JUST IN: 111,000+ Vaccine Breakthrough Cases Identified in US – More Than **10X** CDC’s Count When They Stopped Tracking in May

According to data Bloomberg collected from 35 states, 111,748 vaccine breakthrough cases have been identified in the US through the end of July.

This is 10 TIMES the CDC’s count when they stopped tracking breakthrough cases in May.

Recall, the CDC stopped collecting data on breakthrough cases in May unless it ended up as a hospitalization or death.

The CDC stopped tracking these cases as the Delta variant began to spread.

The Biden Admin, Big Media and CDC have since called this the “pandemic of the unvaccinated” – simply because they stopped tracking Covid cases of the vaccinated.

Bloomberg reported:

While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stopped comprehensively tracking what are known as vaccine breakthrough cases in May, the consequences of that choice are only now beginning to show.

At the time, the agency had identified only 10,262 cases across the U.S. where a fully vaccinated person had tested positive for Covid. Most people who got infected after vaccination showed few symptoms, and appeared to be at low risk of infecting others.

But in the months since, the number of vaccine breakthrough cases has grown, as has the risk that they present. And while the CDC has stopped tracking such cases, many states have not. Bloomberg gathered data from 35 states and identified 111,748 vaccine breakthrough cases through the end of July, more than 10 times the CDC’s end-of-April tally.

In a statement, the CDC said it continued to follow trends in breakthrough cases using studies it has set up.

“CDC is actively tracking breakthrough cases as part of what are called cohort studies, which often involve tens of thousands of people across the country,” agency spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund said in an email. “We will continue to publish additional results from these cohort studies as they are available.”

The CDC is now recommending masks for everyone regardless of vaccination status.

Recently there was a flight of Texas Democrats who fled the state. Of the 60 passengers, at least 6 of them got COVID. All were fully vaccinated. The Democrats decided to stop releasing the number of people who got COVID as reality did not comport with their agenda.

0.2% mortality among all Americans, infected or not. 0.6% mortality among infected Americans (est 120 million infected). Current case fatality rates are over 1% (e.g Florida). There are no numbers to get to 99.7

Delta in the UK has 0.16% or less. Delta is effectively inoculating the UK. The probllem is we can't do that here thanks to importation of Brazilian and Columbian variants among others. But we have a travel ban from the UK. I wonder why...

So we have 6% hospitalization and about 1% mortality among the 111,000 breakthrough cases. When are we going to dispense with the myth that breakthrough cases are less serious???' They are not less serious. They are less common. The numbers above are 0.07% of vaccinated turn into a case. The numbers from Mass are a ibt over 0.1% of vaccinated turn into a case.

That's it. There are very few cases among vaccinated, unless, like in Provincetown, the vaccinated engage in risky or extremely risky behavior. If you are vaccinated, you have to want to be infected.

Once you are vaccinated and infected you are in the same boat as the unvaccinated infected. Same level of serious cases. Same rate of death.

our current mortality is 1.8% averaged. (John Hopkins, July 2021) about 6-8% for those over 70, increasing with age.

Over 2 million hospitalizations not including repeat admissions, out of 35 million confirmed cases.

P-town was an outlier, lots of HIV/STDS/drinking/drugs and the usual pre-existing in the older - even so, 4 hospitalized, age 20-70, no deaths.

I’d like to see a breakdown of the 6239 or at least the 1263, regarding age at least; I’d wager most of them were in the older brackets with poor antibody response.

I’d still dispute whether a vaccinated infected can spread - remember last year the argument over asymptomatics spreading?

I’m pretty sure antibodies in the bloodstream would also be in the blood vessels in the nose. And so if a vaccinated inhaled virus from an infected carrier thru their nose, that virus would be neutralized pretty quickly depending on the person’s antibody production following vaccination.

But if it’s being said that a ‘vaccinated’ person can transmit, then it follows that ‘recovered’ could also transmit, along with asymptomatics or anyone who has a nose. All three would have comparable levels of antibodies, age and pre-existing adjusted.
