In the lifespan of a sandwich, 40 years is no joke. Between the commemorative NFTs and the early product releases, McDonald’s is celebrating the 40th birthday of the McRib in a big way. And so is Ryan Reynolds, who made a cocktail inspired by the McRib using his own booze, Aviation Gin. The cocktail, rightfully named the Gin Riblet, is made by combining 4 ounces of tomato juice, ½ ounce of barbecue sauce, a squeeze of lemon, and 1½ oz of Aviation American Gin. The drink is definitely a savory sip and probably pairs well with the McRib itself. Other...

Florida has the lowest daily average of coronavirus cases per capita in the United States, according to the New York Times’ coronavirus map and case count. The chart, last updated Saturday, shows the Sunshine State reporting seven new cases per 100,000 — a drop of 28 percent in the last 14 days. Louisiana and Hawaii follow, reporting an average per capita of eight. As it has been for weeks, blue states are continuing to report significantly higher figures. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) Michigan is reporting 49 cases per capita, the daily average standing at 4,925 cases. That reflects a 26...

ON PRAYER The Sacred Scriptures urge us to pray always. That seems impossible at first sight; you can't spend your life on your knees. But people pray in many ways. Physical positions and movements, the lotus position for Buddhists, kneeling and folding hands for many Christian faith groups are prayer. Any attention paid to God is prayer. Whether or not any words are spoken, the actions themselves express awareness of, and communication with, God. As St. Teresa of Avila put it, way back in the 16th century, "For though we are always in the presence of God, it seems...

The Houston PD's Chief, Troy Finner, just confirmed what we'd been told ... namely, that at least one person had been injected with something via needle -- and there well may have been more. Chief Finner said a security guard working the event felt a prick in his neck by an unknown assailant while he was trying to restrain a citizen -- and he quickly fell unconscious. Finner says the guard was revived by use of NARCAN ... and that medical personnel did, indeed, see something on his neck that indicated he'd been stabbed with a syringe.

President Biden’s much-touted vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 employees or more met a roadblock on Saturday when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Court issued a temporary stay blocking the mandate while considering a permanent injunction. The ruling from a three-judge panel on Saturday resulted from a stay sought by the states of Texas, Utah, Mississippi and South Carolina, as well as several businesses that opposed the Biden plan. The states and businesses filed a petition of review of the agency action, which goes directly to a federal appeals court instead of a one-judge federal district...

House intelligence committee ranking member Devin Nunes and House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jim Jordan discuss several topics of concern in/around Washington DC including the recent indictment of Christopher Steele source Igor Danchenko. {Direct Rumble Link} Within the conversation CTH readers get a good look at one of the problems we have discussed exclusively on these pages, the issue of the information silos. Both Nunes and Jordan discuss information from the perspective of their legislative silo, without standing back to consider the issues as they exist in the larger dynamic. Ex. ¹Notice how both congressional advocates discuss Danchenko from the...

“‘Where can wisdom be found?’” (Job 28:12). Wisdom is found in a Person, not a place. In ancient days men would drill a shaft deep into a mountain or the ground, suspend themselves with a rope, and hang in the shaft while they tried to find some metal or precious stone to mine. In the Old Testament Job described the process this way: “He [man] sinks a shaft far from habitation, forgotten by the foot; they hang and swing to and fro far from men” (Job 28:4). The miner searched far below the earth’s surface for “anything precious” (v. 10)....

Hunter Biden’s art dealer, Georges Bergès, announced Friday that Hunter’s artwork is a testament to the “American story.” The president’s son, who grew up under the tutelage of a United States senator since age three, is supposedly a bastion of the American dream, or so Bergès claimed to the Times. “Hunter Biden’s story is the American story, Bergès declared. “It’s a redemptive story.” Hunter’s American “story” includes being under investigation by the FBI for money laundering, according to CNN, along with reportedly using the N-word, using his father’s last name to cut deals, demanding millions of dollars to unlock Libyan...

Leaders of ports along South Florida’s coast said they’re ready to step up and help other ports around the country, as those other ports continue to experience delays and backlogs due to global supply chain issues. The chairman of the board for the Florida Ports Council, Jonathan Daniels, said there is no congestion at the ports in Palm Beach County, Fort Lauderdale or Miami. However, he says supply chain issues are leading to delays north of Florida and on the West Coast. He says those ports are experiencing delays partly due to the fact that they supply goods for the...

Input Stimuli and Output Signals in LENR Experiments David J. Nagel The George Washington University USA E-mail: nagel@gwu.edu Over the decades, a wide variety of stimuli have been put into, and diverse signals have been measured from LENR experiments. The available empirical results raise two kinds of questions: (1) of all the published effects, which might be most valuable to emphasize in future experiments, and (2) what other stimuli or signals might be used to further the understanding and commercialization of LENR? This paper addresses these questions using the organization shown in this figure. Both productive past experiments and attractive...

Thirteen establishment House Republicans are facing backlash for enabling President Joe Biden’s infrastructure agenda, including the far-left’s reconciliation package. The 13 establishment House Republicans who voted to pass the $1.2 trillion “bipartisan” infrastructure bill, which will now go to Biden’s desk to sign, sprung free the far-left framework of the reconciliation package. The reconciliation package is a measure far-left Democrats had been fighting over for months while holding the infrastructure bill hostage. After 13 Republicans voted to pass Biden’s infrastructure bill, a rule was passed providing consideration for the reconciliation package’s framework, a key function that must occur in order...
