Cher took another jab at President Trump on Twitter Wednesday, alleging that he plans to “steal” a second term in office to end fair elections. The singer, 74, is rarely shy about voicing her distaste for Trump and his administration on social media, having previously rebuked him for things like his coronavirus response and the U.S. Postal Service. Her latest charge came Wednesday in a lengthy all-caps tweet in which she floated a theory about the upcoming November election. “Swear 2 you if trump wins/steals 2nd term HE’LL GET HIS WISH ‘SUPREME LEADER’& WE’LL NEVER SEE ANOTHER ELECTION BY THE...

Michigan plans to become carbon neutral by 2050, Michigan Gov. "It was said that Ruth wanted to be an opera virtuoso but became a rock star instead," Chief Justice John Roberts eulogized. "She found her stage right behind me, in our courtroom." "Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of."- United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, quoted in Emily Bazelon, "The Place of Women on the Court", The New York Times Magazine, July 7, 2009

Both Republicans on the five-person North Carolina State Board of Elections submitted their resignations on Wednesday night, saying they were misled about the ramifications of the board's recent legal settlement making rules governing absentee ballots less restrictive. "Regarding the settlement agreement with the plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed by the North Carolina Alliance for Retired Americans against the State Board of Elections, attorneys from [Attorney General] Josh Stein’s office did not advise us of the fact that a lot of the concessions made in the settlement have already been denied in a prior case by a federal judge and another...

John Durham’s team has sought information about the F.B.I.’s handling of the Clinton Foundation investigation, raising questions about the scope of the prosecutor’s review. WASHINGTON — From the beginning, John H. Durham’s inquiry into the Russia investigation has been politically charged. President Trump promoted it as certain to uncover a “deep state” plot against him, Attorney General William P. Barr rebuked the investigators under scrutiny, and he and Mr. Durham publicly second-guessed an independent inspector general and traveled the globe to chase down conspiracy theories.

On 17 September, Mexican authorities said they were checking vehicles coming into Mexico when a car with Arizona plates tried to avoid the checkpoint. The car crashed into another vehicle. The authorities said they found 13,000 rounds of ammunition in the trunk. I do not recommend running from the Mexican authorities. Their rules of engagement are different. They will shoot if they are able to do so. From kvoa.com: MEXICO CITY (AP) — The Mexican government says it has caught a U.S. citizen trying to smuggling 13,000 rounds of ammunition at a border crossing in Nogales, across the border from...

The 2020 presidential election is just six weeks away, and pollsters and pundits are turning more attention to the handful of swing states that could ultimately decide the outcome. While the issue of the Second Amendment hasn't necessarily been at the forefront of this campaign cycle, the notion of gun rights has been a significant flashpoint throughout the turmoil and uncertainty of this year – induced by the ongoing global pandemic and national shutdown and further enhanced by the rioting and unrest that has permeated much of the country in recent months. According to FBI data, the bureau processed 93%...

The Louisville Metro Police Department announced Thursday nearly 100 arrests were made overnight amid demonstrations following a grand jury decision to charge only one officer in connection to the police operation that killed Breonna Taylor, but not her death. A suspect accused in shooting two Louisville police officers during protests Wednesday evening has also been identified. Larynzo Johnson, 26, has been charged with wanton endangerment and assault of a police officer. He will be arraigned Friday. Shots rang out when Louisville police officers were conducting crowd control operations at Broadway and Brook Street “in response to a large crowd that...

Following Jesus means remembering Christ’s command to forgive and to pray for our enemies. It means letting go of malice and bitterness, even under fire. Even though I know better, I recently left a comment on the Facebook post for a Federalist article I saw lamenting mask mandates. I didn’t rant or get on a soapbox. All I did was express my belief that wearing masks protects others and wrote a couple of sentences pointing out the need to look out for our most vulnerable citizens. Since The Federalist is a conservative publication and I tend to lean to the...

With its case for America being founded entirely on the idea of perpetrating slavery meeting pushback and as factual history falling apart, the New York Times is now very, very quietly trying weasel out of the worst claims of its "1619" project, hoping no one is going to notice. According to the Washington Examiner's Becket Adams: New York Times Magazine editors have quietly removed controversial language from the online version of Hannah-Jones’s 1619 Project, a package of essays that argue chattel slavery defines America’s founding. Hannah-Jones herself also asserts now that the project’s core thesis is not what she and everyone else...

Hunter Biden's overseas dealings was "truly breaking news. While it focused on Hunter and James Biden and other Biden family members, Joe Biden has not spoken accurately about his knowledge of Hunter’s involvement in Burisma, the Ukrainian energy concern," Hemingway told "Fox News @ Night." Joe Biden has said he "didn’t know about it when the report showed concerns about Hunter Biden’s role that Biden had been briefed him, and that the FBI was alerted," she said. Senior State Dept official Amos Hochstein raised concerns with VP Biden, that Hunter's position on Burisma’s board enabled Russian disinformation efforts and risked...

With Ginsburg's death, and as we draw closer to the general election, however, we're beginning to see some of the less toxic – but decidedly anti-Trump – Democrats and Republicans call for civility in general and throughout the nomination process in particular. While many moderate Republicans (read "RINO") continue to evidence their true colors, others who've come under fire over their equivocation and grudging support for President Trump are now stating that they'll support moving ahead with Trump's nominee. Such actions are also born of fear and desperation. These people are well-aware that their antics over the last four years...

Yeah, they're raving lunatics, but harnessing that and directing it at this jackass could be a good thing: New details of allegations against Adam “Census Cowboy” Hollingsworth. And once again, we're left speechless by the campaign to make a criminal into a hero. You doubt it? Here's the report that you'll never see in the lame-stream media. In summary: She was on jailhouse recordings running drugs for her man She was under surveillance for months - this wasn't a one-off incident The warrant was for her car and apartment - the cops were exactly where the warrant was issued for By the way - the "no knock" story? Which game critters offer new hunters the best entry into the sport? From spotting to taking down with a clean shot, we cover America’s most feasible options. When getting into the hunting game, it's best to start with some lighter or easier prey to help you practice. Of course, before you head out into the wilderness, you need to do some target practice to ensure you know how to use your weapon properly. Once you can easily hit a target that isn't living, you can start hunting animals. The general rule of thumb for hunting is that the smaller the...

Ever since lockdown began, brunch has been getting a bad rap. There’s this idea that brunch — that lazy, boozy, breakfasty weekend meal — is a shallow, stupid, entitled exercise in unearned privilege. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sure thinks so. Speaking to viewers, the Democratic congresswoman from New York said with a smile, “I’m sorry to tell you you’re not going back to brunch, we’re not going back to brunch. That’s not happening.” What she’s missing is that gathering with friends and breaking bread is the basis of all of our most important traditions, in every religion and in all our...
