In November 2020, over 80% of Marin County, California, residents voted for Joe Biden. This was to be expected. In 2018, 64% of Marin’s residents voted for Gavin Newsom. Only 12% voted for John Cox, the Republican candidate. Another 8% of votes went to yet another Democrat. Now that Marinites have gotten their solid Democrat governance, though, they’re not happy with one of the main Democrat goals: Turning expensive suburbs into densely populated urban areas. Welcome to the new NIMBYs (“Not in my back yard”). Marin County is one of the wealthiest areas in America, coming in at number 13...

Kamala Harris, who's Joe Biden's border surge czar focused on "root causes" very specifically in Central America, is finally going to the border.According to Fox News:Vice President Kamala Harris is set to visit the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, the White House confirmed, amid mounting criticism from both Republicans and some Democrats for not yet doing so, following her appointment by President Biden to handle the "root causes" of migration. Obviously, she's doing so because President Trump has announced that he will be touring the border with Texas's Gov. Greg Abbott, which would be about the only thing that could explain...

It's The Great Reset. It's the New World Order. It's the End Times. It's likely all of these things and more, and that's not hyperbole. Ivermectin is all the evidence we need that the agenda is against us all. =============================================================================== Ivermectin saves lives. It is so effective against Covid-19, particularly in the early stages of the disease, that one could argue an effective and safe vaccine wouldn’t be necessary, let alone these experimental injections being passed off as vaccines. And therein lies the rub. If a cheap and readily available drug is enough to fight Covid-19 and diffuse the multi-billion...

A run-of-the-mill Senate Judiciary Committee hearing became bad-tempered Wednesday, with Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) accusing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) of “mansplaining” after he referenced her in a question to a nominee about the doctrine of judicial originalism. During the hearing to consider U.S. District Judge Gustavo Gelpi’s nomination to the First Circuit Court of Appeals, Cruz told the nominee that Hirono had stated “that you refused to commit to originalism because originalism would prevent [case] outcomes that she supports … she doesn’t want judges who will follow the original understanding of the Constitution.”

In the event that a group of U.S. senators cannot agree on committing enough money to a bipartisan infrastructure plan, Democrats are reportedly considering a $6 trillion plan of their own. It would probably be best described as a package full of progressive items wrapped in magical thinking paper. Most people would consider $6 trillion a lot of money to drop on infrastructure. That's because most of us still have an outdated notion of what infrastructure is. In fact, for most people, the word infrastructure conjures up images of roads, bridges, dams and waterways. However, as we've discovered during the...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Britney Spears asked a judge Wednesday to end the court conservatorship that has controlled her life and money since 2008. The dramatic request at a Los Angeles hearing came with her first words in open court in the conservatorship during its 13-year existence. Spears called the conservatorship “abusive,” and condemned her father and the others who have controlled it. “I want to end this conservatorship without being evaluated,” Spears said by phone in a long, emotional and sometimes profane speech, in which she condemned the legal arrangement and her father, who has controlled it for most...

Scott, a career agent, was appointed chief in January 2020 and enthusiastically embraced then-President Donald Trump's policies ================================================================================== File - Then-President Donald Trump speaks with Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott in San Luis, Arizona, on June 23, 2020. ================================================================================== The chief of the U.S. Border Patrol was forced out of his job Wednesday, after less than two years in a position that lies in the crosshairs of polarizing political debate. Rodney Scott wrote to agents that he will be reassigned, saying he “will continue working hard to support you over the next several weeks to ensure a smooth transition.” Scott...

The Bible makes it clear that there is a fear of the Lord that every believer is to cultivate. True fear of God includes awe and respect, but it goes much further than that. David tells us, “An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes” (Psalm 36:1, NKJV). David is saying, “When I see somebody indulging in evil, my heart tells me that such a person has no fear of God. He doesn’t acknowledge the truth about sin or about God’s call to holiness.” Some may try to...

“Then these commissioners and satraps came by agreement to the king and spoke to him as follows: ‘King Darius, live forever! All the commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the high officials and the governors have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who makes a petition to any god or man besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be cast into the lions’ den. Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document so that it may not be changed, according to the law of the...

