It’s easy to put a person in a box, to write someone off as an anti-vaxxer. But it isn’t always that simple. Take Marty Makary, a professor of surgery and health policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has made a name for himself during the pandemic, partly through his appearances on Fox News shows like Tucker Carlson’s. But while he’s certainly a contrarian pandemic pundit, he isn’t a fringe voice, nor a political one. He writes op-eds for places like The Washington Post and The New York Times. He told Nightly, unprompted, that he wasn’t a...

A deputy district attorney and up-and-coming Republican political star in California’s Orange County has died abruptly after telling friends she contracted COVID-19. Kelly Ernby, a presumed candidate for the state Assembly in 2022, was only 46 years old. According to the Los Angeles Times, she fell ill shortly after speaking out against vaccine mandates at a rally organized by Turning Point USA on Dec. 4.

During his viral podcast with Joe Rogan after he was banned by Twitter, Malone explained how the global population was being manipulated into remaining in a constant state of hysterical anxiety via mass formation psychosis. “What the heck happened to Germany in the 20s and 30s? Very intelligent, highly educated population, and they went barking mad. And how did that happen?” asked Malone. “The answer is mass formation psychosis.” “When you have a society that has become decoupled from each other and has free-floating anxiety in a sense that things don’t make sense, we can’t understand it, and then their...

Gasoline prices have remained unattractively high across much of the United States in the latter half of 2021, and a new study reveals that one U.S. state may see gasoline prices near $6. According to a new study published by GasBuddy this week, gasoline prices could reach $6 per gallon in San Fransisco, with Los Angelos and Sacramento reaching $5.50 per gallon. For some cities in California, this would be the highest nominal average ever paid. For 2022, GasBuddy is predicting a rise of nearly 40 cents per gallon, to $3.41 per gallon—with $4 per gallon a real possibility by...

The media is already being flooded with stories this week about the solemnity of the January 6 anniversary. And yet we also have Politico reveling that the Democrats are attempting to use the occasion to engage in flat out partisanship by federalizing the elections at the state level so as to favor that party. In fact, Rachael Bade and Ryan Lizza are not at all shy about joyfully hyping in the Monday Politico Playbook that "Dems to use Jan. 6 anniversary to supercharge voting rights push."

OKLAHOMA—Texas has announced the unilateral annexation of Oklahoma. The entire state will be leveled and turned into one giant Buc-ee's convenience story, according to sources within the Texas state government. The move was made as part of an attempt to find a use for the state to the north of Texas, as it seemed to just be acres and acres of nothing worthwhile. "There, that's a far better use of these 7,000 useless square miles," said Texas Governor Greg Abbott as bulldozers began demolishing the trailer parks, exotic cat zoos, and lame gas stations with fewer than 48 pumps that...

It’s tempting to call “democracy” meaningless in today’s parlance. Except it has a meaning: the opposite of what its dictionary entry says. “Democracy” now means not the rule or sovereignty of the people but the fiat of elites and “experts.” When the people can be persuaded, duped, or bullied into ratifying expert insistence, so much the better. That extra pretense of legitimacy helps quiet and discredit dissent. When they can’t, no matter. The “right thing” will be done, come what may, and that too is “democratic” under the new meaning. The cloyingly disingenuous phrase “our democracy” really means “their oligarchy.”...

Israel has recorded what is widely believed to be the first case of “flurona” disease, a double infection of coronavirus and seasonal flu in an unvaccinated pregnant woman, according to local reports. The unnamed woman displayed mild symptoms at Rabin Medical Center in the city of Petah Tikva on Dec. 30, Hamodia reported. She is doing well and was expected to be discharged from the hospital later on Thursday, according to officials. “She was diagnosed with the flu and coronavirus as soon as she arrived. Both tests came back positive, even after we checked again,” said professor Arnon Vizhnitser, an...

HOUSTON, TEXAS– US Representative Dan Crenshaw recently announced on Twitter that he tested positive for RINO, but is asymptomatic because he hides his Democrat leanings while out in public. Crenshaw said he took an at-home RINO test and that’s when he discovered he had the deadly virus known as RINO, which is an acronym for Republican In Name Only. “I decided to take a RINO test after I began having a deeper connection to the Democrat Party,” said Crenshaw the day after calling Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene an idiot Democrat in disguise. “I knew something was wrong with me when...

