President Donald Trump continued playing videos of former Vice President Joe Biden’s worst moments of his political career at a rally in New Hampshire on Sunday. The latest video featured a famous resurfaced clip of the vice president talking about his days as a lifeguard. “I got hairy legs that turned — blonde in the sun. And the kids used to come up and reach into the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and watch the hair come back up again,” Biden recalled during a speech in June 2017.The former vice president then said he “learned...

Experts will know by early December whether a potential coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective, but widespread availability will probably not happen until next year, Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday. "We will know whether a vaccine is safe and effective by the end of November, beginning of December," the director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said. "The amount of doses that will be available in December will not certainly be enough to vaccinate everybody -- you'll have to wait several months into 2021." Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, Fauci added that the vaccination...

President Donald Trump made a prediction about the GOP's control of the Senate at a fundraiser this week, "I think the Senate is tough actually. The Senate is very tough," Trump said, according to an attendee who shared the President's comments on condition of anonymity with the Post. "There are a couple senators I can't really get involved in. I just can't do it. You lose your soul if you do. I can't help some of them. I don't want to help some of them." Trump's comments were made at a closed-door gathering held in Nashville, Tennessee, before the last...

Vanity Fair acknowledges that Joe Biden has barely set foot in Wisconsin, but it has reassured its showbiz-obsessed readers that he has a secret weapon: celebrities. In one of the most laughably tone-deaf stories of the campaign season the magazine informs its liberal readers that celebrities will be deployed "virtually" (since it is too much to expect them to actually mingle with the Cheesehead peasants) to raise money for the Democrats in that state.

Undecided Black women voters call out Joe Biden for taking their vote for granted “Too often we automatically think that because someone looks like you, that they’re gonna have your best interests at heart—and that’s just not simply true.”

France has recalled its ambassador to Turkey for consultations after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan insulted his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. He said Mr Macron needed a mental health check for pledging to defend secular values and fight radical Islam. Mr Macron has spoken out forcefully on these issues after a French teacher was murdered for showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in class. France "will not give up our cartoons", he said earlier this week. Depictions of the Prophet Muhammad can cause serious offence to Muslims because Islamic tradition explicitly forbids images of Muhammad and Allah (God).

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden posted a video message in which he says “America was an idea” that “we’ve never lived up to.” His statement is interspersed with a notable line from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident …” “America was an idea, an idea,” he says in the clip. “‘We hold these truths to be self-evident.'” “We’ve never lived up to it, but we’ve never walked away from it before, and I just think we have to be more honest,” Biden continues. “Let our kids know, as we raise them, what actually did happen,”...

When Anny Ku heard that there were coronavirus vaccines on offer in Yiwu, a city in China's eastern Zhejiang province, she traveled more than 600 miles (965 kilometers) for a chance to get the shot. Ku worked in Chile for more than 20 years as an importer and exporter, but she returned to her home in southern China earlier this year after the coronavirus pandemic worsened and a large number of cases appeared in South America. There had been no official announcement that a vaccine was available in Yiwu -- just a series of articles in local media -- but...

THE FOOD and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Philippines on Thursday said Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinovac Biotech Ltd. is the only company so far to pass the pre-vaccination screening phase locally among three applicants and is expected to begin clinical trials soon. FDA Director General Rolando Enrique D. Domingo, in a briefing, said out of the three applicants that approached the Department of Science and Technology’s vaccine expert panel, only Sinovac has completed the pre-screening process. “They applied today with the FDA for clinical trial permission to conduct a clinical trial here,” he said in mixed Filipino and English.. China has put all its “chips” into China’s fledgling semiconductor industry. Many companies are charging into the semiconductor industry. The trend, with the encouragement of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is occurring because of pressure from the Trump administration to cut off Chinese technology companies from U.S. chips. But this latest chip rush may also create vast inefficiencies, divert local resources into wasteful ventures, and usher in a 21st-century version of the “Great Leap Forward”—the disastrous 1950s plan by Mao Zedong to surpass the West in steel production that resulted in mass famine and economic despair. The need to invest in indigenous semiconductor...

Oct. 26 falls on a Thursday this year. Ask the significance of the date, and you're likely to draw some puzzled looks — five more days to stock up for Halloween? It's a measure of men like Col. Mitchell Paige and Rear Adm. Willis A. "Ching Chong China" Lee that they wouldn't have had it any other way. What they did 58 years ago, they did precisely so their grandchildren could live in a land of peace and plenty. Whether we've properly safeguarded the freedoms they fought to leave us, may be a discussion best left for another day. Today...

The New York Times on Oct. 24, 2020, published an article by tech columnist Kevin Roose about The Epoch Times. The article was published on the front page of the NY Times’ Sunday edition the next day. Roose worked on this article about The Epoch Times for at least eight months. The result, however, is disappointing. Instead of attempting to give a fair portrayal of The Epoch Times as an up-and-coming media outlet, Roose resorts to factual errors, innuendo, and misrepresentations in an attempt to smear a competing media outlet.Furthermore, previous social media comments made by Roose and New York...

As companies grow and become more valuable, they’re able to hire and invest in new products and technologies. But they need skilled workers to grow. This is the Tech Dilemma: Too many jobs, not enough workers. Not exactly what you’d expect with the country walking a pandemic tightrope with over 8.4% unemployment (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics). For instance, many of the FAANGs, or five of the most prominent American tech companies – Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Alphabet (formerly known as Google) – are collectively adding employees to handle the influx of demand attributed to eCommerce.Amazon recently announced that...

Not only did Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden hold another embarrassingly tiny rally on Saturday; he tried to put a positive spin on it by claiming he prefers that only a few people show up at his events because the minuscule “crowds†reduce COVID-19 spread. So how small was it? Joe could’ve held the event in his basement and there would’ve been enough space for everyone to properly social distance. In fact, it was so small that rock & roll icon Jon Bon Jovi played to 12 people and seven pumpkins. That’s how small it was.But here’s the thing. Just...

-snip- During her speech, Cher talked about the importance of “truth” and called it one of Biden’s “great, great attributes.” “Something really important and that is you cannot build anything unless you build it on the truth, and I believe that is one of Joe’s great, great attributes is he is honest. He is truthful,” she said amid mounting reports of the former vice president’s alleged involvement in his son’s foreign business dealings and looming questions over what President Trump has branded the “laptop from hell.” “He knows what he’s doing. He’s smart,” she continued, explaining that Biden will be...
