Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell struck a stance of cool defiance when it comes to concerns over inflation surging. Powell said Wednesday that he expects inflation, which has been rising by much more than expected for the past four months, “will likely remain elevated in coming months” before “moderating.” This is an indication that the Fed is not ready to change course from its declared plan to keep rates low for an extended period of time even though growth and inflation are running hotter than expected. In testimony before the House Financial Services Committee, Powell faced many questions, particularly Republicans,...

Virginia’s Loudoun County Public Schools has emerged as a national representation of the critical race theory (CRT) clash between parents and administrators. A local school board recall effort is gaining traction. But aside from figures like Ian Prior at Fight for Schools or thinkers at The Heritage Foundation that sponsor events, what do normal Loudouners think? I ventured out to Loudoun County to walk the streets of Leesburg and Ashburn and see who would talk to me about CRT. Most turned me down, understandably cautious about staking a political claim in media. The owner of one clothing store instructed me to...

Cornell University has introduced an astronomy course to explore the connection between the term black holes and “racial blackness” — proof, say critics, that even the hard sciences aren’t immune to universal “racial hysteria.” The course, titled “Black Holes: Race and the Cosmos,” uses work from black studies theorists, artists and fiction writers to challenge “conventional wisdom” about the role that race plays in astronomy. “Conventional wisdom would have it that the ‘black’ in black holes has nothing to do with race. Surely there can be no connection between the cosmos and the idea of racial blackness. Can there?” reads...

“Today, in addition to @BrianKempGA resignation, I am calling for an IMMEDIATE GBI investigation into reports of duplicate ballot counts and thousands of missing chain of custody documents. Our Governor had a DUTY to do his due diligence before certifying our election,” Jones tweeted. “He FAILED. This is criminal." Jones also linked to a story from The Federalist that states “new evidence indicates that more than 10,300 illegal votes were cast in Georgia in the November 2020 general election — a number that will continue to rise over the next several months, potentially exceeding the 12,670 votes that separated Joe...

According to Red Voice Media and the Stew Peters Show, United Air Lines and the Air Line Pilots Association have hatched a scheme to incentivize pilots to accept one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines: Get vaccinated, or be permanently grounded and unable to work.“United Airlines and the Air Line Pilots Association have openly released a monetary ‘bonus’ for those that decide in favor of the jab, offering 13.5 hours of flight pay bonus, which ends up being anywhere between $2,500 and $4,800 depending on what seat the pilot occupies, and the level of their seniority,” Stew Peters reports. “The truth...

LOS ANGELES, CA—LAX air traffic controllers are scrambling to make room on the runway for an unexpected arrival: a charter plane full of Texas Democrats. According to sources, Governor Abbott bribed the charter plane pilot tasked with taking the Democrats back to Texas, and convinced the pilots to reroute to California, where they'll probably feel more at home. Abbott's approval rating skyrocketed after employing the "4D chess" move, which got rid of Texas Democrats for good and allowed Republicans to continue running the state unimpeded in one fell swoop. "Well, y'all, looks like we ain't in Texas anymore," said one...

This week, thousands of Cuban dissidents marched against the repressive communist tyranny that has subjugated the Cuban people for three generations. They chanted "Libertad!" and called for the end of the regime. And they carried aloft a symbol of freedom: the American flag. This isn't a rarity. It's a common sight among protesters for freedom worldwide. Before Hong Kong was turned into yet another municipality of the Chinese communist tyranny, freedom-seeking dissidents marched by the tens of thousands, carrying the American flag. When Iranian protesters stand up against the mullahcracy subjecting their nation to theocratic despotism, they refuse to deface...

Memorial of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Matthew 11:25-27 Friends, in today’s Gospel, we see Jesus praying to his Father. We are being given a share in the inner life of God, the conversation between the first two Trinitarian persons. And what are the "things" that have been concealed from the learned and revealed to the little ones? Nothing other than the mystery of the inner life of God. Now why, precisely, is this knowledge concealed from the learned and disclosed to children? The clue is in the next statement: "All things have been handed over to me by my Father." What...

Former President Donald Trump scored a First Amendment win when a New York judge dismissed a case against him and popular social media personality CarpeDonktum over a meme criticizing legacy media as “fake news.” According to New York Supreme Court Judge David Benjamin Cohen, the meme retweeted by Trump and created by CarpeDonktum, whose real name Logan Cook, was “newsworthy” and clearly satirical. The Hollywood Reporter described the video in question: Cook found a video of a white toddler running after a black toddler and stuck a chyron reading “breaking news” over it. The captions read, “Terrified Todler [sic] Runs...

VIDEOParents spoke truth to woke school board power during the July 8, 2021 meeting of the Haverford Township School Board in Pennsylvania. The snarky school board reactions made it obvious that they did NOT like what they were hearing. The parents were quite forceful in their opposition to the woke policies being imposed upon their children. Perhaps we heard from some future school board members at that meeting.

- Skip - Whenever someone asks me about critical race theory, that statistic comes to mind. What’s the priority, teaching math and reading, or turning elementary schools into social-justice boot camps? Given that black and Hispanic students are more likely to be lagging academically, it’s a question that anyone professing to care deeply about social inequality might consider. Learning gaps manifest themselves in all kinds of ways later in life, from unemployment rates and income levels to the likelihood of teenage pregnancy, substance abuse and involvement with the criminal-justice system. Our jails and prisons already have too many woke illiterates....

A recent article on Friendship from the Survey Center on American Life reports:Many Americans do not have a large number of close friends. Close to half (49 percent) of Americans report having three or fewer. More than one-third (36 percent) of Americans report having several close friends—between four and nine. Thirteen percent of Americans say they have 10 or more close friends, which is roughly the same proportion of the public that has no close friends (12 percent). One of the many troublesome aspects of the modern age of which I have written before is the demise of friendship. While the...

BARCELONA — Last month, as Europe finally lifted COVID-19 restrictions, the mood was jubilant across the continent. Outdoor mask mandates and curfews were dropped, Americans were cleared to resume travel to tourist mainstays, and hopes rose that life would quickly return to normal. The swift spread of the Delta variant, however, has upended all of that wishful thinking and is offering a warning to the U.S. Fast becoming the dominant strain of COVID-19 across Europe, Delta is wreaking havoc in Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom. Spain alone reported nearly 44,000 cases on Tuesday, doubling the number recorded one week...

On Tuesday, Garland Favorito, the founder of the election integrity group VoterGA, provided proof that election fraud occurred in the November 2020 election. Favorito made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday morning and on the Bannon War Room. The voter integrity group found that the Fulton County Georgia recount included a 60% error reporting rate. VoterGA also found THOUSANDS of fraudulent Biden ballots. Most of the new allegations and evidence was based on a VoterGA data team’s analysis of Fulton’s November 2020 mail-in ballot images made public after petitioners won a court order on April 13th. President Trump:...
