Rep. Ted Budd says former President Trump’s endorsement of his 2022 marketing campaign for Senate in North Carolina “actually clarified issues” within the battle for the Republican nomination.
The previous president made headlines a month in the past when he endorsed Budd as he gave the keynote handle on the North Carolina GOP conference. Budd, who was first elected to Congress in 2016, is going through off in opposition to former Gov. Pat McCrory and former Rep. Mark Walker for the Republican nomination within the race to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Richard Burr in the important thing battleground state.

Trump endorsed Budd moments after his daughter-in-law Lara Trump introduced that she wouldn’t run for the Senate in her native state of North Carolina.
“Instantly thereafter folks had been sending in donations. I feel it clarified issues,” Budd mentioned in an interview with Fox Information on Friday, minutes earlier than his speech on the Conservative Political Motion Convention (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas.
Budd mentioned that till Lara Trump’s announcement, “lots of people had been holding off on supporting any candidates.”

Budd looks like a good candidate, much better than what NC currently has as Senators, Tillis and Burr.
WE have to stop electing Bush League Republicans.
Trump has to stop endorsing them.
Rubio and Hoeven have voted for amnesty.
Rubio is GOPe all the way and yet Trump endorses him. Surely there is someone better.

I’m afraid Trump still hasn’t learned his lesson. Many of those he endorsed and hired during his presidency later betrayed him. But Rubio blatantly betrayed him BEFORE the endorsement, and yet ...

I don’t know what draw Rubio has, but Rush was attracted to him also, even after Rubio’s push for W’s disastrous Amnesty plan (something that Rush fought full-tilt)...maybe it’s a Florida thing?
