Two different National Firearms Surveys were completed in 2021. One of them was done by Dr. William English of Georgetown University. He published a draft of his study in July of 2021. This correspondent wrote about the results in a previous article. A different 2021 National Firearms Survey was designed by Deborah Azrael and Matthew Miller, as reported in thehill.com, had preliminary results obtained by the Wall Street Journal. Both surveys are the latest version of previous surveys. The English survey is much larger than the Azrael – Miller survey. This correspondent received confirmation of the confusion from Dr. English:As you...

“Rule for thee but not for me.” Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom (CA) admits in a recent article published by LA Times that his 12-year-old daughter has not yet received the jab despite being qualified. According to the governor, his daughter has a series of other shots to get first before she will get the COVID-19 vaccine. Newsom prioritized other shots for his daughter before the COVID-19 vaccine that could possibly “end this pandemic” per Biden and Fauci. Is he trying to say that this pandemic isn’t as dangerous as what the media want us to believe? In real world, people...

The board voted 9-1 for the proposal by Chair Jeffrey McKay to send a letter to Northam, with Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity, the board’s only Republican, casting the only vote against the motion. McKay said that waiving the witness signature requirement – as was done during the 2020 election – is necessary due to the continued threat of COVID-19. He said several Fairfax residents had shared concerns with him about obtaining witness signatures – arguing they could be exposed to COVID-19 in the process. “No one should have their ballot rejected because they’re unwilling to risk their health and...

There is no more electricity in the whole country after the two largest oil-powered power plants in Lebanon were forced to shut down due to a lack of fuel. The affected thermoelectric plants Zahrani and Deir Ammar power stations had been providing 40% of Lebanon’s electricity, according to their operator, Electricité Du Liban. The blackout could last a few days, as a Lebanese government official told Reuters. “The Lebanese power network completely stopped working at noon today, and it is unlikely that it will work until next Monday, or for several days.”

Pandemic-driven global trade disruptions and an increasing number of shipping companies abandoning their own vessels over mounting debts including older vessels deemed too costly to repair has led to the rise in the phenomenon of crewmembers simply being abandoned at sea, often left to fend for themselves as they await pay which sometimes never comes. A Friday investigative report in The Wall Street Journal has detailed some of the shocking stories of tanker crew members left adrift after companies abandoned vessels or sold or transferred them, or couldn’t pay mounting debts, while trying to survive oftentimes on little food even...

The U.S. may be heading into winter with the lowest stockpiles of heating oil to meet surging demand in more than two decades.Inventories of distillates -- used as diesel for both transportation and heating oil -- are enough to meet 31.2 days of demand, according to the Energy Information Administration. That’s the tightest it has been for this time of the year since 2000.The dwindling supplies raise the specter of energy shortages and price spikes in the U.S. this winter -- at a time when the rest of the world has already been upended by fuel shortages and blackouts. They...

The Financial Times has published an article which asserts that people living in European countries should “prepare for demographic replenishment by Arabs and Asians.”Yes, really. Parag Khanna, the writer of the article also authored a book called ‘Move: How Mass Migration Will Reshape the World — and What It Means For You’. Unsurprisingly, he also has close ties with the World Economic Forum and the Council on Foreign Relations and was a ‘Global Governance Fellow’ at the Brookings Institution. Khanna ludicrously claims that large swathes of the planet will become “uninhabitable” due to climate change, causing “millions, if not billions...

Garland acted with reckless haste to implement the anti-parent agenda demanded by the National School Board Association (NSBA). Without any investigation to establish the validity of NSBA’s claims, he accepted them as valid and issued an immediate order. Garland did so on October 4 just five days after the NSBA insisted that Biden have DOJ and the FBI act against parents protesting Critical Race Theory and mask mandates. The NSBA letter to Biden asks for parents to be treated like domestic terrorists and be investigated by DOJ and the FBI. In his October 4 memorandum, Garland responded by ordering the...

