Security video exclusively obtained by Eyewitness News shows a man across the street on the sidewalk, pacing around before he spots his victim on 21st and Walnut Streets in Center City last Thursday just before 10:45 p.m.
You can see the man rushing up to her when it appears he punches her in her face and then runs away. The victim falls to the ground and a short time later, a group of people gathers to help her and call 911.
“I’m still in shock. I still don’t understand why it happened, why it happened to me. And I realize it can happen to anybody,” the victim said.

The last time I was in Philadelphia was 2015, and I understand it perfectly.
I am always armed. As I sit typing this I have 2 handguns in easy reach. I practice Situational Awareness at all times. If you enter my personal space aggressively I will drop you in a heartbeat.

They do. I imagine it’s not easy and there is much pressure to the contrary. Besides the social messaging that becoming civilized is a betrayal, is the opposite of cool, etc., it sends a signal of weakness to the uncivilized, and invites being preyed upon.

My fear is the “CANCER” which is Philadelphia will metastasize to the adjoining suburbs.
