Multiple major Democratic donors, as well as a political action committee run by John Bolton, have given money to Republican Rep. Liz Cheney's reelection bid as she has positioned herself as the main GOP critic of former President Donald Trump. The development comes as Cheney takes on Trump in her role as a leader of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. She has also faced criticism and rebukes from members of her own party, and she is staring down a Trump-supported primary challenge in next year's midterm elections. Team Cheney, Liz Cheney's joint fundraising...

In the latest and largest strike to hit manufacturing in recent months, more than 10,000 UAW-represented Deere & Co. workers officially went on strike at the stroke of twelve between October 13 and 14. Workers roundly rejected an October 1 UAW-negotiated contract with the tractor manufacturer, with 90% of members voting against the deal. The strike will hit 14 of Deere & Co.’s U.S. locations. Half of those factories are in Iowa; the rest are in Illinois, Kansas, Colorado, and Georgia. The strike’s timing comes at an inopportune point for Deere & Co., which has already seen record profits this...

His doctors reportedly told CBS contributor David Angus: "At the first event he started to feel lightheaded, nausea, vomiting, and was brought to a hospital "At that hospital, he was found to have an infection in his blood, and they did a CAT scan, looked over...

[Catholic Caucus] Declaration of Catholic Faith Against Francis’s SynodWe are Catholics who seek to honor God and save our souls by following our Catholic Faith, which we know was handed down by Jesus Christ to His disciples and faithfully transmitted through the ages despite the constant attacks of those who hate God and His Catholic Church. The Church has always responded to these attacks on its immutable teaching by defining the truths of the Faith to render them plainly clear to all men of good will and immune to legitimate misinterpretation.Despite these efforts to defend the Church, deceitful men have...

(NEXSTAR) – As the U.S. confronts rising inflation, slower job gains and a crippled supply chain, a new study finds that the Americans most in need of a stimulus check at the beginning of the pandemic continue to suffer most. The three rounds of stimulus checks spanning two presidencies were critical to lower earners, researchers with the Capital One Insights Center found, but didn’t go far enough. The study started in spring of 2020, with the authors administering surveys to a nationally representative group of Americans every four to eight months to learn more about the virus’ impact, from how...

Parents in multiple Alabama school districts have been warned to give their children breakfast and sent them to school with snacks because supply chain shortages have badly-affected food deliveries. District leaders are asking parents to feed their own kids and pack snacks before sending them to class as employees work around-the-clock to keep pantries stocked. The situation is so dire in the state’s Dothan City Schools district that officials are mulling switching to virtual learning for part of the week to ‘alleviate the stress of our food supplies.’(snip) Dothan superintendent Dennis Coe said labor and raw material shortages are to...

Things are going horribly for Democrats. A legislative seat held for decades by Democrats in Iowa is no longer blue. Republicans flipped in red. In the “Trump-hostile” state of Connecticut, Republicans won back a state senate seat. This occurred in an affluent suburban where folks have been anti-Trump. Here’s a quick review of the history of this Iowa seat: “This district went (62/38) blue in 2012,” Townhall reports. “Then (51/38) in 2016.” “It shifted back to deeper blue territory in the Democratic wave year of 2018, only to become a three-point squeaker in 2020,” the report added. In yesterday’s special,...

Beth Barts, a far-left member of the Loudoun County School Board, has resigned from her position. First elected in 2019, Barts has been criticized by parent groups over Critical Race Theory and transgender policies in the school system. Her resignation, which will take effect on November 2, 2021, staves off an ongoing recall attempt. “This was not an easy decision or a decision made in haste. After much thought and careful consideration, it is the right decision for me and my family,” said Barts in a statement Friday. “I am grateful to have had a role in empowering students to...

Both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly are plodding forward on legislation to waive training requirements to carry a concealed weapon. While current law allows state residents to openly carry a weapon, it only allows those 21-and-up to obtain a concealed carry permit after completing an 8-hour training course and passing a background check. House Bill 227 and Senate Bill 215, which contain some important differences, would waive these permitting requirements, including the training. The effort, if successful, would continue Ohio’s steady relaxing of its gun laws over the last 20 years, which has included launching the concealed carry program...

A group of House Republicans sent a letter Tuesday to the U.S. Department of State and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) demanding they expedite the evacuation of all remaining Americans and Afghan allies stuck in Afghanistan. The letter, first obtained by the Daily Caller, was spearheaded by Republican Georgia Rep. Jody Hice and signed by 10 other Republicans. In it, the lawmakers said they have stayed in touch with Americans and allies still in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. President Joe Biden’s withdrawal left between 100-200 U.S. citizens still in the country. “Each passing day makes it more difficult to safely evacuate...

LONG BEACH, California — Crane operators who belong to a powerful union and earn up to $250,000 a year transferring containers from ships to trucks are worsening the supply chain crisis that threatens Christmas by goofing off on the job, frustrated truckers told the Washington Examiner. The finger-pointing at the busy Los Angeles County ports comes as scores of container ships are anchored off the California coast, waiting in some cases for weeks to unload their freight. The Biden administration has scrambled to get shipping executives, port officials, and labor to tackle the problem. While the reasons for the burgeoning...

The hashtag #EmptyShelvesJoe was one of the hottest trends across Twitter Thursday as people en masse are waking up to the fact that international supply chains are clogged, and shortages have resulted in empty store shelves at their local retailer. The hashtag, number one in the US on Thursday, comes one day after President Biden issued a port directive to operate 24/7 to alleviate snarled supply chains. But the move to have Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, a point of entry for 40% of all US containerized goods, work in hyperdrive to alleviate congestion is “too little, too...

President Donald Trump released a statement today revealing new “damning and determinative” information discovered in Pima County, Arizona. The Gateway Pundit reported on a statement earlier, where President Trump teased this release. These new findings from the Pima County mail-in ballot analysis are both damning and determinative, and they show that fictitious votes were inserted into the system. The Gateway Pundit reported that AZ State Rep and candidate for Arizona Secretary of State, Mark Finchem hinted at these findings at the last Trump rally, and he is fighting for a full forensic audit of Pima County. President Trump released the...

Explanation: About 70 million light-years distant, gorgeous spiral galaxy NGC 289 is larger than our own Milky Way. Seen nearly face-on, its bright core and colorful central disk give way to remarkably faint, bluish spiral arms. The extensive arms sweep well over 100 thousand light-years from the galaxy's center. At the lower right in this sharp, telescopic galaxy portrait the main spiral arm seems to encounter a small, fuzzy elliptical companion galaxy interacting with enormous NGC 289. Of course spiky stars are in the foreground of the scene. They lie within the Milky Way toward the southern constellation Sculptor.

A man described by Kenyan authorities as a “bloodthirsty vampire” who allegedly killed at least ten children, in some cases by sucking blood from their veins and leaving them to die, has been lynched by a furious mob. The case of Masten Milimo Wanjala, 20, came to its grim conclusion Friday, two days after the alleged child-killer escaped from custody hours before a court appearance over the murders of 12 and 13-year-old children. He was arrested in July over the disappearance of two kids, but officials said he then admitted to killing ten over a sickening five-year spree. Kenyan police...

The exchange took place Wednesday at a Russian Energy Week panel in Moscow moderated by CNBC journalist Hadley Gamble. The reporter had pressed Putin on reports of Russia withholding gas supplies to Europe to drive up prices, and after the Russian leader dismissed the claim, she asked how Moscow could convince its European partners that it’s a reliable gas supplier in light of such reports. “A beautiful woman, pretty. I tell her one thing, and she says something completely different. As if she didn’t hear what I said,” Putin said, turning to the male members of the audience. And while...
