Burger King doesn't want to come out a loser in fast food's chicken sandwich wars. So it's planning an upgrade. The chain said Wednesday that it is replacing its current crispy chicken sandwich with a new, hand-breaded version. The new product, which comes in original or spicy, is made with a savory signature sauce and served with pickles on a potato bun. It will be available at Burger King restaurants across the country later this year. Competition in the chicken sandwich space is fierce. Following the wild success of the Popeyes chicken sandwich launch in 2019, restaurants across the industry...

WASHINGTON — A devastating winter storm that has plunged Texas into an electricity crisis offers warning signs for the U.S. as the Biden administration seeks to prepare for a future in which extreme weather is a greater risk and America is almost entirely powered by renewable energy. Energy generation is one challenge. But an equally daunting task centers on storing power from renewable energy for extreme events like the one hammering Texas. Wind and solar, still fairly small slices of the state's energy mix, played only a minimal role in the sudden power shortage, utility officials said — contrary to...

Would it shock you to know that Jesus experienced the feeling of having accomplished little? In Isaiah 49:4 we read these words: “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain….” Note that these are not the words of Isaiah, who was called by God at a mature age. No, they are Christ’s own words, spoken by One “called…from the womb; from the matrix of my mother…The Lord…formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him, so that Israel is gathered to Him” (49:1, 5). When I came...

China Joe Biden held a townhall on CNN last night, and never managed to mention the 4 million Texans freezing in the dark without electricity through the course of the event. That’s what Democrats refer to as “unity.” Biden did manage to lie a lot, though, par for the course for any Democrat politician. He started with this whopper, telling Anderson Cooper that “we didn’t have it [the coronavirus vaccine] when we came into office.”:

AUSTIN, Texas - Winter weather that has overwhelmed power grids unprepared for climate change and left millions without electricity in record-breaking cold kept its grip on the nation’s midsection Wednesday. At least 20 people have died, some while struggling to find warmth inside their homes. In the Houston area, one family succumbed to carbon monoxide from car exhaust in their garage; another perished after flames spread from their fireplace. Blame the polar vortex, a weather pattern that usually keeps to the Arctic, but is increasingly visiting lower latitudes and staying beyond its welcome. Scientists say global warming caused by humans...

FRANKFURT - Unpaid debt from pandemic-stricken borrowers has ravaged profits at Europe’s big banks and kick-started a debate among politicians about whether they may ultimately need state help. Reflecting on the pandemic impact, many bank executives say the worst is behind them, with Societe Generale CEO Frederic Oudea and BNP Paribas CEO Jean-Laurent Bonnafe predicting an imminent rebound. While executives voice confidence, European officials worry the banks’ problems have barely begun. They fear more borrowers will default when government support, including billions of euros of loan guarantees in France, Spain and elsewhere, is unwound. Officials spelt out their concerns in...

The final report of the sexual misconduct of the late Ravi Zacharias was released last week. Many of us knew the findings would be devastating due to a preliminary report issued several months ago, and even before that report, credible accounts started to surface about his personal lifestyle, rife with sexual dalliances. Reading the report makes us shake our heads in disbelief. How could someone who came across as brilliant, gifted, and credible lead a secret life of such utter slavery to sexual sin? What do we say?

A New York Times report indicates that anti-Trump Republican Adam Kinzinger (IL) has not only been censured by his own party but is being shunned by members of his own family. Kinzinger has been on the offensive of late, urging the Republican party to cleanse itself of former President Donald Trump. ... He is one of only 10 Republicans in the House to have voted in favor of impeachment earlier this year. The Times, in a piece they title ‘Adam Kinzinger’s Lonely Mission,’ notes that the anti-Trumper received a two-page, handwritten letter from 11 members of his family.

During Tuesday’s broadcast of FNC’s “Hannity,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) weighed in on the developing feud between former President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). Graham reminded viewers that McConnell played a role in Trump’s successes but said Trump would be a needed component for Republicans to win the majority back in 2022.

Meanwhile in 21st century America, in addition to binging Netflix, people took the opportunity to become even more woke than they already were.An increasing number of woke teachers are refusing to study the Bard — accusing his classic works of promoting “misogyny, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, and misogynoir.”A slew of English literature teachers told the School Library Journal (SLJ) how they were ditching the likes of “Hamlet,” “Macbeth” and “Romeo and Juliet” to instead “make room for modern, diverse, and inclusive voices.”“Shakespeare was a tool used to ‘civilize’ Black and brown people in England’s empire,” insisted Shakespeare scholar Ayanna Thompson,...

Rahm Emanuel, former White House chief of staff to President Barack Obama, famously said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that [is] it is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not before.”

Former President Donald Trump captured the core of the problem in his official statement following his acquittal in the Senate impeachment trial: "It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree." This is the state of affairs today. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, salivating over the one article of impeachment hastily passed by...

U.S. passenger airline traffic fell 60.1% in 2020 to the lowest number since 1984 as the COVID-19 pandemic devastated demand for air travel, the U.S. Transportation Department said on Tuesday. In total, there were 368 million passengers in 2020, down from 922.6 million in 2019. The previous yearly low was 351.6 million in 1984, the department said. December air travel fell 62%, slightly more than the decline in November, the department said. For all of 2020, U.S. domestic air travel fell by 58.7%, while international travel fell 70.4% as many countries imposed significant travel restrictions. U.S. airlines say air travel...

According to one actress, ending her unborn baby’s life only improved her own.In a recent video gone largely unnoticed by the media, Jameela Jamil doubled down on her abortion position. The Good Place actress came out publicly in support of abortion back in 2019, when she called her past abortion the “best decision” she had “ever made.” In her latest comments made on February 5, she said the same thing. Abortion made her life a “million times better,” she said, while an unwanted baby can “f***ing ruin everything.”In interviews and on social media, Jamil has become outspoken on abortion.“My life...

The thought hit me early this morning. One rich group of politicians constantly sends out messages about how horrible the "other side" is and a huge number of people on that group's side screams, "Get them!". The problem is, each rich group is exactly like the other side. They care little to nothing about the Bible, Jesus or God, they're both immoral, both lie, both care little or nothing about the poor, both gossip, both deceive, both curse, both cheat and steal assets, both drink alcohol in prodigious quantities, do drugs, etc., ad nauseum. It's no wonder Republicans voted against...

Nobody listens especially politicians until the lights (and heat!) go out. Texas voters will remember how our state officials 'managed' this energy crisis and set us up for failure with a foolish reliance on wind and solar that is not advanced enough to keep us warm. For some rolling blackouts are a big misnomer that have people freezing for many hours if not days. Pray and be good neighbors, especially to the elderly and those with little children.

An 18-year-old animal shelter volunteer in Colorado was allegedly beaten to death in a parking lot by her ex-boyfriend, authorities said. It appears the Communist Chinese Party puppet Biden regime is coming after anyone who is in opposition to its ideology, plans, and actions. From military purges of constitutionalists/conservatives to ordinary citizens who espouse support for the Constitution and a reformation to founding and religious principles, the CCP Biden regime is pushing full steam ahead to criminalize freedoms and liberties. As of Thursday, February 11, 2021, The Washington Times reported the target is now law enforcement. America’s cops are the victims of “McCarthyism from the left,” says a growing chorus of police officers bucking the narrative that White supremacists have infiltrated...
