Helen Reddy, the Australian singer behind feminist anthem I Am Woman, has died aged 78. Reddy died on Tuesday in Los Angeles, her family said in a statement on Facebook. Her children, Traci Donat and Jordan Sommers, described her as a “wonderful mother, grandmother, and a truly formidable woman”. “Our hearts are broken. But we take comfort in the knowledge that her voice will live on forever.” Reddy had a string of pop and rock hits in the 1970s, but is best known for the 1972 anthem I Am Woman — a rousing tune which became prominent in the women’s...

Something that happened to the last 3 Republican presidents, and to Obama in their first reelection debates. Did not happen to Trump. Both Bushes,Obama and even the great Ronald Reagan were dead on their feet and had truly horrible first debates. That's what caused the "Reagan is too old" talk, that he had to salvage with his classic joke about Mondale's youth and inexperience, in a later debate. Most presidents get so used to being catered to in office, they just aren't ready for their first debate. It's been glaring in every other case in recent history. Obama looked like...

A few observations about the debate. 1. Biden was given all of the questions in advance. His answers were memorized and written by a group of people, not Biden himself. 2. Chris Wallace gave Trump dishonest, confrontational questions designed to make the president look bad. Wallace also continually interrupted President Trump. Wallace gave Biden easy questions and let him speak without interruption. 3. The camera angles and choice of shots were set up to make Biden look good. When the President was speaking the camera would be on Biden making derogatory remarks or insulting facial expressions. 4. Whenever the President...

According to a tweet from ReopenBucks County PA, State Representative Ullman and Governor Tom Wolf (PA, D) were caught on a hot mic referring to “masks as ‘political theatre’ that they want to get ‘on camera’.” The tweet includes a link to a YouTube video of that instance.

The moment Joe Biden lost the debate. The pivotal moment of Tuesday night’s debate was when Joe Biden was asked if he called Portland Mayor or the Oregon Governor and told them to stop the violence. Joe Biden answered: “I don’t hold public office.” Joe Biden admitted in that moment that he is not a leader. He is not up for the job of president. And he is blind to the violence or afraid to speak out.

Donaldus Magnus, author of "The art of the deal" never once mentioned the d-word. But sleepy Joe? If I took a drink for every time he said "here's the deal" I'd be bunkered down until November 3. Fun for next time...

Joe Biden is the gift to Conservatives that keeps on giving and Tuesday night's Presidential Debate was no exception. Under a banner reading "The Union and the Constitution Forever," I've never seen two candidates come out swingin' so quickly. It was a fight from the start and Biden, despite his unpatriotic black-and-white tie, was the one bleeding. Joe's blunders began almost instantly. When asked why President Trump should not nominate a replacement to Justice Ginsberg, Joe invalidated the 2016 election claiming the American people were "not going to get that chance” to have their say in the selection of a...

SAINT Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen. SANCTE Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio, contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae caelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute, in infernum detrude. Amen.

Joe Biden had every one of these questions ahead of time! It’s beyond obvious and Chris Wallace was despicable as a moderator.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday told President Trump to “shut up, man!” while refusing to say if he wants to add justices to the Supreme Court during the first presidential debate. Trump declined to tell debate moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News whether he would support adding justices to the court if Trump’s conservative pick Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to replace liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

I tuned in briefly to hear the debate. But there was no debate. Instead, there was a two-against-one pile on, Wallace and Biden vs. Trump. Biden was obviously hopped up on something and kept interrupting Trump during Trump's allotted time to speak, with no censure from Wallace, who did plenty of his own interrupting of Trump. Trump was never given, as far as I could see, any opportunity to make his reasoned, logical reply to questions--he was constantly either being walked on, interrupted, or taken to task by Wallace. It was a sleazy parody of a debate. Even in the...

Ali Hassan’s father, a young man who stabbed two people in a meat-cleaver attack outside the former Paris office of controversial Charlie Hebdo magazine last week, said to himself ” proud ”of his son. In an interview with online channel Naya Pakistan, the father, whose name is withheld, said his son had “done a great job” and was “very happy” with the attack. The French government condemned Friday’s stabbing in front of the former office of the satirical magazine as an act of “Islamist terrorism”.
