A few observations about the debate.
1. Biden was given all of the questions in advance. His answers were memorized and written by a group of people, not Biden himself.
2. Chris Wallace gave Trump dishonest, confrontational questions designed to make the president look bad. Wallace also continually interrupted President Trump. Wallace gave Biden easy questions and let him speak without interruption.
3. The camera angles and choice of shots were set up to make Biden look good. When the President was speaking the camera would be on Biden making derogatory remarks or insulting facial expressions.
4. Whenever the President tried to make a point Wallace would interrupt and Biden would jump in. It appeared that Biden had an earpiece and was given instructions on when to interrupt Trump and team up with Wallace.
5. Wallace kept the discussion away from substitutive issues and content and encouraged Biden to make up lies and repeat platitudes.
7. Even with all this I think Trump came across as authentic and honest. Biden came across as fake and rehearsed.
Trump scored MANY factual hits on Biden, and every time he said “that’s not true.”
It’s simple. No one in a debate is expected to debate both his opponent AND the moderator.
The moderator is not expected to be an advocate for either side.
If you don’t think Chris Wallace was an advocate, you’re simply being untruthful.

Trump should make a big deal out of Biden’s promise to end coal and oil fired plants. Also, Biden’s promise to raise taxes.

Trump could have just shut up but he played behavior, no substance. Wallace intervened and Biden...hmm I think the shrinks gave him key word triggers and some meds. Maybe a little hypnosis.

Biden had not answer to many questions 1994 crime bill Law and order name one police agency that endorsed you go ahead we have time why didn’t you speak to mayors and governors about stopping violence and more.

openly biased wallass was totally unfair,
and defended biden with lies,
defended the dnc with lies.
CBS News poll: Who won the debate:Biden 48 percent, Trump 41 percent. Refused to answer(Trump) 10 percent.
If the President has been subdued (”presidential”) the Moderator and the other Democrat would have cleaned his clock. Instead, President Trump jumped in and fought, as he always does. The whole thing wasn’t pretty, but Trump did what he had to do and I think he won the night.
1. There is no proof of this although he clearly memorized ahead and when he went off script he rambled
2. Wallace did seem to give Trump harder questions. When Wallace did ask Biden a few harder questions Biden was not prepared. Trump did not help himself by interrupting so much.
3. Watched it on C-Span so I did not see much of this. No comment
4. Biden interrupted much more than one would think because his voice is lower than Wallaces and he was interrupting at the same time.
5. There were substantive questions but he did let Biden lie a lot. I think the fact checking after the fact will show this.
7. Trump needs to do better and be a little more patient and wait for his turn to pounce. Biden, although scripted, showed he can remember lines. Now he has to prove he has stamina - which will be impossible if you are calling a lid at 9am everyday.
As I’ve been saying, this is now where Pence comes in, more calm, and can better articulate what Trump has actually accomplished.
He will wipe the floor with Kamala.
