Former President Barack Obama on Tuesday criticized the Democrat party for relying too long on the “same old folks” instead of promoting young leaders. “Now one thing I will say about the Democratic Party, promoting young people is really important,” Obama said. “We stick so long with the same old folks and don’t make room for new voices.”

You have to love South Dakota GOP Gov. Kristi Noem! She openly mocks Joe Biden with this tweet, after Biden promised Americans Government “help” is on the way. She uses a famous Reagan quote to do it – “I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help!” Video of President Reagan’s statement. . . .

It’s not Trump supporters who are living in a fantasyland, but members of the corporate media who sense their power and influence waning. With the end of Donald Trump’s presidency fast approaching, we’ve seen a surge of columns and posts asserting that Republicans and Trump supporters have lost touch with reality. After four years of marinating in “falsehoods” and “disinformation”—a term that really just means “information I don’t like”—Trump’s backers are all turned around, we’re told. They believe much that isn’t so. David Brooks of The New York Times explains that these poor saps, most of whom, he says, are uneducated,...

There was no indication that the plaintiffs gave notice to the adverse parties of the morning’s motion, there was no affidavit filed with the motion, the complaint is not verified and there was no certification from counsel about the efforts made to give notice to the adverse parties or why notice should not be required. At 3:15 that afternoon, the plaintiffs filed another document. It appears on the docket as a motion to amend or correct, but the document itself is captioned, “Plaintiffs’ Corrected Motion for Declaratory, Emergency, and Permanent Injunctive Relief.” This motion indicates that the earlier motion was an...

If you've got an unproven, wacky conspiracy theory you would like to float, try CNN. Chances are, the "journalists" there will take it. So long as it targets a Republican, of course. On today's New Day, CNN legal analyst Elie Honig floated the possibility that President Trump might be making a deal with Giuliani to grant him a pardon in return for Rudy's silence on Trump's ostensible misdeeds. Honig, of course, offered no evidence in support of his slimy suggestion. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

This week, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich) was one of those nominated by Time to be its "Person of the Year." The editors praised "her pioneering efforts to transform her state from an out-dated racist republic to a vibrant authoritarian dictatorship. While there were other governors who similarly ruled with an iron fist, none were as effectively 'in-your-face' as Gov. Whitmer." Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) was also nominated, but is not expected to make the final cut because "his state's legislature is not trying to impeach him. " Self-proclaimed Gov. Stacey Abrams (D-GA) also received a nomination, but is not favored...

It is past time to bring the discussion Americans are now having in private into public light. The longer it stays underground and forbidden, the more we risk serious and sudden shocks to our political and cultural life together. Only by having this debate out in public can we hope to resolve the current crisis. When we can’t agree as a people on the purpose of government, or even about what human nature is, the next logical question is: how can we stay together as citizens? What truths, in other words, do we still think self-evident? What is the basis...

This morning, Trump attorney Jesse R. Binnall joined Maria Bartiromo. During the interview, Binnall told Bartiromo that by 5:00 p.m. today, the Trump legal team will submit specific evidence of voter fraud in Nevada, including evidence that more than 40,000 people voted twice. https://twitter.com/TeamTrump/status/1334139723128958978?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1334139723128958978%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Felectionwiz.com%2F2020%2F12%2F02%2Ff09f9aa8breaking-trump-team-says-40000-people-voted-twice-in-nevada%2F

President Trump urged a “hapless” Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to overrule Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on the matter of matching ballot signatures during the state’s recount effort. Both Kemp and Raffensperger are Republicans. Georgia adopted emergency rules ahead of the election to protect the privacy of the voter by calling for the separation of the ballot from the envelope. Meaning, as Raffensperger has insisted, “matching the signature on the outer envelope to the absentee ballot on the inside is impossible.” The President’s campaign has asserted for quite some time that any recount in Georgia “would be a sham” without...

After AG Bill Barr says no evidence of widespread fraud in 2020 election, 9 Texas Republicans decry "shocking lack of action" on allegations. On the same day that U.S. Attorney General William Barr said the Justice Department had found no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election, nine Texas Republicans in Congress signed a letter chastising Barr for a "shocking lack of action" in response to unproven allegations that fraud occurred. "We appreciate an Attorney General who reveres the Constitution, who understands the rule of law and is able to skillfully and forcefully convey these ideals. What the American people...

My confidence in President Trump's eventual reelection is based on a preponderance of evidence that seems blatantly clear. But there's a chance the forces arrayed against him will not allow the truth to come out. There's also a slight chance he simply doesn't want to be president anymore.

A celebration of 2020? Many might think we should just hold our breath and say good riddance to what has been the most challenging year of this century. But I think we still have things worth raising a glass to. This year we have all made sacrifices; we’ve had our endurance tested. Yet we’ve found ways to help our neighbors, local businesses, and frontline workers. That spirit is behind this, our second annual People of the Year issue, which celebrates four individuals (with four covers!) who have not just wowed us with their talent but been forces for good in...

On July 1, 1991, President George H.W. Bush nominated Judge Clarence Thomas to replace the recently retired Justice Thurgood Marshall on the United States Supreme Court. Bush had made a compromise with the appointment of David Souter to replace longtime Justice, William Brennan. Now Bush knew he would face stiff opposition from the conservative wing of the GOP’s base if he didn’t nominate a judge with a strong background of conservative rulings. Four years earlier, Judge Robert Bork had his nomination by President Ronald Reagan ruthlessly sabotaged by Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy. The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that...

President Trump's fired 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale is hitting out at the decision to diverge from his 'plan' – while claiming he was one of two de facto campaign managers for Trump's historic 2016 victory. The person he left out in the telling he gave to Fox News in his first post-election interview was Trump's 2016 campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. She was the first woman to helm a successful presidential campaign. 'In '16, people don't like to admit it, I was the semi-quasi campaign manager,' Parscale told Fox host Martha McCallum. He also said he would have been more...

America’s recent election and the COVID-19 pandemic fueled a gun-buying binge that continued in November, making 2020 into the top year ever for firearms sales — by a country mile. The FBI reported today that it recorded a 42% surge in background checks for firearms in November. Last month, it conducted 3.6 million. In November 2019, it was 2.5 million. And already this year, the FBI has recorded 35.7 million background checks. In all of record-setting 2019, there were 28.3 million checks. That means 2020 background checks for guns are already 25% over last year, and there is still a...
