A medical staffer retrieves a COVID-19 test kit from a car windshield at the Bueno Foods drive-thru testing site in the South Valley in December. (Adolphe Pierre-Louis/Journal) New Mexico recorded its lowest daily COVID-19 case count since mid-October with 434 cases announced in an update on Tuesday afternoon. The last time the number dropped this low was Oct. 13 when 355 cases were tallied. At that time there were only three new deaths reported from the virus while, on Tuesday, an additional 15 pushed the death toll past 3,300. The rolling average of cases have been on a steady decline...

(No search results) People hate America's big disparities in wealth. It's a reason why, among young people, socialism is as popular as capitalism. The Democratic Socialists of America want a country based on "freedom, equality and solidarity." That sure sounds good. But does socialism bring that? My new video debunks several myths about socialism. One reason for socialism's continued appeal is linguist Noam Chomsky. For generations, his work has taught students that capitalism is "a grotesque catastrophe." I assumed the fall of the Soviet Union would put an end to such misinformation. It did -- for about a month. But...

A professor wished death on supporters of President Trump in a tweet, but his university says he's facing no consequences because no one has filed an "official complaint." The College Fix reported the tweet from Mark Alfano of Macquarie University in Australia, who recently received a grant of nearly $1 million to study "intellectual humility" toward political opponents. Under the online name Neon Trotsky, he shared a newspaper statement about the death of a Trump supporter during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. "More of this please," he wrote.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs defended Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Tuesday amid a Democratic plan to strip the controversial Georgia congresswoman of her committees. “Since taking back the House majority in 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat conference have led the most radical agenda in our nation’s history, stopping at nothing to overthrow and undermine the Trump presidency and to demonize fellow Republicans in Congress," Biggs said in a statement. "They seek to silence and discontinue conservative voices, while expanding their progressive, anti-American schemes. The Left is aided by their allies in the mainstream media, who issue...

These steps, experts say, could prod more people to abandon the scourge of hoaxes and lies. Last month, millions of Americans watched as President Biden took the oath of office and, in a high-minded Inaugural Address, called for a new era of American unity. But plenty of other Americans weren’t paying attention to Mr. Biden’s speech. They were too busy watching YouTube videos alleging that the inauguration was a prerecorded hoax that had been filmed on a Hollywood soundstage. Or they were melting down in QAnon group chats, trying to figure out why former President Donald J. Trump wasn’t interrupting...

The mother of one of the victims of the 2018 shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, said she spoke to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., after Greene drew widespread backlash last week for outlandish comments she made on social media, including one suggesting that the shooting was a "false flag" operation. The woman, Linda Beigel Schulman, whose son, Scott Beigel, was one of 17 people killed in the attack, said Greene told her that she does not believe major school shootings from the past decade were false flag events or that they had been staged. But, Schulman said,...

This study concluded that transwomen (biological males) have the “desire to have physiologic experiences unique to cisgender women, such as menstruation and gestation, as well as potentially having a physiologically functioning transplanted vagina.” Also, the authors found that transgender women “may expect the ability to menstruate to enhance satisfaction with their desired gender and uterus transplant and anticipate improvements in perceptions of their femininity.” Those surveyed also cited that potentially having a functional vagina transplanted might also enhance sexual function and quality of life.

Speaking with Newsmax on Tuesday, Lindell repeatedly tried to voice his allegations against Dominion Voting Systems, which Trump and his allies have accused of being involved in efforts to rig the vote against him. âMike, thank you very much,â Sellers said as Lindell tried to talk over him, repeating Lindellâs name multiple times in an attempt to get his attention. âYouâre talking about machines that we at Newsmax have not been able to verify any of those kinds of allegations,â Sellers continued. âWe just want to let people know that thereâs nothing substantive with what weâve seen.â

With The Fed printing money ‘out the wazoo’, monetizing COVID relief package debt as fast as Congress can pass the bills, demand for bullion was already surging. Former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, the runner-up in last month’s presidential poll, yesterday asked the Supreme Court to annul the election victory of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party. Mr Kyagulanyi, who is widely known by the stage name Bobi Wine, also wants the judges to declare that the Electoral Commission (EC) failed to conduct the January 14 General Election in accordance with the law and, as such, Mr Museveni was not validly elected. In a petition filed at the Supreme Court in Kololo, a Kampala suburb, the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader asked court...

Amid a surge in high-profile assassinations and violent attacks, the Biden administration is indicating it will keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan past a May withdrawal deadline laid out in the U.S. deal with the Taliban. President Joe Biden has talked about keeping U.S. forces for counter terrorism or to defend the U.S.-backed Afghan government against a rise in Taliban attacks, but it's unclear under what conditions, to what end and for how long after America's nearly 20 years of war.

House Republicans are gearing up for a referendum on Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney’s role in leadership this week after she supported Democrats’ rushed second impeachment of former President Donald Trump. Cheney ignited backlash from her own party three weeks ago when she announced her support for Democrats’ plan to remove the outgoing president days before the end of his term. The three-term Wyoming congresswoman claimed her choice to indict the president whose restrained foreign policy approach she frequently opposed was a “vote of conscience.” The timing of her move on the eve of the vote hurt members of the caucus...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In recounting her terrifying experience in the Capitol when America's sacred and holy democracy was assaulted by Lin Wood's Twitter followers, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed that the attack was much more horrible and terrifying than anyone originally thought. "At one point, two scary men in MAGA hats, like, literally threw copies of Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell, literally right at me," said AOC. "They said: 'Read this! Read this please!' in their very scary man voices. I thought at that moment I was going to die. I'm lucky to still be standing before you today."
