Republicans in Pennsylvania saw success in voters’ choices Tuesday to fill open seats on statewide appeals courts, including winning a marquee race for a seat on the state Supreme Court.
Republican Kevin Brobson beat Democrat Maria McLaughlin to serve a 10-year term on Pennsylvania’s highest court...Brobson, 50, a judge for more than a decade on the lower statewide Commonwealth Court, will replace the outgoing Republican Justice Thomas Saylor, who has hit the mandatory retirement age of 75.
In recent years, Brobson has handled key cases on guns and elections, including penning a congressional redistricting decision that was promptly overturned by the Democratic-majority Supreme Court in 2018.
He will join a court that has been at the center of major political disputes in the past year and a half, handling cases over the hotly contested 2020 presidential election as well as the legality of how Gov. Tom Wolf used his authority to respond to the global pandemic.

I didn’t check out the rest of the Commonwealth, but nearly all the school board races were won by Republicans in South Central PA (And those running as Rep/Dem. Not sure about those.)
That was already a Republican seat on their Supreme Court.
Well clearly Pennsylvania’s have gone out to vote this year .....I expect they’ll show up for others as well. Unfortunately Phila and Pittsburgh like to cheat a lot so there’s that. And Pitt just got a black racist Mayor.
The sinfully bad AP journalists made up a lame excuse about various offices in PA going to GOP.
AP today said:
....the red wave building over the summer when frustrated parents filled school board meetings to complain about masking requirements and an academic theory on systemic racism that wasn’t even taught in local schools.
They realized the wave was growing when such concerns, fueled by misleading reports on conservative media, began showing up in unrelated elections for judges, sheriff and even the county recorder of deeds. And so they were not surprised — but devastated all the same — when Democrats all across this key county northeast of Philadelphia were wiped out in Tuesday’s municipal elections.

AP claims the “conservative media” misled parents and others into fearing a mythical and nonexistent BLM lesson plan called CRT would take over but the innocent teachers weren’t even doing anything controversial at all———BS!!!!
So the PA judicial elections were the result of voters fooled by unintelligent conservative hayseeds.

This is obviously a false report. The FR doom-and-gloomers have been telling us every day for a year that NO Republican will EVER win an election again.
Might we conclude that the days of voter apathy on the part of Republicans has come to an end? Did Cheater-Poopy pants Brandon wake up the sleeping giant?
Well currently what other option is there? Just let the Dems roll on with nothing in their way at all. I don’t know what the solution is but we’re in a bind as a nation and as a Republican Party.
When 13 Republican vote to further put our children into debt, who cares if Republicans win. We can never be sure if they will turn out to be a RINO. But of course, the worst Republican is still better than the best democrat taliban party politician.
Supreme court is still 5-2 dem majority. he is replacing a republican forced to retire by age.

Harrisburg got a dumb black racist woman as a mayor too. While I live close to Harrisburg, I discount the vote there. It’s actually a very small city, only 48k, and it is dwarfed by conservatives in the area.
I think the syllogism goes like this: RINOs are dumb. You elect RINOs. You must be even dumber.
I don't know how to refute it except by what just happened. You stop listening to RINOS and you stop accepting their loser ways.
It is good that a Republican won on the Pa Supreme Court but wake me up when the Republicans have the majority and it is no longer 5 to 2 Dems.The cancer is still there

The Central York [County] race was a split bag of D & R, some pro CRT/pro mask and some the other way.
The York Suburban board was taken by pro CRT maskerbators.
I must have missed looking at York Co. Must be migrants from MD polluting York Co.
Biden legitimately carried about a third of the precincts in each of those School Districts.
Used to be that York County was solidly red except for the City, West York and North York Boroughs.
Now the 1st and 4th wards of Spring Garden Township have gone blue plus some others I can’t readily recall.