Security video exclusively obtained by Eyewitness News shows a man across the street on the sidewalk, pacing around before he spots his victim on 21st and Walnut Streets in Center City last Thursday just before 10:45 p.m. You can see the man rushing up to her when it appears he punches her in her face and then runs away. The victim falls to the ground and a short time later, a group of people gathers to help her and call 911. “I’m still in shock. I still don’t understand why it happened, why it happened to me. And I realize...

A 19-year-old cat named Gus was brought into a North Carolina shelter recently, and the Humane Society of Catawba County’s executive director, Jane Bowers, said his owner was “heartbroken.” Bowers told Daily Paws they were forced to surrender him because of unforeseen circumstances, the website reported Thursday. At the shelter, Gus received a screening that showed he was enjoying good health. However, even with the organization’s funds for extra health care and help from another location, Bowers said there was still concern about him having to spend the rest of his life in a shelter. But it was not long...

You don’t have to be any kind of a genius to figure out that wind and solar generation are never going to supplant fossil fuels in powering the world economy. The main reason is that the wind and sun only work part time, indeed well less than half of the time at best. With wind, you never know when it might work, and over a year a given facility might on average produce about 30-35% of rated capacity, with long and random periods of nothing. With the sun, you know from the get-go that you will get nothing fully half...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemEcclesiastes 8 Who is like the wise? Who knows the explanation of things? A person’s wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance. Obey the King 2 Obey the king’s command, I say, because you took an oath before God. 3 Do not be in a hurry to leave the king’s presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases. 4 Since a king’s word is supreme, who can say to him, “What are you doing?” 5 Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and...

Ted Lasso, on AppleTV+, has gone all James Bond-ish on us, with its own megalomanical, neatly dressed, bald or blondish supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. I'm refering to ex kit-man, ex-assistant coach, and newly minted (apparently) main coach of an opposing team bought by Rebecca's wealthy ex-husband. Nate! The emotionally crippled man-child with seemingly great soccer tactical skills but no adult maturity or honest self-worth assessment. If you've seen the Season 3 finale final scene, you know what I mean. As soon as I saw the rear view of him standing there at his new team's practice, I said, that's Blofeld!...

The statistics for the entirety of Donald Trump’s time in office are nearly all compiled. As we did for his predecessor four years ago, we present a final look at the numbers.

I'm sorry, President Trump -- not everything is about you. I'm not getting jabbed, hordes of others aren't either, and it has absolutely nothing to do with you in any way. Although I have supported him since he ran for president (and believe him to be the legitimately elected president of the United States), Donald Trump really does have an problem getting a bit too full of himself and saying nonsensical things while flailing around narcissistically. I present this bit of nonsense he rambled on Thursday about people who remain unvaxxed as irrefutable evidence: "During my administration, everybody wanted the...

Editor's note: This piece was co-authored by Maroun MedlejIn early May resident Biden proposed several tax increases, but stated that those who make under $400,000 per year "will not pay a single penny in taxes." And he has repeated that claim as he tries to get his legislation passed. Of course, he did not mean they would pay no taxes, just that they would not pay increased taxes under his program. He’s going to tax the rich and corporations. It’s a great sales pitch—corporations should pay their fair share and you ordinary folks won’t feel a thing. Unfortunately, it is...

There is so much in the news right now about hiring – people looking for jobs, employers who can’t fill jobs, etc. I want to shine a light that is relevant to all these contexts: Professionals with autism. I’ve noticed that many businesses (including Schnucks and Trader Joe’s) are transparent and show pride in hiring autistic employees. The fact that more companies are striving to have an increasingly diverse and inclusive workforce makes me smile. Hiring individuals with autism is just another indicator of how we are progressing as a society, recognizing that all individuals have a place to contribute...

Now they are enemies of the state! What does this tell us? Thanks to Joe Biden’s absurd push for vaccine mandates, workers throughout the nation are being fired -- as in not allowed to come to work! These are the people who for over a year and a half have been caring for, treating thousands of Covid patients. They were and are heroes as are all our first responders, until they chose not to submit to the emergency authorized experimental vaccine. Now they are enemies of the state! What does this tell us? For over a year and a half...
