Well I tried to migrate away from GV as a free service for my husband's micro business. I was annoyed with the lack of support and that occasional wonky issues would crop up (having to do with ring tones; all settings were perfect on my android) that I would research and resolve. Obviously having to use the Google cabal wasn't too thrilling either. I ported to Ooma. Here are the issues with Ooma: 1. Ooma Telo only supports one POTS port (not really an issue for me any more since I have an extra phone line as I now use...

My adopted state of Virginia has grown increasingly blue over the past few decades. Once a predictably red state, the Old Dominion voted for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden, and Democrats recently took both the Senate and the House of Delegates. But even with the population in the blue Washington, D.C., suburbs of Northern Virginia increasing, Republican Glenn Youngkin has a decent chance of winning the governor’s race this upcoming November.Youngkin, a businessman, is faring surprisingly well against former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-Va.), who is running for re-election after the constitutionally mandated four-year hiatus between terms. In the...

WASHINGTON, Friday, June 21. The Navy Department has completed its comparison of the bids offered for the construction of the new gun-boats. Upon an examination of the bids, it is ascertained that such a disparity exists as to render it impossible to give out the building of the entire number wanted at prices within the limits fixed by the Department. It has, therefore, been determined to fix upon a standard price, and to invite contractors to build them at that sum. It is presumed that all wanted by the Government will be put afloat for the price fixed upon. It...

Thousands of dogs will be murdered and eaten over 10 days at the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival in Guangxi. The festival goes on despite outcries from campaigners who say it is cruelty to animals and a public health risk. The Yulin festival first launched in 2010 where as many as 15,000 dogs were killed. Chinese and international pressure has seen this figure reduce to around 3,000 dogs. However, it is estimated that around 10 to 20 million dogs are slaughtered in China every year.

It’s all but impossible to miss. LGBTQ pride is being pushed on us from every angle and on an endless array of websites. The Rotten Tomatoes movie review site is celebrating the “200 Best LGBTQ+ Movies of All Time.” (Yes, the best 200. I can remember when the first gay kiss on TV caused a massive uproar.) Amazon points to a constant stream of gay-themed programming along with gay-themed publications. As an Amazon website announced, “Amazon enters June bursting ‘with Pride.’” Indeed, we are told, “Pride Month is all about celebrating love and equality, and today, glamazon, Amazon’s LGBTQIA+ affinity...

It’s exceptionally sad to make this comparison, but some of the similarities are striking. Consider these elements of Spain’s situation in 1936 in the light of recent American history.1) After exceptional violence from the left in the leadup to the general elections, big questions were raised after an exceptionally close result. Antony Beevor in his classic book, The Battle for Spain: The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939, said that Spain’s election was decided by 150,000 votes out of 10 million voters. While Biden’s popular vote margin was larger, his margin of victory in several swing states was very small, and audits...

Kelly Tshibaka, the GOP Senate candidate challenging Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) in next year’s senate race in Alaska, has launched a new television advertisement on Tuesday to hype former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of her campaign. Tshibaka, the former commissioner of Alaska’a Department of Administration in Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s administration, just became one of the highest profile candidates in America this week with Trump’s endorsement. This new ad, hitting airwaves in Alaska Tuesday on television, was provided exclusively to Breitbart News by her campaign ahead of its public release. It comes with a website hyping the ad and endorsement as...

Based on official data from Open VAERS and the CDC, 5,993 Americans have died out of 146,171,792 Americans who are fully vaccinated as of June 11. This corresponds to a ratio of about four deaths out of 100,000 who are fully vaccinated. When VAERS death rates are compared with COVID-19 vaccination rates from December to June, and odd pattern emerges: Vaccine-related deaths decline just as vaccination rates reach their peak in April (Graph 1). This implies that the VAERS death rate started at 18 per 100,000 on the 1st of February, then dropped to around 3.1 per 100,000 on the 1st...

