As President Joe Biden constructs his new administration, individuals from the Obama administration are quietly resurfacing in positions of power. Some of these people are well-known, others lesser so. But they all played critical roles at various times during the Obama administration. Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser and now the “top adviser to the president on domestic policy and related decisions,” has admitted to participating in the unmasking of members of the Trump transition team. Unmasking is the process in which a U.S. citizen’s identity is revealed from collected surveillance. Initially, Rice publicly denied the allegations, claiming that “I...

Doddery old Joe Biden isn't even trying to hide it anymore. His gaffes and garble are soaring to orbit. The faraway look in his eyes is growing dimmer. The public is noticing. He called himself a transition president. He presumably joked that he'd resign if he ever disagreed with Harris. But much sooner than anyone thought, a Hollywood style starlet build-up for Vice President Kamala Harris is beginning as if to prepare the public for his replacement.Start with this International Women's Day tweet from someone at the controls of the Twitter account of senile old Joe:I want every child to know...

Cruising fans were hit with another wave of cancellations on Tuesday as seven major cruise lines pushed back their restart dates in all or parts of the world. Perhaps the most notable announcement came from Royal Caribbean, the world’s largest cruise line, which extended its year-long halt to nearly all departures through early June. In doing...

The Biden administration on Tuesday stopped enforcing the 2019 "public charge" restrictions on green cards, unraveling the centerpiece of former President Donald Trump's efforts to restrict legal immigration. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said his department had halted the implementation of the 2019 "public charge" regulation following the reinstatement of a federal court order blocking the Trump-era policy. Earlier on Tuesday, the Justice Department notified courts across the country, including the Supreme Court, that it would no longer defend the Trump administration's public charge regulation. Advocates had strongly denounced the policy, which granted U.S. officials broader discretion to reject green...

Yes, it’s Chicken Hump Day again. Now about those cages, you know, the ones Obama built to hold unaccompanied “minors” on the border back in 2014.Well, we’re not talking about them…again. Nor are we talking about anything else border related because, um, Biden is “president” now? Psaki Says ‘No Need to Put Labels’ on ‘Challenging’ Situation at US-Mexico BorderBut of course there’s no reason to slap a label on it, labels are only for losers, not robust regimes administrations like Joey’s. And there’s no need to talk about “kids in cages” either. Everyone knows that was Trump’s doing. And labels are...

Can’t expect more from the Biden administration. Ned Price, the State Department spokesman, held a press briefing on March 1 in which he set out the Biden Administration’s hopes for the Middle East. Here’s a report: “US: Israel should avoid unilateral steps with Palestinians,” Israel Hayom, March 2, 2021:The US “encourages” Israel to avoid unilateral steps that “exacerbate tensions and make it difficult to preserve the viability of a two-state solution,” US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Monday at a press briefing in response to a question about Israeli plans to expand a settlement north of Bethlehem. It could...

White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci voiced his concern Wednesday with states lifting mask mandates and relaxing health measures at this point in the coronavirus pandemic where cases seem to be dropping dramatically across the country. The recent drop in cases is in part due to three different COVID-19 vaccines being rolled out in recent months. Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned of people “completely putting aside all public health measures.” He said doing so at this time was “inviting” another surge in cases.

It's our oil reserves-a gold mine. Just offer 10% of the revenue for every barrel SOLD. That would build the pipelines, the fence and get rid of the windmills. Call it reparations if you want. We can play Santa Claus too-only more meaningful.

Roger Mudd, a longtime CBS News political correspondent who eported on the Pentagon’s profligate spending, whose interview with Edward M. Kennedy ended the senator’s White House prospects and who briefly shared the anchor job at his onetime rival, NBC News, died March 9 at his home in McLean, Va. He was 93. The cause was complications from kidney failure, said a son, Jonathan Mudd. Mr. Mudd spent almost 20 years covering Capitol Hill, political campaigns and corruption scandals for CBS News. He did special reports on the Watergate scandal and its fallout, including the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon...

