A children's graphic novel from the immensely popular "Captain Underpants" series will no longer be found in library and book store shelves after the publisher deemed it to contain "passive racism." The book in question is 2010's "The Adventures of Ook and Gluk" by Dav Pilkey, who has apologized for the work saying it "contains harmful racial stereotypes" and is "wrong and harmful to my Asian readers." The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were 90% effective at preventing Covid-19 infections in real world conditions in a study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Monday. The study of 3,950 healthcare workers, first responders and other essential workers found that the risk of infection fell by 90% two weeks after participants got their second vaccine shot. The risk dropped by 80% two or more weeks after the first shot. The study was conducted between December 2020 and March 2021 and did not distinguish between the effectiveness of each vaccine.
