem when BLM came to protest. But people who come with bouncy houses to...

Georgia gubernatorial candidate former Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) is slamming both Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Gov. Brian Kemp in a new “Unmask Our Kids” digital ad campaign in the Peach State, Breitbart News has learned exclusively. Perdue’s campaign on Monday morning will release a 15-second digital ad featuring the photograph of Abrams not wearing a mask while every child in a classroom she spoke to was forced to wear one. In the ad, provided to Breitbart News exclusively ahead of its public release, text appears on screen first slamming Abrams: “This is the Georgia Stacey Abrams wants.” Then, Perdue...

Video at https://twitter.com/DrJalawson/status/1489700948972769280A Maryland police officer is being hailed as a hero after saving a child from being hit by a car and taking the brunt of the impact herself. The dramatic scene was caught on surveillance video. The footage shows Cpl. Annette L. Goodyear of North East, on crossing guard duty on Friday, holding up a hand to stop traffic. As a middle school student walked through the crosswalk, a car blew into the intersection. Goodyear pushed the child out of the way only to be hit by the car herself. Although the footage shows her falling hard to...

As if landing a college teaching position wasn’t already difficult enough, the powers-that-be have placed another obstacle in job-seekers’ path: the so-called “Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” better known as the “diversity statement” or “DEI statement.” Many (most?) institutions now require such a document as part of the application packet along with the traditional CV, cover letter, and transcripts. As a long-time advice columnist for The Chronicle of Higher Education, I frequently hear from academics on the job market. Lately, I’ve been getting emails asking how to write a diversity statement. I fear I’m not much help in that...

Many people on the left want to teach critical race theory in schools. Many people on the right want to ban the teaching of the subject in schools. I propose that we teach critical race theory in schools, with the three following guidelines: First, it should be age appropriate. High school, yes. Kindergarten, no. Second, it should be taught under the proper context. Social studies class, yes. Math class, no. And third, we should give equal time to teach the opposing point of view from black conservatives such as Winsome Sears, Candace Owens, Thomas Sowell, Brandom Tatum, Star Parker, Walter...

As I was checking out of the grocery store on Friday morning and thanking a Palestinian Arab worker for helping to bag my groceries so efficiently and quickly, then wishing him and the Palestinian Arab cashier a Shabbat Shalom, I was pulled the side by the store manager and reprimanded. “Don’t you know, sir, that we are an apartheid state, and we are neither to show any interest in or empathy for the Palestinian Arabs workers, and certainly not treat them with kindness or respect because everything in our interaction with them needs to be about discrimination and subjugation, not...

Spend enough time scrolling through Twitter, and you’ll eventually come across it. A simple, three-word exhortation — Let’s go, Brandon! — that’s spread like wildfire across social media. This phrase quickly became a combination anti-Joe Biden “Let’s go, Brandon” meme as well as a conservative rallying cry of sorts. It’s also driven Biden supporters completely crazy. Here’s the scoop. You’ll generally find the phrase shared in posts written by critics of President Biden, but it’s also gone on to become a hashtag, a meme, it’s included in account names and handles — and it even now adorns merchandise. A Let’s...

Conservatives have sat in paralysis for a good part of the past 25 years now not knowing how to address the left’s radical transformation of society that is canceling conservatives and forcing the left’s rules on everyone. Amazon bans our books and only a few people who are ridiculed compare it to George Orwell’s 1984. It’s because we think the takeover is being done by private corporations and actors in a free society, so we don’t know how to react. Most of us aren’t ready to call it communism or socialism; it doesn’t seem to violate the Constitution. The reality...

So, this was the weekend of “surge and contain.” Like many things we’ve heard from Ottawa police Chief Peter Sloly, it wasn’t entirely clear Friday what he was talking about. It’s certainly true there were more police officers in the “red zone” around Parliament Hill than last weekend. There were seven or eight Sudbury police officers, for instance, walking around in a pack on the sidewalk — “patrolling” it is probably called, or “surging,” as it were, “containing” who knows what. But there were barbecues on the go on Wellington Street and wood-burning fires in metal containers and Christian tents...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemEphesians 6The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your...

Abstract Relevance: Ivermectin, as an old anti-parasite drug, can suppress almost completely the growth of various human cancers, including ovarian cancer (OC). However, its anticancer mechanism remained to be further studied at the molecular levels. Ivermectin-related molecule-panel changes will serve a useful tool for its personalized drug therapy and prognostic assessment in OCs. Purpose: To explore the functional significance of ivermectin-mediated lncRNA-EIF4A3-mRNA axes in OCs and ivermectin-related molecule-panel for its personalized drug therapy monitoring. Methods: Based on our previous study, a total of 16 lncRNA expression patterns were analyzed using qRT-PCR before and after ivermectin-treated different OC cell lines (TOV-21G...

The Bible In Paintings 2 Engravings•Facades•Frescoes•Illuminations•Miniatures•Mosaics•Photographs•Reliefs•Sculptures•Tapestries•WindowsG E N E S I SCHAPTER 25:27-34 Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents. Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to...
