Lead in: The Committee plotted with JPMorgan and its lawyer, former Obama AG Loretta Lynch, to obtain a citizen's financial records with no possibility of judicial review. .....In its ongoing attempt to investigate and gather information about private U.S. citizens, the Congressional 1/6 Committee is claiming virtually absolute powers that not even the FBI or other law enforcement agencies enjoy. Indeed, lawyers for the committee have been explicitly arguing that nothing proscribes or limits their authority to obtain data regarding whichever citizens they target and, even more radically, that the checks imposed on the FBI (such as the requirement to...

Whoopi Goldberg's ignorance and mind-numbing stupidity were on display Monday. It's par for the course when watching "The View." But Whoopi took it to a new level claiming the holocaust wasn't about race. Even Joy Behar sat there saying, "eesh, that's messed up." Whoopi was quick to apologize to those who were offended. “If the Klan is coming down the street, and I’m standing with a Jewish friend, and neither one-- well, I’m going to run --but if my friend decides not to run, they’ll get passed by most times because you can’t tell who’s Jewish. It’s not something that...

WASHINGTON (AP) – Pfizer on Tuesday asked the U.S. to authorize extra-low doses of its COVID-19 vaccine for children under 5, potentially opening the way for the very youngest Americans to start receiving shots as early as March. IN AN EXTRODINARY MOVE, the FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION HAD URGED PFIZER AND ITS PARTNER BIONTECH TO APPLY EARLIER THAN THE COMPANIES HAD PLANNED. The nation’s 19 million children under 5 are the only group not yet eligible for vaccination against the coronavirus. Many parents have been pushing for an expansion of shots to toddlers and preschoolers, especially as the omicron wave...

(WOAI/KABB) — A lawsuit was filed on Wednesday after a 22-year-old college student after being horribly attacked by several dogs last month. According to Brooker Law of Dallas, Jaqueline Durand was mauled by two dogs and left "permanently and catastrophically disfigured." The lawsuit says that Durand, a University of Texas at Dallas student, was hired by Dr. Justin Bishop and his wife Ashley to care for the couple's dogs while they were out of town. On Dec. 23, Durand went to the couple's home. She had just opened the front door to walk Lucy, a German shepherd mix breed, and...

America's national debt just hit another sobering milestone. Total public debt outstanding is now above $30 trillion, according to Treasury Department data published Tuesday. Government borrowing accelerated during the Covid-19 pandemic as Washington spent aggressively to cushion the economic blow from the crisis. The national debt has surged by about $7 trillion since the end of 2019. It's impossible to know how much debt is too much, and economists remain divided over how big of a problem this really is. But the latest debt milestone comes at a delicate time as borrowing costs are expected to rise. After many years...

“He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed Him” (Matthew 4:19–20). Peter and Andrew obeyed Jesus’ call right away—“Immediately they left their nets and followed Him”—an indication of how determined they were to go with the Lord. The word “followed” carries the meaning of being committed to imitating the one he or she follows. Past surveys have shown that 95 percent of all professing Christians have never led someone to faith in Jesus Christ. Too often they are like the reclusive, frugal man many years ago who...
