During an interview aired on Thursday’s “MSNBC Live,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted to concerns that corporations will raise prices if taxes on corporations are increased by stating that President Joe Biden believes people “know that corporations do not need to raise the cost of goods in order to pay more taxes and pay more of their fair share.” Host Hallie Jackson asked, “Of course, he could only do so much if corporations end up raising prices on things if they end up having a tax hike as well, right?

Certain members of the press want very much for the Hunter Biden laptop story to be the work of the Russians, even despite assessments from the intelligence community in the United States that say otherwise. A smattering of journalists and commentators falsely claimed this week that a recently unclassified report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence proves the laptop story was Russian disinformation. The report says no such thing. “In case you’re still wondering if the Hunter Biden laptop story came from the Kremlin,” Defense One reporter Patrick Tucker said Tuesday in a since-deleted tweet, “ODNI’s new...

Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi rebuked U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan during a meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, on Thursday, citing the Black Lives Matter movement on U.S. human rights abuses. The summit was the first bilateral meeting between the two countries under President Joe Biden, who has traditionally been soft on Beijing, and has struggled to balance a desire to break with Trump’s tough policies with the need for a strong stance. Ahead of the meeting, the White House boasted that it had successfully insisted that the summit happen on home soil. Press Secretary...

We should all be ready to do our duty as American citizens and, when duty calls, each of us should embrace our inner Rooftop Korean. The year was 1992, 27 years ago right about now, and the city was Los Angeles. Several police officers who got into a videotaped brawl with a petty criminal named Rodney King were acquitted of beating him up. The city exploded. It was chaos. ---SNIP--- See, the dirty little secret of civilization is that it’s designed to maintain order when 99.9% of folks are orderly. But, say, if just 2% of folks stop playing by...

The radical veep’s virtual apology tour begins. Vice President Kamala Devi Harris attacked her own country as violent and racist when she appeared on the world stage with Ireland’s prime minister this week. She kicked off a St. Patrick’s Day online summit by assailing America in what can be seen as a tribute of sorts to Barack Obama, a mentor of hers who pioneered the globetrotting national self-denunciation when he was president. Before much was known about a deadly shooting spree at Asian spas in the Atlanta area, Harris seditiously declared on the world stage that it was a hate...

There aren't a lot of people who tell the truth about voting rules. As the Senate takes up the bill the House just passed to drastically amend the rules that govern our elections, it seems like a good time to step back and examine what's really going on. For some reason, the truth is missing from almost all the reporting, both in the liberal press and in conservative media. Both Republicans and Democrats approach debates over the rules and systems for our elections with the same fundamental belief: Making voting easy helps Democrats, and making voting harder helps Republicans. This...

The Jesuit priest who presided over an inaugural Mass for President Joe Biden is under investigation for unspecified allegations and is on leave from his position as president of Santa Clara University in Northern California, according to a statement from the college's board of trustees. Rev. Kevin O'Brien allegedly “exhibited behaviors in adult settings, consisting primarily of conversations, which may be inconsistent with established Jesuit protocols and boundaries,” according to the statement by John M. Sobrato, the board chairman. O'Brien gave the service at Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, one of the most prominent Catholic churches in Washington, in...

Asian Americans are flocking to gun stores to arm themselves for self-defense amid the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes. Forbes spoke to Jimmy Gong, owner of Jimmy’s Sport Shop in Mineola, New York, and he said, “There are more Asians being introduced to firearms. Before, there was never gun culture in the Asian community. But after the pandemic and all the hate crime going on, there are more Asians buying guns to defend themselves.” Gong noted his business doubled during the era of coronavirus, and half of his customer base is comprised of Asian Americans. Forbes points to findings from...

Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce the the 80 million vote man! Oh yes, by all means, let’s have Joey, the most dubiously elected man in U.S. Presidential history debate Vladimir Putin live. That should be…classic. Why is it this presidency seems more like an old SNL skit than history in the making?Ask President Carter: "Just remember you are a living organism on planet Earth…"Tom Brokaw Pre-tapes:"Gerald Ford shot dead today at the senseless age of 83."Or, closer to the truth, Super Bass-O-Matic:“Mmmm - That’s Good Bass!”Posted from: MOTUS A.D.