The Trump administration was on the verge of securing a peace agreement between Israel and Indonesia in its final weeks in office, according to a former senior Trump administration official involved in the efforts. The official divulged that the negotiations between Israel and the world’s most populous Muslim state were run by then-President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner and Adam Boehler, then-head of the US’s International Development Finance Corporation. Israel was represented by then-Ambassador Ron Dermer and Indonesia by Minister Mohamed Lutfi. To secure peace, Boehler told Bloomberg News last December, the US would be willing to provide Indonesia...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama said the defeat of former President Donald Trump allows activists the chance to “breathe for a moment” in a new interview published Wednesday. “We breathe for a moment, but there’s still work to be done,” she said when asked about the results of the 2020 campaign.

n the Dark Ages, rulers said follow the word of God – as interpreted by us – or we’ll burn you at the stake. Today, Democrats say follow the science (our God) – or we’ll burn you at the stake of public opinion. Last week, Science Joe Biden blasted Texas and Mississippi for lifting face-mask mandates, calling it “Neanderthal thinking.” The president was quite agitated when he insisted: “The last thing, the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in mean time (the meantime?) everything is fine, take off your mask. Forget it. It’s (sic) still matters… And it’s...

You’re getting tired of hearing it and we’re getting tired of saying it, but the truth remains: there is an all-out assault on our 2A rights, and it’s escalating with each passing day. Last week it was the reintroduction of legislation to criminalize private transfers, known as H.R. 8, and a few weeks before that H.R. 127 made its debut, a proposal to mandate nation-wide licensing and registration while also making one’s right to keep and bear arms contingent upon a psych test. Oh, and it would also require one to purchase liability insurance at the cost of at...

Remember when Donald Trump was attacked daily for his cruel and racist immigration policies? When the clichés du jour were “ripped from their family’s arms” and “held in cages”? The “cages” filling the news were actually from the Obama era, but progressives notoriously take liberties with the truth when taking advantage of a useful crisis. Under Trump’s policies, in fact, we recovered some control of our border and started reducing the death and disorder the Dems’ virtually open border produced. “Asylum seekers,” an elastic category that seldom required evidence that a migrant faced lethal threats in his home country, now...

For some reason we all feel the need to continue to tiptoe around one of the most awful, lazy, and selfish groups in America: left-wing public teachers unions and the teachers who support them. It’s time we realize we are not “in this together.” Yes, we’ve heard that from Hollywood videos and Super Bowl ads, and from politicians and commercials, but unfortunately it just ain’t so.When President Joe Biden made a rare public appearance for a CNN town hall in February, for example, Justin Belot, a teacher in his mid-30s, asked, “Why is it OK” to make him and his colleague...

A female independent contractor and a female small business owner criticized congressional Democrats for supporting a radical labor reform they said would harm female business owners across the nation. The pair ripped into the PRO Act, a massive labor overhaul that congressional Democrats are planning to vote on this week. The bill, based on California's AB5 law, would restructure U.S. labor regulations to significantly weaken right-to-work laws passed by more than half of the states in the country, and would also limit the ability of individuals to work as independent contractors. Jennifer O'Connell, a freelance writer and yoga instructor, said...

At the FEMA-supported, state-run COVID-19 vaccination site at Miami Dade College’s North Campus, the official line is that if you are under 65 with underlying health conditions, you need a doctor’s note to get a shot. But several young adults we spoke with say they got a vaccine without that. In fact, so many vaccinations were administered on Tuesday that cars were turned away...

LOS ANGELES, California — California Governor Gavin Newsom delivered his annual “State of the State” address from an empty Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night, hoping to rally support as he faces a likely recall election in the coming months. Newsom struck an optimistic tone, noting that the state’s coronavirus numbers were improving. And he admitted errors: “We have made mistakes,” he said. “I have made mistakes. But we own them. We learn from them. And we never stop trying.”

A controversial gun bill backed by House Democrats could steer taxpayer dollars to a leading gun-control ally to consult on a federal study of the background check system. Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn's (D., S.C.) H.R. 1446 would require the attorney general to work with the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Firearms to report how the bill affects victims of domestic violence and empower the group to suggest other reforms. The center is a partner of the gun-control advocacy group Giffords Law Center, according to its website. The Giffords PAC spent more than $11 million backing Democratic candidates...
