A week and a half before the 2020 election, National File broke the story after a Project Veritas whistleblower provided a digital copy of Ashley Biden’s diary to journalist Patrick Howley. Today, the FBI searched two addresses in New York related to Project Veritas in an apparent attempt to gain information about how the diary was acquired, admitting that Ashley Biden reported the diary stolen in the process when the story was then broken by the New York Times. The Project Veritas whistleblower told National File that the diary was found at an address where Ashley Biden used to stay.

Jordan.

This was the sound of the case against Kyle Rittenhouse disintegrating: Rittenhouse defense attorney: "It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him—advanced on him—that he fired, right?”Person Shot by Rittenhouse: "Correct." The first Capitol riot defendant to plead guilty to assaulting an officer has been sentenced to 41 months in prison, the harshest sentence yet imposed for the attack. Judge Royce Lamberth sentenced ex-MMA fighter Scott Fairlamb to approximately three and a half years in prison and three years probation for assaulting an officer while he was part of the violent mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 in support of former President Trump.

Her first live feed allegedly showed her taking two Canada Goose jackets from Nordstrom. She later posted the footage to a YouTube account that had her name on it, according to prosecutors. Another video, also posted to Rochon’s Facebook and YouTube accounts, showed her taking inventory from the Sunglass Hut and putting it in the back seat of “her looting car,” Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy said. One Twitter user was even kind enough to credit Rochon when they Tweeted her video: Judge Vincent Gaughan sentenced her to two concurrent 17-month sentences. That time was offset by the 445 days...

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blasted President Joe Biden for his withdrawal of U.S. troops out of Afghanistan. Graham said Biden “doesn’t understand the nature of the war on terrorism,” adding that he was the “most incompetent president in my lifetime.” He said that giving the Taliban, which took over Afghanistan as a result of the bother withdrawal, aid “would be the ultimate betrayal” of those harmed by the Taliban.

“If you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth” (James 3:14). A wise person lives for God and others, not for self. Having characterized spiritual wisdom in the preceding verse, James begins to analyze worldly wisdom in verse 14. Worldly wisdom is not of God. It has no relationship to Him, is not obedient to Him, and has no knowledge of His truth. What is the motive of someone who lives according to worldly wisdom? “Bitter jealousy and selfish ambition.” The Greek word translated “bitter” also means “harsh”...

Many Christians talk about intimacy with the Lord, walking with him, knowing him, having fellowship with him; but we can’t have true communion with God unless we receive into our hearts the full revelation of his love, grace and mercy. Communion with God consists of two things: 1. Receiving the love of the Father 2. Loving him in return You can spend hours each day in prayer, telling the Lord how much you love him, but that isn’t communion. If you haven’t received his love, you haven’t had communion with him. You simply can’t share intimacy with the Lord unless...

Memorial of Saint Leo the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church Luke 17:11-19 Friends, today’s Gospel recounts the Lord’s healing of ten lepers, only one of whom comes back to give thanks. Leprosy frightened people in ancient times, just as contagious and mysterious diseases frighten people today. But, more than this, leprosy rendered someone unclean and therefore incapable of engaging in the act of worship. It is not accidental that the person responsible for examining the patient in ancient Israel was the priest. The priest’s job was to monitor the whole process of Israelite worship, very much including who...

Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, the famously private owner of In-N-Out Burger, had a call with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week after the company's high-profile spat with Bay Area health departments over proof-of-vaccination requirements. DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw said that Snyder-Ellingson and the governor had a "productive conversation" on Monday about In-N-Out possibly expanding to Florida. DeSantis, whose hands-off approach to the pandemic has made him a serious 2024 presidential candidate, is one of the country's most visible proof-of-vaccination opponents. Florida law currently bars companies or government entities from requiring proof of vaccination from customers. In-N-Out entered the national discourse over...

The record for the coldest temperature ever achieved has been broken with the cooling of rubidium gas to 38 picokelvins (3.8 * 10-11 K). The work could lead to new insights into quantum mechanics. Temperature is a measure of the energy in atoms' or molecules' vibrations. The lowest temperature theoretically possible is absolute zero – 0 K or −273.15 ºC (−459.67 ºF) – which would require a complete cessation of movement. That's probably impossible practically, but for decades physicists have shown we can get very, very close by using lasers to damp atomic motion. In Physical Review Letters German scientists...

MADISON, Wis. — A historic Republican gubernatorial win in Virginia on Tuesday could forecast a tough election for Wisconsin’s governor next fall. It’s clearly “a shot across the bow,” former longtime Wisconsin Republican strategist Brandon Scholz said. Virginia’s gubernatorial history since the early 2000s trends deeper blue then Wisconsin’s own. Four out of their last five governors dating back to 2002 (including incumbent Ralph Northam and just-defeated former governor Terry McAuliffe); Wisconsin has had two Republicans out of four governors since 2001. Like Wisconsin, Virginia voted for President Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012. Unlike Wisconsin, Virginia remained blue...

YouTube today announced its decision to make the “dislike” count on videos private across its platform. The decision is likely to be controversial given the extent that it impacts the public’s visibility into a video’s reception. But YouTube believes the change will better protect its creators from harassment and reduce the threat of what it calls “dislike attacks” — essentially, when a group teams up to drive up the number of dislikes a video receives. The company says that while dislike counts won’t be visible to the public, it’s not removing the dislike button itself. Users can still click the...

President Joe Biden's pick for a top banking regulatory position said "we want" oil and gas companies to go bankrupt, although she acknowledged the country couldn't afford the loss of jobs. Saule Omarova, a law professor at Cornell University who graduated college in the USSR, has faced pushback over her nomination to be comptroller of the currency from business groups and Republicans, who have said that she is extreme and opposed to the industry as a whole. A video of her discussing the idea of a National Investment Authority — a new government bureaucracy that would act directly in financial...

Party doubles down on signature legislation despite anti-tax sentiments voters just expressed in this month’s elections....... The Democrats nearly lost the New Jersey governor's race last week, a close contest in which high taxes was a central issue. Despite that near-death experience, Democrats in Washington are redoubling their efforts to pass their nearly $2 trillion budget reconciliation bill, which is expected to sharply raise top average tax rates nationally, especially in historically blue states. The Tax Foundation estimates that the social spending bill is going to drive the "average top tax rate on personal income" up to 57.4%, which would...

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is issuing a final rule that expands federal pipeline safety oversight to all onshore gas gathering pipelines. The rule, initiated over 10 years ago, expands the definition of a “regulated” gas gathering pipeline that is more than 50 years old. It will — for the first time — apply federal pipeline safety regulations to tens of thousands of miles of unregulated gas gathering pipelines. The final rule will require pipeline operators to report safety information for all gas gathering lines, representing more than 425,000 additional miles covered by...