He simply acknowledged a fact A strange characteristic of progressive cancel culture is that, quite often, those targeted by outrage mobs are not especially conservative. Rather, they are liberals who buck the trend of uniformity by expressing an opinion that doesn't fall completely in line with the progressive orthodoxy. Such is the case with Jesse Singal, a freelance journalist whose work has been featured in left-of-center publications such as New York Magazine and The Atlantic. In recent years, Singal has faced numerous and visceral attacks on his character and reputation from a cacophony of liberal, pro-transgender voices. His crime: Daring...

He only thinks about the Coronavirus. This is sort of like a politician saying they are going to let the generals in the field make the decisions. Nonsense! Immunologists need political guidance just like generals need to get their strategy from the top. Every expert is an idiot, without an elected politician to put...

The political class, the big players in the entertainment industry and the media are all engaged in a massive, collaborative effort to destroy America. And they're doing it with sex and lies.First, the sex.Last September, I wrote a critique of those in the media defending “Cuties,” an award-winning film on Netflix that featured prepubescent girls twerking in tight, revealing costumes. The defense, we were told, was that this film was intended to start a “conversation” about the “sexualization” of girls in contemporary society. Criticism of the film was hypocritical and specious, the argument went, because adult women -- like Cardi...

Before the pandemic, Circus Harmony in St. Louis performed about 700 shows a year, mostly in an indoor ring in the City Museum, a civic institution that can perhaps best (though still inaccurately) be described as an interactive art installation. The fact that the Circus Harmony performers are between eight and 18 years old does not diminish their amazing feats in the slightest. They turn backflips across the ring. They contort themselves into impossible positions. They do stunts on unicycles. They walk across high wires. They juggle balls and clubs. They hang by their toes from aerial silks and rings....

Fred Wellman, whose previous workplace was described as 'definition of a toxic work environment,' tasked with getting 'house in order' at scandal-plagued PAC In January, the political consultant Fred Wellman parachuted in to save the scandal-plagued Lincoln Project, taking over as executive director. He had filed for bankruptcy just five months earlier, citing hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid liabilities, according to records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. A longtime associate of Lincoln Project cofounder Steve Schmidt, Wellman joined the Lincoln Project in July 2020 as a senior adviser for veterans affairs and was promoted to executive director...

...Arguably the most interesting part of today’s proceedings happened in the last seven minutes or so before the court recessed for the day. That’s when the prosecution complained about some informal conduct by the defense counsel, only to find itself scolded by Judge Cahill, who then fairly stormed out of the court room. I’ll come back to that in just a moment, along with video of the event. As a brief summary of the substantive parts of the day, however, the afternoon saw four prospective jurors subject to voir dire. The first of the afternoon’s prospective jurors, #90, was rather...

resident Joe Biden's handlers are still shielding him from full-blown news conferences with reporters, but they let him talk directly with Chinese President and Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping? Ye gods! What were they thinking, letting Biden talk to Xi Jinping? Xi Jinping wants to eat our lunch, the president said after talking to the communist leader in February. "If we don't get moving, they are going to eat our lunch," Biden said. Yet a couple of years ago, Biden insisted that China would never be able to eat our lunch. "China is going to eat our lunch? Come...

The contract starts in 2023 and runs through 2033. The NFL also signed deals with CBS, ESPN/ABC and Fox. CBS, Fox and NBC each will televise three upcoming Super Bowls as part of the agreement. ESPN/ABC will televise the Super Bowl in 2026 and 2030. "These...

The Feds attempt to take over the states' tax policies. Hidden away in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the horribly misnamed “COVID relief” giveaway law signed by President Biden, is a curious provision that prohibits states from using any of the federal funds allocated to provide tax reductions to individuals or businesses. This provision, according to the New York Times, was slipped into the legislation at the last minute. It reads, in pertinent part, “A State or territory shall not use the funds provided… to either directly or indirectly offset a reduction in the net tax revenue of...

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is being sued by one of the nation's only black-owned investment firms, which alleges he has failed to address years of racist proprietary theft that began before Murphy took office. Murphy is named in an amended lawsuit filed by Blueprint Capital Advisers that levels broad charges of "blatant, aggressive, and unapologetic racist abuse" from New Jersey state government. Blueprint Capital claims that New Jersey "fraudulently misappropriated a proprietary investment program BCA had developed" and delivered it to another investment firm, BlackRock Alternative Advisers. The suit alleges that Blueprint developed an investment model it called "FAIR...