Here’s some advice for Buck and Clay on their new job.Buck Sexton and Clay Travis, the guys who took over for Rush Limbaugh. This is some advice for them.First, Rush is dead. I know, it’s sad. We’re all sad. We all miss him. He did a great show. He was our radio friend. But he was Rush Limbaugh, not Jesus Christ, and it’s time to move on.No more theme song, no more archived audio, no more voice from the grave. Let the great man rest, and stand on your own two feet.On day one, you sounded like fill-ins, like somebody brought in...

Older adults who use certain blood pressure drugs may retain more of their memory skills as they age, a new study suggests. Researchers found the benefit among older people taking medications that are allowed past the "blood-brain barrier," which is a border of specialized cells that prevents toxic substances from crossing into the brain. Those drugs include certain ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) — two major classes of blood pressure medication. Among nearly 12,900 study patients, those taking the brain-penetrating medications showed less memory loss over three years, versus people on blood pressure drugs that cannot cross...

Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates the day the last slaves in the U.S. were formally freed hardly seems like it should be controversial. But when a bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday passed the House of Representatives last week, progressives were quick to enlist the holiday to support their contention that celebrating America is celebrating racism, since blacks have not historically been given the same rights as whites in this country. But conservatives, just as quickly, let them adopt the holiday. Juneteenth celebrates a significant step toward racial equality in America, something many conservatives undoubtedly find worth celebrating. Of...

During an interview with The New York Times “Sway” podcast released on Monday, White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said there is an “organized effort” to attach the truth, such as “people who think that January 6 was a friendly visit to the gift shop at the Capitol.” And people “who absolutely have no idea what they’re talking about with virology are talking about furin cleavage sites,” which have been cited to argue in favor of the lab leak theory. Fauci said, [relevant remarks begin around 22:50] “I know several of my colleagues are now reticent to talk...

Liberal tech giant Amazon likes promoting glowing reviews of its company from progressive groups that it funds. Jeff Bezos-owned Amazon put out a press release June 2 boasting how it was ranked the “No. 1 investor in America” by the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI). The presser celebrated how “[f]or the second year in a row, Amazon placed first on PPI’s Investment Heroes list.” One problem: Amazon funds the PPI. Fast Company reported in 2019 that “Facebook, Google, and Amazon all donated last year to the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), a pro-business think tank that regularly sponsors briefings for Democratic elected...

On this date in 1669, a French Huguenot agent was publicly broken on the wheel in Paris. On the dangerous political chessboard of 17th century Europe, the allegiance of Restoration England — governed once again by a dynasty with known Catholic sympathies — was a great prize for contending Catholic and Protestant powers on the mainland.* While Charles II of England and the Catholic Louis XIV of France maneuvered towards a secret accord that would lead to devastating war against the Protestant Netherlands, Roux de Marsilly was busy in London trying to enlist England into a Protestant alliance against France....

Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Monday that the US State Department including American embassies around the world will fly the 'Progress Flag,' also known as the Pride Flag, in honor of Pride month traditionally celebrated in around the world in June. Blinken made the comments during an event discussing issues concerning the LBGTQ community hosted by the Atlantic Council, a think tank that focuses on foreign policy. During the program, he was...

Donoho said she and several other parents had been "talking to the school board about lifting some of these mask requirements since fall of last year." After her son's diagnosis, she helped organize the mask test with the University of Florida lab. The reports from the lab found multiple, "quite dangerous" bacteria samples in the tested masks, among them streptococcus pneumoniae, mycobacterium tuberculosis, staphylococcus aureus, and numerous others. In some cases, the lab technicians pointedly underscored the dangers presented by the bacteria. Noting the presence of neisseria meningitidis in the masks, the technicians wrote that the bacterium "causes meningitis and...

The far-left Star-Tribune reports the number of gunshot victims in Democrat-run Minneapolis is up 90 percent over last year. That is not a typo. Ninety percent. Ninety, as in nine-oh. My favorite part of the Star-Tribune report comes in the form of just two words: “solutions evasive.” Oh, yeah, this is a really tough nut to crack. Let’s see if we can puzzle this brain-twister out… ELITE JOURNALIST: Let’s see, let’s see… Okay, so this year, shooting victims are up 90 percent over last year. Which means that last year there were 90 percent fewer shooting victims. *taps chin with...
