Editor's Note: This column was authored by Travis Nix. With about 8.4 percent of Americans unemployed, our country needs real relief. March’s CARES Act did a fine job of keeping the economy on life support, but now Americans need an economic recovery package that actually creates jobs. And that’s certainly not going to come in the form of the $3 trillion bill that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently demanded. Yet there is another bill that could truly lend a hand to hard-working Americans.Aptly titled the CREATE JOBS Act, the proposal introduced by Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Martha McSally (R-AZ) would stimulate the economy by...

Bill Clinton secretly met socialite-turned-accused sex-trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell for an “intimate” dinner in 2014 — well after allegations that she and perv pal Jeffrey Epstein has abused at least one teen, a report said Tuesday. The former president joined Maxwell — who is now cooling her heels in a Brooklyn jail cell on charges involving the alleged sex abuse of young women — and a small group of friends for the meal in Los Angeles after a celebrity gala that February, sources told the Daily Beast.

...On Tuesday night investigative reporter John Solomon told Lou Dobbs the Burisma investigation will be released in the next 24 hours. John Solomon discussed the expected findings in the Burisma report that is expected to be released Wednesday. John Solomon: Here is what the report is likely to reveal. First — The State Department under Joe Biden and Obama believed Joe Biden was engaging in a conflict of interest. Second — The State Department detected a $7 million bribe being paid by Burisma, the company that hired Hunter Biden on its board. Third — There was a pressure campaign inside...

In his new autobiography "Confess", JUDAS PRIEST's Rob Halford reveals that he was once arrested for cruising Venice Beach toilets (in a case of police entrapment), yet the cops didn't release the information to the media because they were PRIEST fans. Asked by NME what effect he thinks being "outed" would have had on him, the singer — who came out as gay on his own terms in 1998 on MTV — said: "The police did me a favor by keeping it out of the press because it would have been big news. I always refer to that, slightly tongue...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday removed updated COVID-19 airborne transmission guidance that it says was “posted in error.” The transmission guidance was updated on the CDC’s website on Friday, and said that “droplets and airborne particles can remain suspended in the air and be breathed in by others, and travel distances beyond 6 feet,” according to CNN. The guidance posted Friday has been removed from the agency’s website. “A draft version of proposed changes to these recommendations was posted in error to the agency’s official website,” the CDC said Monday. “CDC is currently updating its recommendations...

The Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic will be debated, analyzed, and investigated for decades. It’s also unlikely the critique of President Trump and his administration is fair, given the already highly politicized coverage in most media outlets. Congress is getting into the action too by starting to call upon administration officials to testify and requesting documents and reports relating to the federal government’s efforts to combat the deadly virus. This effort appears to be an attempt to win political points for the Democrats leading up to the election. There are many unintended consequences of partisan fishing expeditions, but...

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz warned Tuesday against any attempt to force EU countries to take in asylum-seekers as the European Commission prepared to unveil a new strategy for handling migration to the bloc. Speaking to AFP in an exclusive interview, Kurz alluded to previous efforts by the European Commission to introduce mandatory quotas for refugees for all EU members, which were rejected by many eastern and central European countries. "We find that the distribution in Europe (of asylum seekers) has failed and many states reject this. It won't work like this," the 34-year-old conservative leader said. On Wednesday, Brussels will...

Bishop Schneider: Catholics must be ‘militant Christians’, unafraid to shine like bright stars ‘This is the characteristic of the Church on earth - to be a militant Church and not to have fear’ ROME, September 22, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Bishop Athanasius Schneider called on faithful Catholics to be “militant Christians” who are unafraid to “shine like bright stars in the midst of the darkness and of our perverted generation.” “We have to be confident Christ is in our work, that He is the conqueror, and not be intimidated by these signs of the loss of the supernatural,” Bishop Schneider said...

At dawn this date in 1994, Dutch citizen Johannes van Damme was hanged at Singapore’s Changi Prison for drug trafficking. The first westerner hanged under Singapore’s draconian anti-drug law, the engineer had been nabbed at the airport with 4.32 kilos of heroin. Van Damme, 59 at his death, claimed ignorance of the illicit contents and his case drew appeals from the Dutch government — to no avail. The city-state’s severe criminal code and comprehensively ordered society — “Disneyland with the Death Penalty” in cyberpunk author William Gibson’s formulation — is somewhat notorious at this point. But while foreign migrants and...

‘The voters of this country should be heard,” Joe Biden said this weekend as he exhorted Senate Republicans to block a vote on President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. That might be clever messaging—who doesn’t want voters to be heard? But there’s one problem: Unlike Mr. Trump and Senate Republicans, Mr. Biden has given so few details about his Supreme Court vision that voters are left guessing at what a vote for him means for the judiciary. Start with appointments. Mr. Biden has resisted naming individuals he’d consider for the Supreme Court, saying it would subject them to undue criticism. Fair...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—It was a doubly sad day for the Supreme Court. While they were still mourning the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, pink slips were handed out to Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor as they were told to pack up their things and leave. “I heard about court-packing,” Trump told the press. “I looked into it, and it ends up you can change the number of justices on the Supreme Court! Some people say it's bad, very bad. But I think it may be actually very good, really. We're trying to cut costs and get the...

Barr announced updates on Operation Legend. He was joined by Matthew D. Sargeant Marine Inc., an asphalt company formerly based in Boca Raton, Florida, pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to violate the anti-bribery provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and agreed to pay a criminal fine of $16.6 million to resolve charges stemming from a scheme to pay bribes to foreign officials in three South American countries. According to its admissions, between 2010 and 2018, the company paid millions of dollars in bribes to foreign officials in Brazil, Venezuela, and Ecuador to obtain contracts to purchase or sell asphalt to the countries’ state-owned and state-controlled oil companies, in violation of the...

.... Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell would not promise a vote on Trump's nomination to the Supreme Court before the election 'When the nomination comes out of committee, then I'll decide when and how to proceed,' he said Timing would be tough with less than 40 days for the nominee to meet with senators, have a confirmation hearing and then a floor vote ... When the nomination comes out of committee, then I'll decide when and how to proceed,' he said after the Senate Republicans' lunch on Capitol Hill Tuesday. He would not address if that vote would be before...

As the Chair of the Michigan Republican Party in 2016, I know a thing or two about close elections and every vote making a difference. Four years ago, it was fewer than 11,000 votes that separated President Trump from Hillary Clinton in Michigan. Without a doubt the campaign infrastructure we assembled and the resources we deployed were indispensable in helping this president become the first Republican to carry Michigan in nearly 30 years.A strong get-out-the-vote operation was important then, and it has never been more than it is right now. With close races shaping-up around the country and early voting already...

I didn't know there's a word for it, but google defines glossolalia as: "the phenomenon of (apparently) speaking in an unknown language, especially in religious worship. It is practiced especially by Pentecostal and charismatic Christians." I have a feeling that the Democrats aren't fighting back as hard as I expected on the potential ACB nomination. They have a plan to destroy her, and maybe glossolalia (aka speaking in tongues) will be their means of attack. I can see Kamala asking her, "Do you believe that you have the Gift of Tongues?"

If, like many others, you think nothing of borrowing a friend or colleague’s charging cable, or plugging into a spare one in the office, or even asking for one from a hotel reception desk, then here’s something that might give you pause. How do you fancy an iPhone charging cable that looks like an Apple original and acts like one as well, but which will tap into a connected device and steal all its secrets, and which has its own radio transmitter to send all that stolen data over the air to a waiting attacker.
