So, this was the weekend of “surge and contain.”
Like many things we’ve heard from Ottawa police Chief Peter Sloly, it wasn’t entirely clear Friday what he was talking about.
It’s certainly true there were more police officers in the “red zone” around Parliament Hill than last weekend. There were seven or eight Sudbury police officers, for instance, walking around in a pack on the sidewalk — “patrolling” it is probably called, or “surging,” as it were, “containing” who knows what.
But there were barbecues on the go on Wellington Street and wood-burning fires in metal containers and Christian tents set up and fuel containers moving here and there and a religious revival going on in word and song — all on the public roadway — and a ridiculous amount of noise.

What the liberal author is ignorinig is that these are not idle college students protesting but rather truck drivers who are a needed component of society.
“It’s all about us.”
They think bread and milk just magically appear at the grocery store.
Other than keeping their livelihood, I wonder how much the police really want to bother these truckers and their supporters. There have to be a number of police and their family members who don’t want to comply with vaccine mandates to keep their jobs or otherwise go about their lives without interference. A successful protest by the truckers will benefit the police and their families who don’t want to be made to take the shots either.
I would not be surprised to find out that the truckers planned to work this protest in shifts, a week or two on and a week or two off, being replaced with fresh reinforcements.
That’s what I would do.
That could be kept up indefinitely and yet allow a reprieve so no one becomes too battle weary and they can still go and earn some livelihood in between protest stints.
The truckers are also not blocking all the travel lanes like BLM and Antifa routinely do. Regular traffic, ambulances, fire trucks, etc. can get through.
Yep. Classic disconnect from reality, with a skewed sense of self-importance. They truly don’t understand how things work. Got into a discussion w/ a college professor about socialism a couple of years ago. She used Norway (!) as an example of how socialism “worked”. I asked her where they got all the money to support it; what made the whole thing possible. Her answer, I swear, was “Whaling!” After I stopped laughing out loud, I clued her in. Good Lord. And again, a college professor.
When BLM was protesting on the same turf in Ottawa (June, 2020), Justin Trudeau hustled in and “took a knee.” I’m sure he’s planning to kneel in front of these truckers once he recovers from COVID.
And just where did these so-called “reinforcements” come from? Brandon? UN? Are they even Canadians?

As far as spine....real spine would be those pols meeting with the truckers instead of hiding (looking at you Trudeau) and sending goons.
Real spine will be if a general strike emerges. The truckers provide an essential service. Media mouthpieces, not so much.

Two weaknesses are exposed here that need to be exploited to order win. First, separate commie handlers from their people. Without instructions, they lose all effectiveness. Second, invoke fear in the government mandate supporters. That fear has to be greater than their fear of COVID.
The two most base human emotions dictate a majority of human behavior - Fear and Greed. The people supporting those in power do not operate out of greed. They have no greed for freedom and liberty. They operate out of fear. Now that we know what makes them tick, use it against them. I believe the fear of starvation when grocery store shelves are bare will make them forget all about their fear of COVID. These people deserve no less than to go about their lives in fear. They are weak and lack all rational thoughts. They need to be controlled. It is ugly to say, if you don't control them, they will control you.
If these were “homeless” people, they’d be rolling out the red carpet for them.
They are going to stand their ground.

It was the Christian tents that triggered the leftists. Not a bouncy house.
I am certain those Christian tents and people giving hugs and smiling was totally scary to the leftst masked poopyheads.
