Care to take a 360-degree look at what appear to be Samsung's latest foldable phones, smartwatches and earbuds? Well-known Twitter tipster Evan Blass is happy to oblige. Blass, whose Twitter handle is @evleaks, served up some delicious animated GIFs for Samsung fans Friday night, along with the simple note "#GalaxyUnpacked 11 August 2021." That would suggest, of course, that Samsung plans to tout the featured gadgets at an Unpacked event next month. The event would follow Unpacked shindigs that went down in April, March and January. The snarfable GIFs posted by Blass appear to show the rumored Galaxy Z Fold...

Webber is accused of arriving at the West Broadway gallery around 4 p.m. Friday and spray painting Daddy backwards on the wall. Webber, who famously ate a banana off the wall of an installation at Art Basel in Miami in 2019, was released without bail. He was barred from returning to the gallery at 462...

Customers across Colorado could see higher electric and natural gas bills if regulators approve proposals by utilities to recover costs from a winter storm that had them scrambling along with many other companies to buy enough fuel to make it through the freezing weather. During its meeting Wednesday, the Colorado Public Utilities Commission will consider the next steps after receiving applications from Xcel Energy-Colorado and Black Hills Energy, which have proposed spreading out the expense for customers over at least a year. The PUC is reviewing how utilities prepared for the weather in February. The frigid weather that gripped the...

Vice President Kamala Harris was decried for saying that some voter identification laws make it "almost impossible" for rural voters at the ballot box, with critics suggesting she doesn't think rural citizens have the wherewithal to use a copy machine. **SNIP** "There are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't — there's no Kinko's, there's no Office Max near them," Harris said. "People have to understand that when we're talking about voter ID laws, be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they...

Fran Finnegan was on vacation in New York just before the Fourth of July weekend when he received a disturbing text message from one of his customers: How come his website was down? Finnegan quickly searched out a computer to remotely examine his site, which provides access to millions of documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. There he discovered a disaster unfolding in front of his eyes in real time. Hackers had breached his site’s security and had taken over. He watched helplessly as they encrypted all his files, placing them beyond reach. “As soon as I could,...

This is the BiWeekly Prepper Thread for all things prepping. In these Strange Days, it's not a bad idea to have a little set back. Or a lot. I think we all saw empty shelves last year. We didn't go without though. Since I'm a prepper, I stocked up on TP and food and even bought a small freezer for meat when I saw empty shelves in Italy. My wife no longer thinks my prepping mentality is a little wacky, 20 years later. This year is turning out to be the year of systems hacking. Extreme weather events can happen most...

CNN medical contributor Dr. Leana Wen suggested Saturday that life needs to be "hard" for Americans who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine and individuals who refuse to get shots should perhaps face weekly testings. "It needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated," Wen, the former Planned Parenthood president, said. "Right now, it's kind of the opposite." Unvaccinated people, she fretted, can at the moment go about their lives as normal without any consequence.

An inmate thought to have ties with the Russian mob who managed to escape from a floating jail in New York has been caught 12 hours after he escaped. David Mordukhaev's prison break occured early on Saturday morning just hours after suspicious federal investigators had called the Vernon C. Bain Correctional Facility to check on him at around 1am. At the time, officials were informed that Mordukhaev, 30, was indeed still inside his cell. When a second call was placed at 4.30am, Mordukhaev was nowhere to be found. Only his prison clothes remained. The timeline of his escape remains murky...

Explanation: On July 8th early morning risers saw Mercury near an old Moon low on the eastern horizon. On that date bright planet, faint glow of lunar night side, and sunlit crescent were captured in this predawn skyscape from Tenerife's Teide National Park in the Canary Islands. Never far from the Sun in planet Earth's sky, the fleeting inner planet shines near its brightest in the morning twilight scene. Mercury lies just below the zeta star of the constellation Taurus, Zeta Tauri, near the tip of the celestial bull's horn. Of course the Moon's ashen glow is earthshine, earthlight reflected...

The Biden Administration has finalized extreme action for unvaccinated Americans due to the large number resisting vaccination. Initial door to door contacts in several states have not only resulted in no additional vaccinations but in volunteers being mocked, shamed and their intelligence and ancestry questioned. Sec. of HHS Becerra was outraged by the treatment of his volunteers. He stated that the government has the right to demand that all citizens be vaccinated and it is considered unpatriotic or even treasonous to remain unvaccinated. Since the door to door campaign and common sense vaccination pleas were not heeded by the resisters,...

Earlier this week, National File obtained exclusive footage and photos of the assault on the doors of the Capitol building leading to the inaugural stage, depicting individuals who were potentially working alongside or for the FBI, local police, or federal law enforcement observing, instigating, and participating in the violence on January 6. One man, identified by a left wing activist as David Dempsey, who Proud Boys Chairman Enrique Tarrio told National File is not a member of the Proud Boys and was rejected for his history of violent acts, was captured on video appearing to assault law enforcement and kick...

The murder of a 13-year-old in Vienna, for which four Afghan asylum seekers are said to be responsible, poses a dilemma for feminists: Should there be sympathy for a girl who, according to the current state of the investigation, was drugged with up to eleven ecstasy tablets, raped several times and killed or outrage over "racist reporting"? VIENNA.. The Wiener Einsatzgruppe Feminist Alarmabteilung (Wefa) decided on the latter. Around 20 hooded Wefa women stormed the rooms of the news portal oe24.at in the Austrian capital on Wednesday and attacked the employees. On handouts, the feminists complained that reports of the...

Political analysts predict Trump will not make an endorsement at all in the important 2021 election battle between Democrat Phil Murphy and establishment Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli. Ciattarelli and his campaign insiders have never been fans of Trump. Ciattarelli called Trump a “Charlatan who was unfit to be President” and even said the former President was an embarrassment to America.

Originally built to speed up calculations, a machine-learning system is now making shocking progress at the frontiers of experimental quantum physicsQuantum physicist Mario Krenn remembers sitting in a café in Vienna in early 2016, poring over computer printouts, trying to make sense of what MELVIN had found. MELVIN was a machine-learning algorithm Krenn had built, a kind of artificial intelligence. Its job was to mix and match the building blocks of standard quantum experiments and find solutions to new problems. And it did find many interesting ones. But there was one that made no sense. “The first thing I thought...

The Populist Movement is talking over the GOP one committeeman position at a time, and that is good news to Dan Schultz, who has made it his life’s mission to spread a call to action to others, that if they want to save the Republic and elect more people like Donald J. Trump to represent them, they need to join the GOP and become a precinct leader. Now he has proof that he is on the right track. “One of my political maxims: When RINOs get outnumbered by conservatives on any given Party committee, they usually quit. And it just...
