The defense turned the tables this week in the Derek Chauvin case, getting the star prosecution witness, the police chief, to admit that the videos appear to show Chauvin kneeling on George Floyds' shoulder blade, not his neck. The prosecution has also paraded a bunch of police witnesses to say knee-on-neck has never been allowed as part of police training, except it most certainly was. Yet another police witness admitted that a knee to side-of-neck pin should render a person unconscious in ten seconds, yet Mr. Floyd famously resisted for nine minutes. Add to that autopsy showed bruises not on...

Phillip Adams, a former NFL cornerback who played six seasons in the league with six different teams, has reportedly been identified as the gunman who killed five people in South Carolina, including a prominent doctor, before turning the gun on himself. The shooting took place in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A source close to the investigation confirmed Adams’ identity to The Associated Press on Thursday. Adams’ parents lived near Rock Hill and the football player had been treated by the doctor at one point, the person told The AP.

For anyone thinking the Derek Chauvin trial for George Floyd’s death was an open and shut formality on the way to a guaranteed conviction… you’re going to want to sit down for this one. The prosecution’s case just hit a pretty significant snag. No, we don’t mean the evidence indicating Chauvin’s weight being between Floyd’s shoulders rather than across his neck, or the phrase ‘if you can talk, you can breathe’ that has come up in testimony. We mean a change in the official understanding of words exchanged between the police and Floyd during their encounter… an answer that, as...

The trial of Derek Chauvin grinds on. Currently, the prosecution is still putting on its case, but it may want to stop doing so before the court is forced to dismiss the case altogether. As Andrew Branca, at Legal Insurrection, explained after the eighth day of the trial, “once again, the defense weaponizes prosecution ‘expert’ witness against the prosecution case.” But if you want the full flavor of the madness in Minneapolis, you must read Ann Coulter’s case summary. A brief rundown here to orient you: George Floyd, a convicted violent felon, passed a fake $20 bill. When the police...

Dr. Robert Lesslie and his wife Barbara, along with their two grandchildren, were among five people killed in a shooting in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A former NFL player shot and killed a doctor, his wife and two grandchildren and one other person before turning the gun on himself in a horrifying scene at a South Carolina home, according to the Associated Press. Phillip Adams, who had stints with the Seahawks, 49ers, Raiders and Jets, opened fire at the home in Rock Hill late Wednesday afternoon, sources told the AP. Killed in the shooting was Dr. Robert Lesslie, 70, his...

The Now That’s What I Call… compilation series, which stretches all the way back to 1983, has always been commercially successful. Wildly, phenomenally so, in fact. There are dozens and dozens of these CDs. However, one such disc first released in June is getting some renewed attention because of its subject matter. Okay, fine. Dads love music, too. And yeah, dads can sometimes be all Homer Simpson about what they believe to be great music. But if we look at the tracklisting for this disc, I wonder how many of the included acts appreciate being lumped into a category that...

Selfish arrogant bastard. Lived in Key West in a big house provided by his well-to-do in-laws. 2nd wife was a home wrecker who he slapped. Spent an awful lot of time indulging in his manly whims-African safaris, marlin fishing and drinking like a fish with his friends. His talents allowed him to hit the big time and everyone wanted to rub elbows with him. Throughout the first episode he appeared obsessed with death and we all know how his selfish obsession turned out. We all have talents. He had too much of it for his own good. looking forward to...

Moderate Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) wrote Wednesday he would oppose any attempt of his party to “eliminate or weaken the filibuster” or abuse the scheme of reconciliation. “The filibuster is a critical tool to protecting that input and our democratic form of government. That is why I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt: There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster,” Manchin bluntly stated to the Washington Post.

Once again the defense weaponizes prosecution ‘expert’ witnesses against the prosecution case. Today’s testimony began with the continuation of the direct questioning by Prosecutor Schleiter of Sergeant Jody Stiger, of the Los Angeles Police Department, who has been retained by the state prosecutors as an expert witness on use-of-force tactics and policy. You’ll recall that the direct of Stiger began yesterday afternoon and ran for 30 minutes, until Judge Cahill decided to call it a day. That direct continued today for about another 45 minutes, before the witness was turned over to the defense. Here’s a leading indicator that state-paid...

Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey has outdone perhaps all of his peers in “woke” corporate America by delivering an unctuous and high-profile denunciation of Georgia’s new voter integrity law. It wasn’t enough simply to attack Georgia for its attempt to restore a modicum of election integrity — Quincy overtly lent Coke’s support to Democrats for an additional legislative power-grab. We want to be crystal clear and state unambiguously that we are disappointed in the outcome of the Georgia voting legislation. Throughout Georgia’s legislative session we provided feedback to members of both legislative chambers and political parties, opposing measures in the bills...

Blood clots are an extremely rare but serious side effect of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine, regulators announced on Wednesday. The benefits of AstraZeneca's vaccine still outweigh the risks, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in a press release. Still, the agency's safety committee said it's important to know the signs of a possible clot. A blood clot occurs when the blood thickens and forms a semi-solid mass. It can be a helpful response to stop bleeding in the case of injury, but these blockages can cause problems if they cut off blood flow to a vital area. Blood clots can cause...

With the help of law enforcement authorities, a government health agency of unelected officials has placed a barrier around a church in Alberta, Canada, effectively closing down the place of worship. GraceLife Church in Edmonton made headlines earlier this year after the church’s pastor, James Coates, was jailed for holding in-person worship services amid ongoing pandemic restrictions. As CBN News has reported, after spending a month behind bars for violating the government’s capacity mandates, Coates was released from jail on March 29.

Major League Baseball caved to a partisan Democratic Party operative when it moved the All-Star Game from Atlanta over the state’s new election integrity law. The culprit behind the behind-the-scenes pressure was former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, infamous for refusing to concede her race against current Governor Brian Kemp. The news, unsurprising for those who knew the MLB Commissioner’s decision was due to activist and corporate pressure, was confirmed by Fox News on Wednesday night. “Major League Baseball (MLB) commissioner Robert Manfred decided to move the All-Star Game on his own after holding extensive discussions with voting rights groups...

. . .You're not supposed to know things that God does not want you to know, and God obviously does not want you to know everything. This fact --- that there are some secrets that God does not want you to know --- is one major reason why "without faith it is impossible to please God." You must exercise faith because the truth is you will, for certain, live out your life in the dark regarding the answers to many of your questions "for now we see through a glass darkly." "Have faith in God." ___The Lord Jesus Mark 11:22...

The Biden administration was applauded Thursday by the U.N. agency for so-called Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, after it offered $250 million in funding while sidestepping a 2018 law that prevents U.S. taxpayer dollars from supporting the Palestinian Authority. “UNRWA could not be more pleased that once again we will partner with the United States to provide critical assistance to some of the most vulnerable refugees across the Middle East,” the agency’s commissioner general, Philippe Lazzarini, said in a statement seen by AFP. “The U.S. contribution comes at a critical moment, as we continue to adjust to the challenges the Covid-19 pandemic...
