Democrats’ push for gun control in the House and Senate is a reminder that Jen Psaki used Twitter in 2020 to assert that gun registration is a way to get “mothers out to the polls.”

As long as banks can make loans, the Fed’s initial increase can finally increase the money supply many times over. The large final increase in the money supply should be inflationary. That wasn’t the case 10 years ago. From 2010 to 2018, the Dodd-Frank bill placed severe restrictions on bank lending, which reduced the multiplying effect. That could be the reason there was no inflationary impact. But parts of Dodd Frank were repealed in 2018, so now there should be a greater multiplying effect, likely contributing to inflation. Rising energy prices, a rapid growth in the money supply, huge government...

Dick Hoyt, who died Wednesday of heart failure at 80, was a perennial presence with son Rick, completing 32 Boston Marathons between 1980 and 2014. Through bitter cold, searing heat, and windblown rain, they were an inseparable and indomitable entry, running and rolling up and down the hills, always finishing and always with the son one second ahead of the father, as Rick enjoyed pointing out. “My favorite race,” Dick said. “My ears ring for two weeks afterward.”

An Illinois state senator who sponsored recently-signed legislation that will eliminate cash bail in the state by 2023 is outraged that a man who allegedly flashed a gun at him while driving only had to post $1,500 to get out of jail. “By him being released on bail, he’s free to do this again,” Sen. Elgie Sims of Chicago told the State-Journal Register. Yet just last month Sims tweeted, “money bond doesn’t guarantee public safety or someone’s appearance in court, it supports a system where freedom is based on the size of someone’s bank account. We’ve tried the failed tough...

A little-noticed peer-reviewed study published last October by a science and public health journal claims the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ignored federal laws and regulations when it changed how the government counts deaths from COVID-19, caused by the CCP virus, also known as the novel coronavirus. “All federal agencies are required to submit notification for data collection, publication, or analysis to the Federal Register BEFORE gaining approval from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OMB/OIRA) to ensure they are in compliance with the Information Quality Act (IQA) and the Paperwork...

A federal judge called for a landmark Supreme Court decision on freedom of the press and libel laws to be overturned in a fiery dissent decrying "bias against the Republican Party," blasting the near "one-party control" of legacy news media, slamming Silicon Valley's censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story, and warning that the current state of American media is "a threat to a viable democracy."

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Sunshine State won’t have any part in issuing vaccine passports, calling it a “bad idea.” “I just want to make very clear in Florida, we are not doing any vaccine passports,” DeSantis said. “All those experts said that it was a bad idea. I think it’s a bad idea and so that will not happen.” The Republican Governor added that people are free to choose their path when it comes to the vaccine, “but under no circumstances will the state be asking you to show proof of vaccination.”

In this first anniversary of the Fifteen Days to Flatten the Curve, I looked back to what SteynOnline was leading with one year ago:Is there nothing this virus can't do?'Deerfield Testicle Festival On Hold'The entire western world's testicular fortitude has been on hold ever since. Also from SteynOnline a year ago:A national tragedy is unfolding in Italy. Meanwhile, China has no new domestic infections and has re-opened Wuhan. Having successfully exported it to every other country, they're now the only nation without it. Hmm, that couldn't have gone any better had they planned it...~With all this bad news, we could...

"There's a lot of folks who think that, due to climate change and due to the globalization in general, it is inevitable that we’ll deal with more and more viruses like this," Dr. Fauci told Meet the Press. The "lot of folks" in question include the patron saint of the pandemic. In addition to appearing on every single news show on the planet, Fauci occasionally co-authors papers. But "Emerging Pandemic Diseases: How We Got to COVID-19" in the journal Cell is less of an academic paper and more of a survey and an advocacy editorial. It might not be all...

A lot of news stories breaking today, so let’s jump on a couple. “President” Biden fell down three times boarding Air Force One today. How soon before they have to equip the AF1 staircase with one of those elevator chairs? Cue Chevy Chase and an SNL sketch. More important: National Review has today—finally—succeeded in getting Michael Mann’s libel suit dismissed, after eight years of court battles that should have been ended early. Next: let’s see if NR can get some legal fees out of Mann. More women coming forth with allegations against Gov. Cuomo. This is starting to sound a...

New cards will require players to pay for donating to an animal shelter, failing to recycle the trash or not choosing to shop local. 'Covering topics like beauty contests, holiday funds, and life insurance, there is no denying the Monopoly game's Community Chest Cards are long overdue for a refresh,' Hasbro said in a statement. 'And, coming out of the tumultuous year of 2020, the term "community" has taken on a whole new meaning.' It is unclear if Hasbro will no longer sell versions of Monopoly with the traditional cards.

Satellite imagery shows significant progress on the construction of what is, by every indication, a massive new military heliport in China very close to the Taiwan Strait. Continued work on the facility, which is around a half a mile from the water's edge, only some 150 miles from Taiwan proper, and even closer to various islands that Taiwanese authorities control, comes amid a surge in charged rhetoric between officials in Beijing and their counterparts in both Taipei and Washington. This makes it strategically positioned to support any future operations to control the Strait or even invade Taiwan. Twitter user @detresfa_,...

Don’t get rid of your vaccination card just yet. Speaking on CNBC Friday morning, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy suggested that people should hold on to the cards as the state and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention consider ways to use them as proof of vaccination. “There are lots of different potential uses for that,” he said. “Whether it’s going to a sporting event, getting on a plane, etc. So hold on to it and again, we will first and foremost take our guidance from the CDC.”

Anti-Asian hate crimes is the new anti-racism crusade for the SJW wokedom. The latest this morning: An elderly woman who was attacked on Market Street in San Francisco Wednesday – the latest victim in a wave of attacks on Asians in the Bay Area – turned the tables on her assailant, leaving him with injuries that required a trip to the hospital. Xiao Zhen Xie candidly spoke with CBS San Francisco about the attack from her senior retirement home in the city,Good for her for hospitalizing her attacker (I'm actually a bit shocked that CBS news didn't make the suspect's...

Peaster Independent School District after Governor Abbott announced the end to state mask orders last week. Abbott announced the end to state mask orders last week. The rural school district in Parker County, northwest of Weatherford, never made masks an issue for students or staff this school year. Wear one, or don’t. It has not distanced students inside classroom. No one has been placed into a mandatory quarantine. Homecoming happened on schedule. The pancake dinner, fall festival, sports and concerts all took place as planned. The result, according to Superintendent Lance Johnson, has been a higher enrollment and average daily...

Jesus warned that in the last generation "many false prophets will arise and mislead many [and] because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold." "Wickedness" involves a wide spectrum of secondary behaviors as shown in Romans 1:18-32 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5, but one specific category of sin is pinpointed by God throughout the Bible as the gateway to widespread apostasy that triggers His wrath: extreme sexual deviance, particularly male homosexuality. My Scripture-based argument in support of that assertion is fully detailed in my book "The Petros Prophecy: Simon Peter's Prophetic Warning About the Heresy of...