Joel Pollak at Breitbart reported Sunday that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts blasted attempts to exert “inappropriate political influence” in his year-end report for 2021, as President Biden and the Democrats have pondered proposals to expand or pack the Court with liberals. “The Judiciary’s power to manage its internal affairs insulates courts from inappropriate political influence and is crucial to preserving public trust in its work as a separate and co- equal branch of government,” Roberts said in the 2021 report. Roberts did not explicitly mention the court-packing talk, and the liberal media ignored it. That's funny -- aren't...

Nearly a year into the largest vaccine rollout in history, the U.S.'s efforts have yielded among the lowest inoculation rates of any industrialized democracy on the globe. Our media and politicians all too often blame the unvaccinated for their hesitancy, casting them as unreachable Trump voting conspiracy theorists who will refuse to accept the facts. It's a view popularized by many who—not coincidentally—advocate for "mandate or bust" approaches. But is this perspective really born out by the data? Our data suggests that the unvaccinated—even in red states—can be reached. Our Rutgers-affiliated NGO, the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), set out...

"Our nation asks the men and women in our military to serve, suffer, and sacrifice. But we do not ask them to lay aside their citizenry and give up the very rights they have sworn to protect…." Read the order. Disgusting what the Navy was doing.

It is the first time researchers have directly observed how border fences hinder the Mexican gray wolf, which is on the verge of extinction One chilly early morning in November, a wolf roamed southwest of Las Cruces, New Mexico, on the southern border of the U.S. He was probably driven by the call for survival and wanted to mate, researchers say. In his search for a mate or for better opportunities, the wolf tried to cross the dangerous Chihuahuan Desert, a region he knows very well because it has been his species' habitat since time immemorial. This time, however, he...

A person in the Accord who was armed with a shotgun then took the Lyft driver’s car, according to police. As his car was being taken, the Lyft driver with a concealed carry license used his own...

A physics problem that has plagued science since the days of Isaac Newton is closer to being solved, say a pair of Israeli researchers. The duo used "the drunkard's walk" to calculate the outcome of a cosmic dance between three massive objects, or the so-called three-body problem. For physicists, predicting the motion of two massive objects, like a pair of stars, is a piece of cake. But when a third object enters the picture, the problem becomes unsolvable. That's because when two massive objects get close to each other, their gravitational attraction influences the paths they take in a way...

A bill making its way through the South Carolina legislature may have a tremendous impact on the state’s public higher education system. And if successful, it may prove as a model for other states looking to get a handle on their hard-to-control higher education systems. House Bill 4522—the “Cancelling Professor Tenure Act”—will end tenure for newly hired professors at South Carolina’s ten public institutions of higher education, including such well-known schools as the University of South Carolina, Clemson, and The Citadel. Faculty who have already been granted tenure or who have already been hired with the expectation of receiving tenure...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden hailed a deal between wireless carriers and U.S. regulators that will allow the deployment of new 5G wireless in two weeks and averted an aviation safety crisis. AT&T and Verizon Communications agreed late Monday to delay C-Band wireless spectrum deployment until Jan. 19 but won key assurances that they will be able to start service this month, according to a Transportation Department letter seen by Reuters. The delay came after pressure from the White House, aviation unions and a threat by airlines to file suit to block the deployment that could have disrupted thousands...

This just ANNOYS the heck out of me. Every time I see that the Democrats take power, we see the “Dense Pack” attack happen 2 minutes after all the oaths (not that they seem to mean much lately) are “promised” and the chamber is called into session. Dense Pack can be translated as “we’ve lined up ALL our Agenda items, have written the Bills, and are going to launch them via MALS (the new technology magnetic propelled aircraft launcher on the USS Ford instead of the old steam catapults) in a hurry. It’s happened time after time and REALLY accelerated...

China and Russia plan to set up a joint moon base by 2027, eight years earlier than originally planned. The joint moon base, called the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), will be a complex of experimental research facilities designed for multiple scientific activities, such as moon exploration, moon-based observation, research experiments and technology verification. China is planning to launch the Chang’e 8 lunar exploration mission as the first step in establishing the ILRS. The mission is expected to test technology for using local resources and manufacturing with 3D printing. Presently, China’s lunar presence includes the Chang’e 4 lander and the...

In mid-December, San Francisco posted new daily case totals that exceeded numbers from the summer delta variant-driven wave and last winter's wave. However, two weeks later, the city's hospitalization numbers are still a fraction of what they were during the previous two waves. UCSF's Dr. George Rutherford told SFGATE that in the past, hospitalizations have tended to increase 10 days after cases started to increase. 81% of San Francisco's total population is fully vaccinated. Health experts say that when reading reports on rising hospitalizations, another important caveat to keep in mind is the distinction between COVID-19 patients hospitalized "with" COVID-19...