It's shameful that it took so long to declare a national holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. But the nation's first official Juneteenth holiday weekend got off to an inauspicious start, to say the very least. CNN reported gun violence in multiple locations, including my own small town of Granger, Indiana. My teenage son works at the family-owned grocery store in the same little shopping center where five people were shot (one fatally) at a "Juneteenth Summer Bash" party held at a tavern. When I dropped him off at work the next morning, the parking...

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed three education bills Tuesday that direct how civics is taught in Florida public schools and universities, including one bill that seeks to assess "viewpoint diversity" on college campuses.

Joseph Bolanos was a pillar of his community. President of his Upper West Side block association for the past 23 years, he looked out for his neighbors during the pandemic. He dropped off masks and kept extra heaters in his rent-controlled apartment for seniors. He raised morale with a weekly street dance to show his support for essential workers. A Red Cross volunteer after the 9/11 attacks, the 69-year-old security consultant once received a police commendation for heroism after saving a woman from being mugged. Unmarried, and caring for his 94-year-old mother, he was a well-loved character in the quiet...

This week, the Democrats' bill to federalize our elections, S.1, failed in the U.S. Senate. Thanks to the filibuster, the bill fell short of its needed sixty-vote threshold. The filibuster stopped a partisan power grab that was designed to protect the Democrats' majority. S.1 was a radical bill that would have made our elections less secure, and made it easier to commit voter fraud. It even would have even banned popular voter ID laws. We should all be thankful for Sen. Joe Manchin and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema for resisting calls from the radical left to eliminate the filibuster. Without them,...

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – A parking lot hit-and-run crash exploded into a crowbar attack and then a gun battle in Carmichael on Monday. In the end, four people were attacked and one of them died. This bizarre incident consisted of two different crime scenes: one was a grocery store parking lot, and the other was a Carmichael Elks Lodge facility. That’s where, deputies say, the wife of one of the victims brought things to an end. Dispatch audio described a man of a man in a black pickup truck who drove erratically over sidewalks and barriers A witness tried to help...

About 36 million families can expect to receive some extra cash beginning on July 15, when the IRS will start distributing the expanded child tax credit. Eligible families will receive up to $1,800 in cash per child through December, part of the American Rescue Plan that President Biden signed into law in March. The $1.9 trillion relief bill boosted the child tax credit – previously worth up to $2,000 for every child under the age of 17 – to up to $3,600 for every child under the age of 6 and $3,000 for every child ages 6 to 17.

Not a day passes without mothers and fathers rebelling against left-wing indoctrination of their children at school. Like magma erupting through the Earth’s crust, superheated parental anger is cracking the natural disinclination of ordinary people to speak up on controversial issues. Videos of parents confronting an education establishment that has been entirely captured by the radical Left are going viral so often that they’ve become a new social media genre, as Max Eden noted in the Washington Examiner magazine. This is a counterrevolution that might topple the edifice of left-wing lies about our culture and our country. To switch metaphors,...

As the withdrawal of Christian values from the formation of public policy has accelerated, the religion of progressive secularism has rushed in to fill the gap. It is to this religion Biden and the Democratic Party have pledged their devotion. It is on the bases of the religion of progressivism they form public policy, domestic and foreign. Biden certainly demonstrates the symbolic and real embodiment of the progressive idea of the radical separation of church and state. According to radical progressives, Christianity, including Catholicism, is to play no part in public policy. Catholicism; indeed, Christianity in general, is to be...

Major League Baseball teams have been celebrating “Pride Month” via Pride Nights at ballparks across the Majors. June is Pride Month, in case you’ve missed the hype. Outdoing itself, the MLB is partying “all season long.” One wonders why there needs to be a month of any celebration. Should October be refashioned as “Halloween Month?” Is there an “Irish Month,” which St. Patrick’s Day is the capstone? And why limit Groundhog Day to a day? Yet gay pride is now LGBTQ+ (the plus is currently optional) pride because being homosexual isn’t enough. Every sexual variant not heterosexual and practiced by...
