Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Monday that the US State Department including American embassies around the world will fly the 'Progress Flag,' also known as the Pride Flag, in honor of Pride month traditionally celebrated in around the world in June. Blinken made the comments during an event discussing issues concerning the LBGTQ community hosted by the Atlantic Council, a think tank that focuses on foreign policy. During the program, he was asked if he will allow American embassies to fly Progress flags. "We’ve made that clear and we’ve given our chiefs of missions and ambassadors authority to do that."
The Secretary’s comments came two weeks after the Defense Department announced that it will not allow the Pride flag to be flown at installations under its purview, after the Biden administration reversed an order issued by former President Donald Trump's then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on flying the Pride flag at some United States embassies, including in India and Australia.
Overturning the Trump-era policy on the matter, Foreign Policy reported in April that Blinken authorized diplomats to fly the Pride flag before May 17, which marks the international day against homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia, and through June.
Pride flags were permitted the Obama administration, as long as they were smaller and flown beneath the American flag. Former President Donald Trump’s administration banned US embassies and consulates from flying the rainbow LGBT flags. Earlier this month, a leaked memo revealed that the Biden administration authorized the display of Black Lives Matter flags at state department buildings including embassies to commemorate the one-year anniversary of George Floyd's death that sparked outrage.
In response, Rep. Nicole Milliotakis (R-NY) introduced new legislation, dubbed the "Stars and Stripes Act" that would ban Black Lives Matter among other "political" flags, apart from the American flag, from flying at United States embassies.
Blinken said the Progress Flag would be flown between June 26 and 28 to "mark a couple of important turning points in our history for LGBTQI rights."
How does this not violate the Hatch Act?
Could the next Republican president instruct government agencies to fly the NRA flag or Susan B. Anthony banner?
Not everyplace celebrates it (or certainly on the aniversary of a mob run speakeasy riot).
But this is about politica agendas, not sovereignty or freedoms.
But will the Sodomite embassies also fly the Stars and Stripes?
It’s to let Americans and the world know that we are now under enemy control.
The left distorts language. It’s bad enough that they changed the meaning of the words gay and pride. Now they’re taking the word progress. Sex reassignment surgery is now sex confirmation surgery. The new meaning not only can be completely different from the original meaning, it can mean the opposite.
I’ll never understand why we cater to 2-3% of society like they’re 50%.
These are all political flags of politically organized causes that the federal government should not be taking sides on, because they are NOT representative of all Americans. On that score the federal government should be a neutral party in the “social” sense, which is all that flying the flags are, a “social” thing.

It amazes me where our (Read: democrat) priorities are these days. “Pride” is one of the seven deadly sins and is also a personal problem.
Because the intention is corruption of society. Divide and conquer stuff...
And if anyone pushes back (on men in women’s lockerrooms for example) we are told “there are more important issues to tackle at this time!”
I think April was Black History month, May was Women’s History month, and this is Gay Pride month. I’ve looked on my calendar but I can’t find White History month. Why is that?
Flying the pride flag will go over well in Saudi Arabia.

Certainly, the only flag that should be flown at a U.S. embassy is the U.S. flag. It may not represent everybody, but it comes a LOT closer than the other assorted “flags” that represent such small portions of our country.
