Federal Railroad Administration officials approved a Record of Decision Friday for the Environmental Impact Study for the tunnel project between New Jersey and New York, that’s part of the larger Gateway Project. That will allow rehabilitation of the existing 110-year-old tunnels currently used by 450-plus Amtrak and NJ Transit trains a day. The decision allows significant work to begin on a tunnel project that has been sought since October 2014 when an Amtrak engineering study that found the original 1910-era tunnels built by the Pennsylvania Railroad were on borrowed time. Flooding from Hurricane Sandy in October 2012 and the wear...

They’re young, hot and ready for war. Members of the Israel Defense Forces are posting “thirst traps” on TikTok amid the nation’s conflict with Hamas — and experts say it’s part of a larger strategy to garner support and spread nationalism as the social media masses flock to support Palestinians, Rolling Stone reported. The IDF, which is in the midst of a cease-fire with Hamas following a short war that left 13 Israelis and over 240 Palestinians dead, has long been social media-savvy with a strong online presence, but they’ve stepped up their game amid the latest round of conflict...

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everything is awful! That was the message of doom from CBS This Morning on Friday as the show’s hosts offered “dire” new warnings and that Earth is going to just get “worse and worse” as we spiral downward. Guest host Enrique Acevedo warned, “Our Eye on Earth coverage continues with a new warning about climate change that has potentially dire consequences.” Climate specialist Jeff Berardelli admitted that the “disturbing threshold” of a rise in 15. degrees Celsius was arbitrary. But he predicted doom: The intensity of these extreme weather events will pick up. We'll see compounded...

If you actually believed that emitting carbon into the atmosphere would literally mean the end of your life you would stop doing it. Absolutely. Not “offset” the damage, as opulent climate luminaries like Al Gore, John Kerry and Bill Gates all claim they are doing with carbon credits, but absolutely cease contributing to the damage. Rich progressives are always going to tell us they need to fly all over the world in order to save it. Similarly, they need big houses. President Obama bought a colossus on Martha’s Vineyard a few years ago. Not only does that baby juke the...

Friday on CNN’s “At This Hour,” former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) urged the GOP to “shun” the “conspiratorial fringe element of the party” if it wants to win elections moving forward. Flake, who has long been vocal about his disdain for former President Donald Trump, emphasized that Republicans should break from Trump and his supporters like Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and instead turn to someone like former House Speaker Paul Ryan.

You would think that during the worst Pandemic since the 1918 Spanish Flu life insurance companies would be hedging their bets to avoid major losses from Covid-19. I haven’t written a life policy for several years so I was wondering what was going on? I called one of the brokers I deal with that interacts with hundreds of big life insurers to get an inside look into how the Covid crisis has changed their business. Imagine my surprise when she said it was pretty much business as usual! Last year when the hysteria was just getting ramped up she did...

Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen predicted Friday on “The Raw Story Podcast” that indictments will be issued against senior leaders of the Trump Organization “within the next 30 to 60 days.” Cohen said, “I do truly believe that the wheels of justice turn slowly, but they are turning. I believe Trump, for the first time in his entire life, is going to be held responsible for his own dirty deeds. I believe that as a result of that, you are going to see the tentacles of this investigation move into each and every one of the kids, move...

Instead of cannabis plants they found a bank of about 100 computer units. The force said the cryptocurrency "mine" had effectively stolen thousands of pounds of electricity. Detectives said they were tipped off about lots of people visiting the unit throughout the day and a police drone picked up a lot of heat coming from the building. Sgt Jennifer Griffin said, given the signs, they had expected to find a cannabis farm.

LOS ANGELES, CA—Actor and WWE wrestler John Cena announced that he will soon be undergoing a controversial new spine implant surgery after being diagnosed with a tragic case of having no spine. The startling revelation that John Cena had no spine unfolded before the nation’s eyes this week when what appeared to be a strong, virile American male apologized to the communists in China for some stupid reason. Doctors at UCLA Medical Center cautioned the wrestler that a full spine implant is highly experimental and untested, since they have never seen such an extreme case that was as bad as...

Nevada Democrats are ramming through legislation to make last year’s chaotic “emergency” voting procedures permanent. On Wednesday, the Democrat-controlled General Assembly approved a measure that would legalize ballot harvesting and make universal mail-in voting a permanent fixture of elections, both changes that were initially implemented to be temporary last year. Assembly Bill 321, now moving on for consideration in the upper chamber, requires registered voters to opt out rather than opt in to receiving a mail-in ballot. The law sets up ballots to be sent out automatically as they were in the fall, where nearly all votes cast were by...

Senate Republicans on Friday blocked the creation of a bipartisan panel to study the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, refusing to back down on their opposition to the independent investigation. The Senate vote was 54-35 — short of the 60 votes needed to consider a House-passed bill Democrats and some moderate Republicans had called for a commission to probe the events leading up to and on Jan. 6, when hundreds of people, some of them supporters of President Donald Trump, stormed the Capitol, fighting with police, urging violence against lawmakers and delaying the formal certification of President Joe Biden's...

For a long time, the only foods that were “delivery foods” were pizza and American Chinese food. While American Chinese food delivery was largely taken on by independent restaurateurs, pizza delivery was backed by large companies like Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa John’s. Or, as we like to call them… ‘big pizza.’ Take a look at the history of these companies, and you’ll find that they depended on technology at every stage to make delivery timely and efficient. Before big pizza got into the delivery game in the ’80s, pies were wrapped in blankets and driven to customers in cars....
