All of the readings in this Sunday’s Mass speak of human desire. In the first reading, the Israelites in the desert are hungry, so are the people by the lakeside with Jesus in the Gospel reading, and in the Epistle, St. Paul warns of deceitful desires. In all these passages, God teaches us that our desires are ultimately directed to Him, who alone can truly satisfy us. Why is this? Because our desires are infinite, and thus a finite world cannot satisfy them.Let’s look at what the Lord teaches by focusing on the Gospel, but also including insights from the...

The fallout from comments made by DaBaby about HIV and gay men continues, after the rapper was booted off the bill of a major music festival. DaBaby has been widely criticised for his comments, where he told audience members to put their phone lights in the air - unless they were HIV-positive or were gay men who performed sex acts in car parks. As well as seemingly singling out those suffering from the virus, DaBaby also incorrectly asserted that it will "make you die in two or three weeks". The Grammy-nominated rapper had been due to be one of the...

August 2 , 2021 Franciscan Church, Sanok, Poland Readings at MassLiturgical Colour: Green First readingNumbers 11:4-15 ©The sons of Israel complain in the desertThe sons of Israel began to wail, ‘Who will give us meat to eat?’ they said. ‘Think of the fish we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic! Here we are wasting away, stripped of everything; there is nothing but manna for us to look at!’ The manna was like coriander seed, and had the appearance of bdellium. The people went round gathering it, and ground it in a mill or...

Historically, Democrats and Republicans were merely opposition parties. They had a few shared objectives — prosperity, liberty, and national security. However, they had very different ideas about how to achieve those objectives. It was a political environment well suited to debate and compromise. Then the election of 2000 happened, and something changed. George W. Bush won the presidential election by a mere 537 votes. Losing in such a narrow fashion was too much for the Democrats to cope with. In their rage, they went insane. The Democrat party has always had radical elements. But up until 2001, the party had...

Thomas Kuhn, a renowned philosopher of science, suggested in his 1962 work The Structure of Scientific Revolutions that scientific progress advances through a series of revolutionary cycles. In each cycle, a dominant scientific model ("Normal Science") is widely accepted by consensus within the scientific community. Anomalies that contradict the model may emerge, causing the model to "drift" away from scientific consensus. When new observations severely contradict the existing model, the model undergoes a "crisis," leading to the emergence of new models ("model revolution"). A "paradigm shift" then occurs in which a competing model becomes dominant, and the cycle repeats over...

We are a year and half into the world’s nightmare of COVID-19, also known as the Chinese coronavirus, based on where this demon virus originated and spread from, either intentionally or inadvertently. We have been told to not wear masks, then wear one mask, then two masks, then no masks indoors. Now we are back to indoor masking and soon outdoor masking, too. The same “experts” told us that the vaccines were safe and effective, the pathway out of this nightmare. If we were vaccinated we no longer had to wear a mask, at least as of last May, according...

I’m more worried about what is happening behind the scenes in the non-COVID universe while everyone is distracted by the purposeful weaponization of the healthcare institutions. It’s the other thing, the unseen activity, that is most troublesome when the leftists are this entrenched on a singular narrative. In this clip from Anthony Fauci on ABC This Week Sunday [Rumble Link], the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, claims that individual rights no longer exist during the era of COVID-19. When you consider the mindset of the far-left, his opinion on communal rights -vs- individual rights is right...

What’s Happening: In the aftermath of the 2020 Election, Republican-controlled states have been fighting to fix countless voting problems. Not a big surprise, though, that Democrats are doing everything they can to stop them. Funny how Democrats don’t mind a broken system that can be easily exploited, huh? Arizona passed rules to prevent ballot harvesting and other changes that would open elections to fraud. Democrats sued, taking it all the way to the Supreme Court. But the court just handed them some major news. From Fox News: The Supreme Court upheld Arizona voting rules that restrict ballot harvesting and the...

DEUEL COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — The Good Samaritan Society in Deuel County has experienced a COVID-19 breakout among residents and staff where all of the residents are fully vaccinated. In Australia's socialist left governed police state of Victoria, a man can be arrested for lobbying a female politician for World War Two memorial tree plantings. A man can be hauled before a family violence court if a woman does not like the way he looks at her. The police can throw a religious man in jail for conducting a mass. (Cardinal George Pell) The price of liberty IS eternal vigilance against the dangers of leftist crap. Remembering and honoring the heroes of WW2 is one way to oppose modern PC political stupidity.

An analysis of data available on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website reveals a shocking truth. Over the last two weeks, there has been such a huge spike in Covid-19 “vaccine” deaths reported through VAERS that the totals are higher than the deaths attributed to Covid-19 itself during the same time period.According to the CDC’s vaccine adverse reactions portal, there have been 4,006 deaths following Covid-19 vaccinations reported between June 26 and July 9. During the same time period, the CDC shows 3,114 deaths attributed to Covid-19. That means there have been over 28% more vaccine-related deaths than...

Former President Barack Obama has come under fire for his plans to host nearly 500 people at his Martha's Vineyard mansion for his 60th birthday, despite a nationwide rise in COVID cases. The former president is set to turn 60 on August 4, and is said to be planning a large soiree at his 7,000-square-foot mansion in the Edgarton section of Martha's Vineyard next weekend. An official familiar with the plans told Axios that there are now 475 confirmed guests for the party - including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Steven Spielberg - with more than 200 staff members.

After much delay, senators finally unveiled a $1trillion infrastructure package Sunday night that includes historic funding for railways, clean water and electric car charging stations. Of the $1trillion package, $66billion is earmarked for railways - the largest spending since the creation of Amtrak in the 1970s - $55billion will fund the replacement of every lead pipe in the country and $7.5billion will go towards building the first-ever network of charging stations for electric vehicles. The bill also includes an additional $65billion to expand broadband Internet access across the country, and senators are pursuing for upwards of $25billion to repair major...

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti recently signed into law an ordinance that criminalizes homelessness in most parts of the city, a motion that has drawn just as much fierce support by some as it has opposition by others. The law specifies certain times and locations where it will be 'unlawful for a person to sit, lie, or sleep, or to store, use, maintain, or place personal property in the public right-of-way'. The ordinance, which will go into effect 30 days from last Thursday, makes it illegal to sit, lie, sleep, or set up encampments within 500 feet from 'sensitive use'...

According to data Bloomberg collected from 35 states, 111,748 vaccine breakthrough cases have been identified in the US through the end of July. This is 10 TIMES the CDC’s count when they stopped tracking breakthrough cases in May. Recall, the CDC stopped collecting data on breakthrough cases in May unless it ended up as a hospitalization or death. The CDC stopped tracking these cases as the Delta variant began to spread. The Biden Admin, Big Media and CDC have since called this the “pandemic of the unvaccinated” – simply because they stopped tracking Covid cases of the vaccinated.Bloomberg reported:While the Centers for Disease...
