Her first live feed allegedly showed her taking two Canada Goose jackets from Nordstrom. She later posted the footage to a YouTube account that had her name on it, according to prosecutors.
Another video, also posted to Rochon’s Facebook and YouTube accounts, showed her taking inventory from the Sunglass Hut and putting it in the back seat of “her looting car,” Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy said.
One Twitter user was even kind enough to credit Rochon when they Tweeted her video:
Judge Vincent Gaughan sentenced her to two concurrent 17-month sentences. That time was offset by the 445 days she spent on electronic monitoring before sentencing and Illinois’ standard 50% sentence reduction.

She probably got to keep the jackets. She’ll need them if shoe goes out late at night in winter and gets accosted by the same MAGA racists who targeted Jussie.
445 days she spent on electronic monitoring
/\
Really?
I bet she shoplifted every one of those 445 days.
That’s not punishment.
That’s reward.
Thats a nappy-headed ho
Being monitored by an ankle bracelet isn't the same level as a commitment to incarceration ; to assume that the two are equal punishment is ludicrous and ridiculous !
An ankle bracelet allows you freedoms to be at home, go shopping, go stealing as long as you can answer the phone within 10 minutes of a random computer generated phone call.
Concurrent jail terms demonstrates plea bargaining, while consecutive terms demonstrates severity and an attempt by society to issue a "time out", and go 'sit in a corner'.
A state issued and enforced "50% reduction of sentence" signifies no intent to incarcerate and also an attempt to clean out the jail/prison system.
80 IQ
This is why I created the “grey room” idea. When shoplifters are freed and not prosecuted, stores first reach an agreement with the local police that they will call in shoplifters, but the police won’t come by to pick them up. This will legally protect stores from “unlawful imprisonment” charges.
Then the stores create a soundproofed “grey room”, with nothing but a steel bench welded to the floor and fluorescent lighting, with a plastic bucket in the corner. After searching them and putting all their stuff in a locker, the shoplifter then gets to sit there in solitary confinement until 2-3am, when the store has closed and cleaning and inventory are done. Then they are put out on the street. If they drove there, their car is towed, so they get to walk home. If they have a cell phone, it might be left on so it will be drained when they get out.
Yeah, a miserable experience. If the law won’t punish them, maybe some Pavlovian discipline will.
Gee, what a surprise!
Didn’t even need to look at the pic based upon the Taeshia...
Maybe someday she’ll want something more than what her stomach or crotch tells her she wants...
It is a rational decision to take what you want knowing that NOTHING BAD will happen.
Gott ist Tot.
Do what you will.
Don’t forget Chiraqis, Californicators, and Wilhelm’s Army in NYC all VOTED for this.
Let it all burn.
I don’t give a shiite.
Rochon? No need to see her picture.
Not guilty.
Back in the 80s I did a job at Bloomingdales in Manhattan. Job took months and necessitated access to the entire five buildings that made up the store plus a couple of floors in a building across 60th St. Security at the store had a somewhat similar set of “cells” to hold shoplifters while awaiting NYPD. Doors to the cells had thick metal grating at head height for observation and very heavy wooden shelf to be used as seat, well secured to the back wall. Also, ring bolts were were provided for handcuffs.
Wholebunchalotta pleading, wailing and crying in that area.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you. Never in a million years would I have guess that! < /sarc >
White chick wouldn’t have got off.
She REALLY should have lifted some hair product
The sad part is, this woman is naturally quite beautiful and could have a great career in modeling or such if she were willing to do the work.
