Turner Classic Movies will hold a full roundtable discussion at the start of several of old Hollywood's most celebrated films to warn viewers about 'sexist and racist content' - prompting major mixed reaction from fans, with some slamming 'sick' cancel culture. On Thursday, the cable network kicked off Reframed: Classic Films in the Rearview Mirror, a series where it says it examines the 'troubling and problematic' aspects of the classics, which were released from the 1920s to the 1960s. Among the 18 flicks under the microscope include Breakfast at Tiffany's, Psycho, Gone With the Wind, My Fair Lady, Stagecoach, The...

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany isn’t surprised that President Biden hasn’t held a solo press conference despite having been in office for more than six weeks. She called his actions “extraordinary” but “not unprecedented” on FOX Business' “Varney and Co.” “You'll recall... the ‘basement strategy’ is what he employed on the campaign trail,” she told host Stuart Varney, referring to then-candidate Biden doing press from his basement. “He went something like 50 days and he only took questions twice. And when he did, they were hand-picked questions.” Biden's immediate predecessor, Donald Trump, held his first news conference on...

Question. Why are all the amendments failing 49-50 without forcing the VP to cast the “deciding” vote and force the Administration to OWN the results ? Why is Alaska Senator Sullivan (Republican?) not voting on any of the amendments that are failing 49/50?

The University of South Alabama has suspended three professors and ordered an independent investigation in response to an outcry over newly leaked photos from a 2014 on-campus Halloween party, showing the educators in racially insensitive costumes. The pictures show then-Mitchell College of Business dean Bob Wood dressed as a Confederate general, and smiling professors Alex Sharland and Teresa Weldy posing with a whip and a noose. On Thursday, University of South Alabama President Tony Waldrop announced that Wood, Sharland and Weldy have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation into the incident, which will be conducted...

A Democratic senator is being slammed by her own party for the way in which she 'flippantly' voted against a minimum wage increase pushed by Senator Bernie Sanders on Friday. Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, 44, sided with Republicans and seven other senators as she voted down an amendment to President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill that would increase the minimum wage to $15. Yet it was the way in which Sinema cast her vote that has caused a social media storm and led to her being compared to late Arizona senator John McCain.

CNN might want to consider rebranding itself. Suggested new name: "The Pro-Biden Miracle Network." The suggestion arises because twice this week, the network has broken out the m-word on behalf of pro-Biden causes. On Wednesday, we caught New Day co-host John Berman hailing as a "miracle" President Biden's claim that by May, there'd be enough vaccine available for all American adults. Anyone recall CNN describing as a "miracle" the success of Trump's Operation Warp Speed, which led to the development of safe and effective coronavirus vaccines long before the "experts" thought that would be possible? Neither do I. And yet...

Top Biden Economic Policy Adviser Linked to Kashmiri Extremists By J. M. Phelps Islamist Watch meforum.org and American Spectator https://spectator.org/sameera-fazili-biden-adviser-kashmir-extremists/ March 5, 2021 [Caption] On February 24, Sameera Fazili, deputy director of the National Economic Council, became the first Muslim American woman to hold a White House press briefing. Promising to put together one of the most diverse cabinets in American history, President Joe Biden has appointed at least 20 Indian-Americans to various positions within his administration, including the first two women of Kashmiri descent. Alarmingly, one of his latest picks to the National Economic Council (NEC) has a history...

It's okay for youtube to show Jane Curtain's bra covered mammary glands, but it is not okay for them, when Emily latilla(Gilda Radner) calls Jane a "bitch" at the end of the skit? Also what about the "cultural appropriation" by Gilda Radner, with her character of "roseanadana". An obvious mocking of Puerto Ricans. Time for the leftists to cancel Gilda.

Retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), who voted to convict Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial, said Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” that the former president will not be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2024. Cavuto said, “I know you’re leaving the Senate. You got into a storm of controversy with your own state GOP because you voted to convict the president in the impeachment trial in the Senate. Do you look back at that and have any regrets and the wrath you have received for that vote and the criticism of the president...

President Joe Biden will hold his first presidential press conference by the end of the month, White House press secretary Jen Psaski said Friday. 'We look forward to holding a full press conference in the coming weeks before the end of the month,' Psaki told reporters at the press briefing. 'And we're working on setting a final date for that and as soon as we do we will let you all know.' Psaki was asked why Biden had delayed a full Q&A with journalists, bucking a tradition to do one in the early weeks of an administration, which has been...

Journalist Glenn Greenwald has criticized MSNBC host Joy Reid for what he calls 'conspiratorial derangement' after she claimed a senator was a Russian agent. The journalist, part of a team that won a Pulitzer for reports about government surveillance programs based on leaks by Edward Snowden, slammed Reid on Friday for stating that Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, was acting on behalf of Russia. Reid was mocking the senator who has come under fire himself for questioning accounts of what what occurred on January 6 at the Capitol, but Greenwald did not find Reid's description amusing.

ICE has locked down a Twitter account that was used to alert the public to illegal immigrants released by sanctuary cities. @ICEAlerts is now “protected,” meaning only those who had already been following the account can see the target names. Users also can’t retweet the old posts, said Jon Feere, a former senior employee at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under President Trump. ICE called buttoning up the account a routine update to “its many communications tools to ensure accurate information consistent with current priorities. “As with similar accounts associated with prior administrations’ policies, @ICEalerts was archived as it was...

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but if QAnon is such an existential threat to our republic, as the media and federal law enforcement agencies would have us believe, why haven't they captured or neutralized this threat? After all, we're not talking about cave-hopping, Tora-Bora dwelling Jihadis. The alleged threat isn't emanating from some faraway land. Supposedly, this group is home grown and the US government, we are also led to believe, is keeping close tabs on them. Yet, with the plethora of mind-bogglingly sophisticated tracking and surveillance technology at their disposal, are we supposed to believe the government is helpless against this seemingly almighty foe? Isn't obvious by now that this whole thing is a crock of BS? There, I said it.

Both chambers of the New York state legislature have passed a bill to limit Gov. Andrew Cuomo's emergency powers granted in the pandemic. The Friday vote fell along party lines in the Senate with 43 Democrats voting in favor against 20 Republican votes. The Assembly voted 107-43 several hours after the Senate’s approval to require more legislative oversight before directives are modified or extended. Cuomo will have to sign off on it for it to take effect. If he doesn't, state Democrats have a veto-proof majority in the legislature to override his vote. The bill, which was introduced Tuesday by...

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren" (Proverbs 6:16-19).

Preschool teacher Michele Ryan was nearly in tears when she filled out her 2020 taxes and learned that she owes the government more than $3,100 despite being unemployed for a significant portion of last year. She owes about $1,000 in taxes on unemployment income, but the bulk of her bill - $2,100 - is to repay some of the subsidy she received to buy health insurance last year. According to the federal government, Ryan earned too much money on unemployment. It was more money than she would have made working as a preschool teacher, and it bumped her into a...

This week the governors of Texas and Mississippi relaxed restrictions that have been harming commerce in their states. Statewide mask mandates were cancelled and capacity restraints on businesses were removed. President Biden called these governors "Neanderthals for daring to break the nation's unified front against this disease." Dr Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) echoed Biden's anger. "Right now we are at a critical nexus in the pandemic," she warned. "Granted, this is the 83rd critical nexus we have faced since the pandemic started. Each time we urged that we all hold the line...
