Sheriffs from four different Northern Michigan counties have publicly voiced concerns regarding Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s stay-at-home orders. In a joint press release issued as thousands of residents protest at the state capital in Lansing, Leelanau County Sheriff Mike Borkovich, Benzie County Sheriff Ted Schendel, Manistee County Sheriff Ken Falk and Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said they will not strictly enforce Whitmer’s orders in their counties. “While we understand her desire to protect the public, we question some restrictions that she has imposed as overstepping her executive authority,” the sheriffs wrote. “She has created a vague framework of emergency laws...

PORTLAND, Ore. — A team of retirees who scour the remote ravines and windswept plains of the Pacific Northwest for long-forgotten pioneer orchards has rediscovered 10 apple varieties that were believed to be extinct — the largest number ever unearthed in a single season by the nonprofit Lost Apple Project. The Vietnam veteran and former FBI agent who make up the nonprofit recently learned of their tally from last fall’s apple sleuthing from expert botanists at the Temperate Orchard Conservancy in Oregon, where all the apples are sent for study and identification. The apples positively identified as previously “lost” were...

A study in China has suggested that the deadly coronavirus may have spread among people at a restaurant due to its air conditioning. The study was published in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s journal Emerging Infectious Diseases. Researchers examined 10 coronavirus patients from three families who had visited the same restaurant in China’s Guangzhou for dinner. One of the families had just travelled from Wuhan, the epicentre of coronavirus in China. The three families dined at the restaurant while sitting at neighbouring tables on 24 January. Later that day, a person of the family that had come from...

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Russia investigation launched and conducted by James Comey’s Federal Bureau of Investigation deserves to rank as one of the agency’s great blunders — at best. President Trump famously calls the probe a hoax, a label he uses liberally, but in this instance, it may literally be true. We’ve spent years obsessing about Russian meddling in our politics, and now it turns out that the original FBI investigation into the Trump campaign that morphed into the Mueller probe may have been instigated, in part, by Russian disinformation.

If you listened to El Rushbo today, you heard him read an article by somebody (I didn't catch the beginning of the segment) who wrote an article saying President Dr. Trump has thunk about doing a daily radio talk show. Would you listen?

"It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes." It may have been Stalin and it may have been Napoleon. It may have been Boss Tweed. Regardless of the original source, this truism describes government corruption and manipulation to perfection. Even in the face of a global pandemic and an unprecedented government-ordered economic shutdown, politicians are using their power to corrupt vital needed data regarding the Chinese coronavirus and its deadly toll on Americans. The latest escapade comes from America's "ground zero" for COVID-19 infections, New York, where the death tally just surpassed 10,000....

The left-wing activists who run NPR actually performed a rare public service on Tuesday, publishing an expose’ that reveals how Bloomberg News covers for the communist Chinese government in order to maintain its license to operate within that nation. The story demonstrates how Bloomberg’s longing to remain entangled with the inherently corrupt and dishonest ChiComs rendered its own operation equally as corrupt and dishonest. The NPR piece relates that, in 2013, after publishing part 1 of a story detailing the enormous wealth being accumulated by the ChiCom Party elite – typical of what happens in all communist nations – Bloomberg’s...

It was first discovered on Saturday (April 11) and is being tracked by astronomers at several observatories, including the Catalina Sky Survey at Mount Lemmon...

Jussie Smollett had a sexual relationship with one of the Nigerian brothers who allegedly orchestrated his 'hoax' attack, a new source claims. The anonymous insider told Page Six Wednesday that the Empire star, 37, and his purported 'attacker' Abel Osundairo also visited an upscale Chicago bathhouse together on multiple occasions. 'They used to party together and he [Smollet] had a sexual relationship with [Osundairo]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It's known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out,' the source stated.

Posts Posted on April 14, 2020April 15, 2020 A Triduum That Will Forever Stand Apart As most of you know, the Triduum is the three final days of Holy Week: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Easter Vigil. These, along with Easter Sunday, are the most important feasts of the Church year. Until this year it would have been inconceivable for me to celebrate these feasts without the faithful present, but this year was a Triduum that stood apart—apart from the faithful, apart from the public nature of every liturgy.Of course, one can never really be apart from...

Rep. Justin Amash is considering a third-party presidential run this year to challenge President Trump and Joe Biden, and will be making a decision “soon,” his campaign said Wednesday. The campaign for Amash, the former Republican, put out a statement Wednesday saying the Michigan independent will make a decision “soon.” “In mid-February, Justin Amash paused active campaigning for his congressional seat to carefully consider a presidential run,” his campaign said. “He has been discussing the potential campaign with his family, his friends, his team, and others, and a decision can be expected soon.” […] Amash is a libertarian-minded conservative who...

But people from SmugsVille, confident that the public has a short memory, don’t seem to get that patriots, NEVER forget. Straight from SmugsVille, D.C. comes ‘Resistance’ Leader Barack Obama’s “formal” endorsement of former vice president Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential election run. SmugsVille, D.C., incidentally, is within easy walking distance of the White House, where the ever elusive Obama, his wife, Michelle and their consigliere Valerie Jarrett have been running the Democrat Resistance ever since savvy upstart Donald Trump toppled Hillary Clinton on Election Night 2016.

News Analysis The World Health Organization (WHO) is facing a flurry of criticism for its response to the CCP virus pandemic, and much of the problem can be attributed to the growing influence the communist regime in China has had on the organization. Critics mainly point out that the WHO was too slow to recommend travel restrictions and some other preventive measures, and also that the agency accepted information from China at face value, despite numerous red flags. While China experts were sounding alarms about a coverup, the WHO continued to praise China’s response and never warned the world that...

Amid a rally that drew more than 100 protesters to downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday demanding the reopening of the state's economy, a tweet about the demonstration from the city's police department was clear: "Protesting is a non-essential activity." The tweet came after cops earlier declared "protestors are in violation" of Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper's stay-at-home executive order to stop the spread of the coronavirus "and have been asked to leave."

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday announced the first steps in undoing the coronavirus lockdown in the coming weeks, with many shops allowed to open although schools must stay closed until May 4th. Shops up to 800 square metres (8611sq ft) will be allowed to reopen once they have "plans to maintain hygiene", Merkel said, while schools will gradually reopen with priority given to pupils about to take exams. Meanwhile, a ban on large public events will be upheld until August 31st to prevent possible mass transmissions of the virus.
